After searching extensively for photographers who could document our pregnancy and newborn…read moredaughter, we purchased a Grow With Me package from Angela. We have been beyond thrilled with the results. Here's a few of the many pluses to working with Angela: 1. Responsiveness - Angela was the quickest photographer to respond and was more than willing to work around our extremely hectic schedules to shoot our maternity photos. She had a call with us to discuss what we wanted and what we were hoping to get out of our photos and suggested an amazing location for our photoshoot. 2. Client-Centered Approach - We told Angela that we were not interested in having another set of cheesy maternity photos; that just was not us. Instead, we wanted to document the moment but in a unique and artistic way. This is where Angela truly excelled. The artist in her came out and she ended up with a bit of a paparazzi theme for our maternity shoot. She climbed in and out of bushes and flowers, played around with focus, and created some truly unique and beautiful shots. This is one way that her background in photojournalism really comes out. 3. Professionalism - Angela recognizes that she is the professional and is deeply committed to getting you the best shots possible. When it comes to newborn shots, that means ensuring that your newborn is prepared to take the best photos possible. Angela gives you step by step instructions for preparing your baby and then prepares a ton of options for your set including all of the swaddles that will keep your little one calm.

I found Becky through an AI search while looking for a local photographer for our anniversary…read morephotos. She was fantastic. I'm usually very uncomfortable in front of the camera, but she was professional, friendly, and immediately made us feel comfortable. I was initially hesitant about her suggestion to do a "lifestyle" session in our home, thinking it might not be "camera-ready," but I'm so glad we listened to her. Becky has an incredible eye for angles and spots we usually overlook. She even snuck a few great photos of our cat during the session, which was a wonderful, personable touch. Even with limited natural light in some rooms, the lighting in every shot turned out excellent. She delivered a high-quality gallery in about 2.5 weeks. If you want a relaxed, professional experience in the Salt Lake area, I highly recommend Becky Green. We'd definitely choose her again!

Since then we've had her come back multiple times to document our growing family and recommend her to everyone we know! You can literally find her photos throughout every room in our house. Becky has an easy going, relaxed manner that makes it easy to be yourself and for her to capture candid moments on camera. She loves working with toddlers and is so understanding when we've needed to pause for a quick nursing session for the newborn. She has been very kind and flexible when we needed to change dates to illness and/or timing of newborns births. We love love working with Becky and are so thankful to have found her! We will treasure these pictures forever.

As someone who HATES having their picture taken, I was surprised at how comfortable I felt with Danielle behind the camera. I think our photos show our personalities/looks so well without any of the awkward cliche posing that makes me roll my eyes at other people's wedding photos. She did a great job of capturing the vintage eclectic vibe of our wedding and the beautiful snowy backdrop of our bridals. She was super helpful for the obligatory temple pictures and helped move family and friends along kindly and efficiently on a freezing day while still capturing great photos. Could not recommend more highly!!!

We hired Danielle to photograph our wedding after seeing her work on our friends' wedding. We were impressed with her work (mainly how well she managed the guests) on the day, and our initial impression was confirmed when we saw the photos come in. We booked her for both an engagement shoot and the actual wedding. Neither my wife nor I are particularly good at taking photos. We have a hard time taking ourselves seriously, and were a bit nervous about a long photo session. Danielle made us feel relaxed and freed us to have fun with the photo shoot. She gave us pointers about how to feel and look natural while she was snapping away. She has a great eye for picking out good locations and backdrops. Even locations we were a bit skeptical about came out very well. This gave us even more confidence in her abilities going into the big day. On the wedding day itself she captured all the key points, some touching and beautiful moments, positioned herself so she could capture those moments without really being noticed by us or the guests, and we like to think she had a good time while doing it. She also got a lot of photos of the place, decorations, and ambiance, which we didn't think to ask for and are very happy to have. Her editing work is detailed, subtle, and excellent. In addition to being stunning, the delivered photos were easy to work with and share. Danielle is a great talent. We're very grateful to have such wonderful photos of our big day. We highly recommend retaining Danielle for your wedding; her work is worth every penny.

I cannot say enough good things about Michaela and Josh! The tl;dr version is up first for all you…read morebusy brides. Please read on below for my gushing but super honest review. Photos: 5 stars. Unequivocally. I have gotten SO many compliments on these photos. They will capture you at your best. Your absolute best! If you're looking for photos with a lot of natural light and a "romantic" look, look no further. You will feel like you should be in a bridal magazine! Personableness: 5 stars. Absolutely wonderful humans. You will want them to be your friends by the end of this! My wedding party also fell in love with Michaela and Josh! Professionalism: 5 stars. Michaela is so so so organized and I just love how she runs her business. This is so key if you're planning your own wedding without a planner. She is honest and transparent. Payment: To be honest, I love that she had a payment system so that it auto-deducted over 8-10 months. It's so nice to not have the traditional huge lump sum payment when all the other vendors are also asking for their final payments. After our venue, Michaela and Josh (Moose Studio) were the first vendors we booked. I was in Shanghai at the time when I interviewed them, so I stayed up until midnight and they woke up early at 6am to accommodate my schedule. Huge kudos and thanks to them for being so accommodating for just a client meet and greet. We talked for an hour and it went by so quickly, and honestly after the meeting, I just knew that they were going to be our photographers. Just goes to show, I should always trust my gut. In the package that we chose, we got free engagement photos and I highly recommend getting your engagement photos done with your wedding photographer if you can! If you don't like their photos, or just don't vibe, there will still be time to change course. Thankfully, we didn't need that at all. Michaela made us feel so at ease; we have never taken professional photos before and we definitely needed to be put at ease. We were laughing throughout the whole day and truly had fun with it! Michaela sent out a cute little gift with a magazine she printed herself (with gorgeous photos and chock full of tips!) as well as some champagne gummies. The magazine included tips for what to wear during the engagement shoot which I relied on heavily the few weeks before our shoot. Our photos turned out amazing. We even used two of them for our guestbooks at the wedding (we made them into puzzles that we framed and will display proudly wherever we live!) We have gotten so many compliments on them over the years. Years? Yes, you read that right. OG Covid bride here! We were supposed to get married April 2020 but alas, the world had other plans. Michaela and Josh were so incredibly supportive throughout this whole process and made sure they were available for every postponed date. Finally, two postponements later, we JUST had our wedding. Michaela and Josh have such a fun vibe and are so positive and encouraging, and tell you exactly what to do. It was as if no time had passed, and just like old friends, we picked up where we left off! They were honestly probably just as excited as we were to get married! Even though Michaela and Josh are super nice, Josh does have a loud voice and will turn it on "stern mode" to help you corral the cats you otherwise call "wedding guests". It saved us a lot of extra waiting around when you have a bjillion other things to do. I've gotten a few sneak peeks thus far, and the photos are once again GORGEOUS. Has someone casually asked if I'm actually a supermodel? Why yes. I can't wait for the whole album to drop soon! A few of my wedding guests have even asked if they do newborn photos! Selfishly, I hope they start doing them soon! Michaela and Josh are now travel wedding photographers as well, and my god, I can't wait to see all the beautiful new locales and couples they'll be photographing!

This was nearly a raving review. We found Dezember at a wedding expo and loved their photography,…read moreplus they also offered videography and we wanted both. We had a great meeting with Randy Despain (who is also the owner). His photography impressed us and although there are better options for videography their quality was sufficient. The only issue was price. As much as we wanted to book Dezember, we couldn't justify the $4,800 asking price. Randy followed up and we told him we were unfortunately going to have to pass. He said he would try to work with us. We determined we could only afford $2,500 and accepted that Dezember was off the board. Imagine our surprise when Randy texted us and said he would half his price to work with us. Even better, he had just returned from Puerto Vallarta (our honeymoon destination) and had lots of tips for us. We were thrilled! We texted back, "You are amazing!! I will talk to Kyler [groom] tonight and get in touch with you this week to finalize booking everything". He replied, "Sounds great. We're happy to do it for you :)" As if a wedding isn't enough, we have a 1 year old and are also in the midst of a top to bottom home renovation, so spare time is nonexistent in our lives. Since everything was set and only formalities remained, we turned our attention to the other 235,171 things on our to-do list. We texted Sunday (5 days after expressing that we would be coming in to finalize) asking when we could come in and pay. We didn't hear back so we sent a follow up Tuesday morning. It turns out they close Sunday and Monday. It was mid-afternoon Tuesday when we received a response that Randy was no longer available but we could book someone else if we paid a $500 deposit RIGHT NOW. This caught us off guard, since there had never been any mention that our date was at risk. We wanted to meet the new photographer and see her work before committing. The person calling, their Office Manager Daysia(?), acted as if it was ridiculous we would want to meet her first and said she wouldn't be available until Friday. We were upset, but understanding. Even with a solid verbal commitment in place we had not placed a deposit, so it made sense. What we did not understand was not being informed that our date had been filled until we asked when we could pay. Little did we know this was just beginning. With the way things transpired we decided that we would rather not work with Dezember. We told them Friday we would not be coming in. The response? "Well okay then.... what a dummy. No WAY she found photo AND video for the price we offered her." followed quickly by "So sorry to hear that Brooke! We offered a screamin deal and would love to still get you booked" Needless to say, customers should never be conversed about in this way, whether you think they are going to find out or not. At this point, we were floored. Brooke [bride] posted the story in a Facebook group. Somebody who knew Randy saw the post and informed him of what was going on. This is where it gets good. His first course of action was asking the group admin to delete our post. The admin refused, so he gave us a call instead. It was clear he found everything rather amusing when he opened the conversation with a laugh, saying he had heard about the "situation". He then offered his side of the story: his mother was diagnosed with cancer and his family was going to Lake Powell the day of the wedding. He, being the great guy he is, decided to skip the trip if we placed a deposit by Friday. If not, he would go to Lake Powell. None of this, however, was communicated to us, so we had no idea this decision had been made. Randy was quite adamant the miscommunication wasn't his fault. He expressed repeatedly policy requires a deposit to hold a date. Had he listened he would have realized our question wasn't about policy but why we had not been told his offer would expire on Friday, as we would have paid the deposit right then and there. He told us how they all wondered the entire 3.5 days if we would book, but heard nothing and just couldn't wait anymore. Still no explanation as to why none of this was communicated. He assured Daysia was being reprimanded for the dummy text (with a hearty chuckle), and said he was going to post his side of the story on the Facebook thread. We hung up to a screenshot of his remarks to the admin who refused to delete Brooke's post: "And if you knew the entire story you'd agree that she's a dummy." Well, Randy, it's all right here. We even have the screenshots and recordings so you don't have to worry about anyone being misinformed. Bottom line: Don't pay Dezember's inflated prices and don't trust their two-faced owner Randy Despain. There are comparable or better photographers and videographers who will cover your wedding for the same price and won't act like they're turning their world upside down before deciding they would rather take a vacation to Lake Powell than work for a "discounted" rate anyway.
