So many places count on the tourist traffic and aren't interested in creating a repeat customer so it's hard (we found) to get a good meal there. Well, it's very hit or miss - and more miss than hit I'd say. This restaurant is actually right across the bridge from La Zucca which is also reviewed here (and which we ate at - it was really good)...we thought it looked nice and it was packed with lots of folks who seemed like locals (hard to tell...) Our food was reasonably priced (8 to 10 euros per dish) and simple but good! My green salad was fresh and pretty nicely sized. I had gnocchi with gorgonzola and it was fabulous! Husband had spaghetti with spices and oil and it too was cooked to perfection. Our wine was nice and the service was attentive and friendly. The dishes were simple, yet well cooked and the atmosphere was very relaxed and homey. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good, unpretentious dinner in Venice. :)

Seems like a likely pick for table side service, especially after a shopping experience. They have a nice pizza oven that is displayed for customers to see. Pizza is average considering the oven - not quite as tasty as TRUE Napolitano pizza. Pasta requested and wine requested was unavailable - not sure why. Staff came across as a bit unwelcoming. I imagine the crew had already begun tearing down for the day and we're only willing to serve pizza at the time. Sat at a table near the doorway on a COLD night did not amplify the experience for better. Every staff member or customer who entered or exited the establishment would leave the door open for COLD winter air to breeze through our table. I'm sure the food experience can be better. I'm sure some of the items are great. I'm sure the staff has better days. However, it seems as though most comments share similar experiences. Don't let our experience steer you away. If you're in the area and want pizza or pasta - this place is your choice.

But you shouldn't expect a lot from a restaurant in outlet. Portions are big enough. Service is very friendly. Inside is air conditioner.
