While many newsagents stock solely tinned and convenience food, Holborns also carried a large selection of fresh fruit, veg, meats and refrigerated foods. I remember stopping by there when I needed that certain ingredient for a recipe, thinking no way they'll have this, but I'll try and sure enough, there it was. Hooray! They carry fireworks and Christmas trees during the appropriate times of year. They also offer a newspaper delivery service, and, if I'm remembering right, a grocery delivery service for a small fee.

The newsagents itself carries all the national and local newspapers, but doesn't have a wide selection of magazines. You are not likely to find any special interest magazines here, just your national well known ones such as Hello, and their ilk. The shop offers newspaper delievery and they are pretty efficent, you are likely to get your papers before 8am or so. This is the newsagents in Woodhatch (the village it is located in) that you are likely to go for post office or stationary needs.

Bradshaws is a top little shop...just up from the war memorial and over the road in dorking town…read morecentre...its like an alladins cave for such a quaint shop...apart from your tobacco products (cheapest in town)they stock all sorts...staff and owner are cheerful and polite and allways have the time to exchange a few words..great shop i highly recommend...oh and you can do your lotto there and get scratch cards...
