JFHS teachers do not respond to parents nor try to help the children be successful. If you are a child that learns well alone with no instruction needed they will do great at this school. Neither of my kids will go to the bathroom because a fight is either happening, vaping or damaging the restrooms. This school is such a disgrace to our community. My parents sent me to Liberty Christian Academy, (formerly known as Lynchburg Christian Academy)…read morewhile it was under the leadership of Jerry Falwell Sr. This was a horrible experience for me beginning with my kindergarten year in which my teacher committed suicide during the middle of the semester. My mother informed me I would have a new teacher, since my former teacher had killed herself and that she was going to burn in Hell. What a scary thing to say to a child!! I was horrified. During another grade level, another teacher made me go into a small dark closet, spanked me with a paddle and left me locked inside the closet for a very long time. She had accused me of speaking when I should not have been speaking, which was a complete lie. These days, if a teacher hits a child, then it is considered child abuse and is punishable by law! These were suppose to be "good" Christians... but actions speak louder then words in this case! Oh, and the horrible stories I heard from my parents and their friends regarding Jerry Falwell Sr. pressuring members of his Thomas Road Baptist Church to remortgage their homes in order to contribute more money to his greedy needs. I was so thankful when my family finally moved away from Lynchburg, VA and I no longer had to attend that scary abusive school!

All three lead teachers my children have had have degrees in early childhood education and have a genuine love and talent for teaching young children. I love that my kids received postcards from their teacher before the school year started, My kids look forward to school everyday and are sad when the weekend comes! It is also reasonably priced, I didn't find a less expensive quality option. Comparable to other preschools. Great environment, playground equipment, and well kept.
