Michaels - My all-time favorite restaurant in Little Italy, NY. Framing the artwork was expensive but I'm very happy with the outcome.

The staff I dealt with were very helpful and friendly if they could be found. On multiple occasions I had to walk from one end of the store to the front counter to ask for someone to help me. The store is large and has just about everything you could need for your arts and crafts projects. But again, staffing seems to be an issue here. I can't say how pricing is here as other arts stores are not nearby especially for specialty framing. Even with the "special 70% off" pricing, with some add-ons like better glass and inside decorations, my 9x12 artwork framing was $200. Not cheap. Took a few weeks to have completed. But I'm happy. This Michael's also does UPS drop off, I believe. And they have balloons. If you have some patience and can deal with some not so great or missing staff, I'd make the trip.

I didn't understand why. I said, "Okay, I'll buy it online" and waited for you to pick and pack it. The manager then jumped into the conversation and told me I'd have to wait an hour or more because she didn't have time to process the order. When I waited for the checkout, the product was in the same place I'd left it. She told me it wasn't ready yet, but then she told another employee that all that was left was to print the label because the product was there. Then she turned to me and said, "The printer was broken, if you want, you can take it without a receipt." She made me wait out of pleasure. THIS STORE IS HORRIBLE. ( THE EMPLOYERS)

This is the cutest place ever!!!…read more The staff is so friendly, and the store is so well laid out. When you come into the location, we were warmly greeted, we did come in late and we were advised that it was short time frame and may not allow time for completion. My daughter really wanted to do this excursion so we put peddle to the meddle and we powered through lol! We were able to get our cases done and they were amazing and we love them !!! We had so many options and everything we wanted or thought of was there all sorts of colors, charms and plethora of options! I think the price point was excellent for the experience and cannot wait to return! I loved it and so did my daughter !!

I've…read morebeen wanting to go but it never panned out, and I find this location to be more convenient than the center city one. I finally went with my niece, and we had the best creative, affordable day out. PARKING Free and easy, even on a Saturday. We walked in without a reservation and still got our own table. The parking lot was busy, but there is restaurants and an HMart in the plaza. Deko Deko wasn't that busy compared to what the parking made it seem to be. The parking lot is ehh, the location could be better considering it's North Philly, but it's better than center city so I'm not complaining. PRICE Everything is priced by item, not time or size, which makes budgeting simple. My jewelry box was $30 and it came with two cream colors of my choice and unlimited charms (yes, really). Full pricing is listed online, which I really appreciated. EXPERIENCE The space is bright, clean, and beginner-friendly. Ye, one of the staff, was incredibly helpful! He walked us through everything and even gave tips to keep it manageable for someone who is completely new to this. I went with a pink jewelry box and ended up spending about 3 hours on it. I loved every minute of my time. My niece made two phone cases in the same time frame. They supply everything you need and wrap up your piece for a 5-day cure time before you can use it. There's also a small shop, photo booth, and adorable photo wall you'll want to take pics at. TIPS - No reservation needed unless you're with a large group - Great for all ages! Super kid and beginner-friendly - You can bring your own item to decorate but pricing may vary - Photo ops, snacks nearby (H Mart), and an easy walk-in experience OVERALL This is such a gem if you're looking for affordable indoor fun in Philly. Whether you're trying to beat the heat and still want something to do, or go in the winter time. This is a great time! It's relaxing, well-organized, and genuinely joyful. I'm already planning to go back. There was one thing that threw me off. A woman, who wasn't a staff member, wandered in, walked around the crafting tables, and started asking questions directly to me and my niece. It felt a bit invasive, especially because she clearly wasn't part of the experience. I wish staff had stepped in to set clearer boundaries for walk-ins as I'd never just assume I can wander around a studio. For me it's a respect thing.

I was able to pick up a lot of linocut, goodies, nice paper, canvas & new carving tools . It is such a huge building, filled with goodies! I'm ready to start the new year! Thanks to you and your lovely team. Everything is so tidy and organized and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for all you do. First floor is a cornocopia of delights and then there is the basement with color splayed all over in random style. Floors painted. Well at least how I remember it. So I hunted for art supplies in Philly on a whim, and there was a sibling! And wandering around on Yelp, I've found yet another! This A&C S is the smallest of the three that I have been so lucky to visit. There is something to be said for a downstairs space to rummage and roam for treasure. While this one is one floor, it is still a worthy member of the clan. I tried to go for just one or two items, but ended up with a slew of pens and pencils. My only regret was the fact that my carry on was the limit, not the items in the store. The staff were a great balance of attentive and laissez-faire. I like being able to enjoy looking at things and touching things without feeling weird or feeling as though sales folks are going to vulture me. I felt welcomed and a part of the store, but not smothered. Also the staff was friendly with each other but did not ignore a single customer in their reach. I liked that balance.

What an amazing establishment in Philadelphia…read more The Resource Exchange is located inside of a large warehouse with maker spaces and other establishments. You can't miss the HUGE colorful mural on the outside in the parking lot, but the RE itself is on the right side. Conveniently located by a 3 bus stop as well. I was in the market for some postcards and other papercraft supplies and brought some scrapbook paper I knew I wouldn't use with me to donate as well. The staff was very nice and organized. After seeing the true breadth of all of the various materials sold at the RE, I will definitely bring more miscellaneous craft stuff with me to donate next time. Have to make room for new stuff! I was able to purchase some postcards (they were 50 cents each or 3 for $1), a container to hold some of my other materials, and a set of Dublin stickers, all for $15 flat. Cannot stress enough how AFFORDABLE stuff is. In general I would say go in to look around and not want anything too specific, especially on a busy day like a Saturday, because it was a bit crowded. But they had materials truly for all typees of crafts: fabric, knitting, sewing, painting, papercrafts, jewelry, woodworking... as well as larger materials. Really affordable and hope to get the word out about this place! There are two gender-neutral restrooms located in the lobby of the building as well as part of the shared space.

Great for date night, girls night out, family time or honestly anything!…read more I did the pottery date night class and it was so awesome! It starts out with a small cocktail hour (no alcohol, other beverages and finger foods) in the clay studio gift shop. You get some time to look some cool stuff on display and can purchase them too! The actual pottery making was around 90mins, 60mins on the wheel and about 30mins to glaze the piece. There is one main instructor and a few assistant instructors that walk around and help you out. You watch a demo first and then get hands on at making your own bowl! The instructors are really patient and if you mess up, they'll hand you another ball of clay. I screwed up many of my pieces and got super embarrassed but they'd joke and make it fun. You get to pick 2 pieces to keep out of all the ones you make during the 60mins. I ended up with 2 small succulent pots, super excited to put my plants in! The glazing is pretty simple. There are a handful of basic colors to choose from and you just paint them on. Afterwards the studio will fire the pieces and then ship then to an address you designate. We got ours a little earlier than 2weeks so it was a nice surprise! I would definitely go to another session again and may even commit to the longer semester classes...just need to free up time . If you're considering this, definitely do it!
