would give a zero if I could. this was spectrum business. had service disconnected at our store as we sold it. spectrum came and hooked up new owners and took our equipment. then proceeded to charge us for two more weeks as they are a 'month to month' service. no refund. no credit. Before I begin, I want to say that I have NEVER in my life, which is 23 years, deliberately searched up where to write a review for any product, service, etc. I have always thought this company and their services were complete trash. To this day, I still agree with it. The incident that happened today is mind-boggling. I am in the process of moving and need my services (internet) cancelled on a certain date. I called yesterday at around 7pm. I spoke with whatever representative (can't remember their name - doesn't pay to). Anyways, I requested that my service be cancelled on Saturday, April 18. I was put on at least two holds while this request was placed. Not sure why I need to be placed on hold for a service cancellation request, but I suppose I'm not a service representative. After the two holds, the gentleman confirmed that my cancellation request was placed. The phone call ended shortly after that. It should be noted that I DID NOT receive any email or text confirming my cancellation, which I thought was weird, but I didn't think anything of it. Fast forward to today around 9-10am. I am sitting at my desk doing my normal day-to-day routine. I receive an email detailing that I need to return my spectrum equipment. The email also showed me the date of my cancellation request (April 15). I had a gut feeling that this email was sent because they were about to cancel my service early. Then boom - that exactly happened. I called their customer service line once again. I was directed immediately to the billing department as they thought I was going to pay my last bill. I told the billing representative that I need my services reactivated as they were cancelled early. She transferred me to a different representative, and oh boy, this is where it really shows the true colors of Spectrum. What are those true colors you might ask? Degenerate, scummy and brainless. Continuing, I informed this new representative of my situation. I also told him that he could pull up the phone record and listen to the entire 35-minute conversation yesterday regarding my cancellation and the date I requested it be cancelled. Oh, he was so understanding and told me that he would get it fixed right up! Boy, did he fix NOTHING I tell ya. He informed me that he could get my services back up and running fine. Oh, but with one caveat. I was being forced to pay 60$ (which is my normal bill that is due at the end of this month) plus 50$ (this is the 'new' internet price as if I'm requesting a new service) plus 30$ for a reactivation fee. I about died laughing. I told him that I didn't understand, but I did. I just wanted him to repeat himself to make sure. This company - Spectrum - wanted me to pay over 100$ to REACTIVATE services. Their representative made a mistake and did not put the cancellation request in the system properly. This turns into the customer paying MORE money? NO. Not happening. I was then offered a free Verizon phone line for the inconvenience. I cannot tell you how many times I have been offered this line. Every single call, I am offered. I respectfully declined and told him I wanted this fixed. I am not paying money to reactivate service when I shouldn't even need to be in this call requesting such. Moreover, I was transferred again, and the service was reactivated without charging me a dime. Wouldn't it just be easier to allow all your representatives to do the same thing and not turn these HUMANS into brainless robots? I have nothing more to say, and this company isn't worth anything more than the dirt off my hands. For the love of God, if you are in need of internet or phone service, find a different company. read more

Had Spectrum come out to remove a old cable box and wire. Called Spectrum because he never shower up and the phone call was a complete joke. Guy finally arrived and was extremely rude from the start. He removed the cable box and left the cut wire hanging in the tree. read more

Spectrum is the worst for mobile service. They don't know what there doing in the Oshkosh store . I would not recommend for mobile service.

The sales lady from this company scammed me and they refuse to do anything about it and have cut off my service due to an unpaid bill that I do not owe. I told this salesperson I didn't even own a TV and she signed me up for the obnoxious cable package anyway. They also won't give the phone number to their legal department, but I can get it. I can not even fathom how much time they are wasting on a bill that I am never going to pay. I did not ask for this service and I am not going to pay for it period. read more

We uses to be with spectrum in Appleton, WI. The DVR box we had recorded 6 stations at one time and worked fairly well. Then we move 30 miles to the east to Waupaca, WI. They dropped us to a cheap box that only allows for 2 shows to be recorded at on time and you have to be watching one, so in essence only allowing 1 show to be recorded. Total b.s. . To top that off they increased what I had to pay, so I am definitely paying more for less. When I asked for the other box they said it would be available soon that was a year ago. This year they not only don't have the new box, but they decided to increase my bill by 20%. WTF Spectrum. You are definitely doing everything in your power to get rid of customers. read more

I actually worked 18 years for this company before taking another job. If you think they treated their customers bad, you should see how they treated their employees. After retiring from my most recent job, and living on a fixed income, I decided to cancel my internet service in August, and signed up for T-Mobile Home WiFi. Spectrum was charging me$85/month,T-Mobile is $40/month, less than half. And, it works great. So, after canceling Spectrum internet on August 4th, I start getting a bill in the mail for $85 from Spectrum. Finally called them today to ask what that's all about. They told me that they bill on the first of the month, and since I cancelled on the 4th, I owe them for the entire month of August. Any company that charges you for something you never got is not only dishonest, it's just plain crooked. If you want tv or internet, go somewhere else. Yes, there are lots of other options! All you have to do is some research. It's out there, folks! read more

Spectrum Oshkosh is pathetic. The problem is, they are really the only game in town. They don't have to be any good and they know it. Their customer service is non-existent, constant internet outages, spinning wheel of death on their TV app, every day - all day. No help from customer service when calls are made. They like to blame your equipment for their failures, reset this, reboot that. After a while, you just get fed up. They continue to raise their rates as their service declines. Now they are pushing their "inexpensive" mobile phone service. How long before those rates get jacked up every 6 months? read more

If there were any options I would go with anybody else. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen anywhere. Between the time spent on hold and in their waiting area, I have spent over 5 hours waiting in the last two days. they suck at cable, they suck at internet and now they are moving into cellphones which I'm sure will be a rousing success. The rate hikes are ridiculous. Moved from Appleton to Oshkosh where we had the channels we enjoyed. Here, those same channels are considered extras. My 1 year promotional period is ending and my bill is going from 103 to 155 dollars per month. Noooooo! Spectrum is now totally unaffordable. I phoned and tried to get a better buy but I wasn't offered anything different other than streaming which is very buggy, and subsequently not an option. I am choosing to cut the cord and subscribe to Sling because I have been forced into this position by Spectrum's greed. As it is I would have to hand over 1.5 days of wages before taxes to pay my cable bill. I am also looking for another internet provider. Enough already. I'm furious! read more

terrible service from spectrum so far they said they would pay cancellation cost 6 months ago we paid $300 to derict tv and $100 to att.only asked spectrum for $300.00.they sent check for $300 and we put it in our bank. our bank charged us $12 for returned item fee and they told us send it through again.well strike two spectrum another $12 fee. tonight i spoke to amberly from cincinnati still no results. good new stephan b from apple tree new york fixed my on demand troubles plus said she would look into my $300 owed to me.i have faith in stephen but the rest of these so called supervisors are worthless. spectrum management wake up now befor you lose all your loyal customers like us. read more

I have had Spectrum since October of 2017. During that time I have had at least 30 DVR problems. The most recent march/April I have had 15 DVR problems. Tech came out and replaced all connections, still had problems just called them today again. Rebooted 3 times. finally after 3 hrs tried TV again and finally came on. Cancelled tech app t. They know it,s a software problem but won,t invest more money in new software. This according to Tech and tel help. 6 months of this and I am going to look into Dish or direct TV. read more

We were promised fastest residential connection and it's terribly slow. For $80 a month this is a bust. Go elsewhere.

I could deal with the slow bandwidth-almost dial-up slow regularly-and I could even handle the terrible modem they provided but wanted to charge to replace so I opened it up and fixed it myself. But I won't deal with the constant rate hikes, customer service lies and service interruptions. read more
