Uniqueness Bella Stone Surfaces

I have used this company on three projects and they have delivered each time without error. I'm…read moresurprised by the other reviews because Rafael has even expedited installations in unrealistic time frames to meet my deadlines. I'm working on a fourth project as we speak. The installers are bilingual and speak fluent English. There has never been a language barrier. I love the exotic stones. I met one of the female quarry owners who was visiting the install sites. Rafael supports women owned businesses which makes me an even bigger supporter of his company. They may take a couple of days to call back but that comes with the growth of a new business with multiple locations - a good problem to have

Buyer BEWARE. Two weeks turns into four MONTHS!…read moreI was urged to use this place to get my bathroom renovation supplies, and at first I was impressed with the quality samples that were in the showroom, and quickly and easily determined the tile for floor, walls, and sink slab I wanted. The employee then mentioned they were almost a "one-stop-shop", and that I could get my vanity from Uniqueness, too, and that I could take delivery MUCH faster than if I ordered from any other place. I was sold. This was the first part of November. I was promised an estimate the next day, as my contractor had a limited window, and wanted to do my bath asap. A week later, STILL no estimate, even after numerous excuses that I'd have the estimate "the next day" for pry five days. When I finally got my estimate, it was for incorrect size vanity. Took two MORE days to get estimate, and then, they didn't include the price for vanity legs. At this point, Uniqueness told me they couldn't order until I signed and returned estimate with check for materials. This was on a Friday. They are supposed to be open on Saturday, I took check.....business was CLOSED. Took check Monday morning. Found out end of that week, that nothing had been ordered. After I got confirmation that materials were ordered, Uniqueness stated they needed to measure my room to assure their estimate was accurate. (Cart before the horse, maybe??). They came out, measured, and said everything was accurate. (Whew!).....(not). The following Saturday, when they were to pick up materials, Uniqueness called contractor and said measurements were wrong, and they needed more tile. UGH! ....we are now into DECEMBER. No estimate on delivery of vanity or slab. I reminded uniqueness that my vanity was due and wanted to confirm it had legs, as that wasn't on estimate. OOPS! it was ordered WITHOUT legs. Change means more time. Things had gotten quite frustrating for contractors and me, and I asked for date for delivery of EVERYTHING. Uniqueness said I sounded "angry" in my email and they didn't understand WHY. The week of Christmas, Uniqueness told us the slab would be cut "sometime in January", as they hadn't yet ordered, and the mill was closed for the rest of the year. I said, well, cancel the slab, I'll purchase that elsewhere (I had already paid for it). Contractor showed up at Uniqueness to pick up everything else to START my wee half bath Reno, and Uniqueness said they would not release the items, as I hadn't paid, and they didn't trust me. WHAT? I had paid in full, and had cashed check to prove! When contractor tried to install tile, turns out there was NOT ENOUGH floor tile, and it had to be ordered from NYC, as it was from Milan, supposedly, and not available anywhere else. We were able to grab the floor sample and use that, but JEESH! At the end of the project (completed mid-January), we had 300% surplus of wall tile, which, according to Uniqueness was not returnable (apparently, the wall tile had gotten wet while stored at uniqueness, and contractor had to take out of cases to dry...). Owner emailed and said he wanted to "make things right" (he had apparently been out of the country and left the store to other employees to run)...after the original email, I heard nothing. I was stuck with a plethora of excess wall tile, a sink slab that I never was refunded for, and a bad taste in my mouth. OH, and the Uniqueness people (not the owner) have been badmouthing me to the contractor AND others. I never want to bad-mouth a company, but this experience has TOTALLY SUCKED, and I simply could not recommend this business to anyone. In fact, we are getting ready to go through more home renovations, including Kitchen and master bath, but we will use another local stone supplier for those, but we WILL use the same contractor. I don't believe I would've survived this renovation without them! Please, BEWARE working with this specific Uniqueness (the other locations seem to have competent people), unless you SPECIFICALLY work with the owner, Rafael, and then, bone up on your Reno deets before you do.

From the beginning to the end of the project, they kept me informed and worked around the other construction. Every single person I encountered were friendly, helpful and courteous. The young men that came to install actually vacuumed my kitchen floor when they completed the counters and were extremely polite. I would def recommend this company and my counter tops are beautiful!

When placing the order, I was told it would be ready within 2 weeks. At 2 weeks, I called and was told it would be another 2 weeks. (They didn't call me to let me know of any delays). Once again, I called them to find out the status, and once again, the countertops weren't there. Now, we're at 4 weeks for a 2 week order. My client is being patient, but they've got a torn apart kitchen. They're not exactly happy about this delay. We've already made a deposit to this company for half of the amount of the cost. They've given no reason for these delays. Once again, another 2 weeks goes by with constant phone calls by myself to them. Absolutely no communication FROM them. Finally, the counters are ready. BUT, no backsplashes yet....ARE YOU SERIOUS?????? Fine, at least the customer can use his kitchen. During this time, I have asked several times to speak to the owner/boss/manager and have been given several reasons of why I'm unable to, not in, fishing, etc. When going to pick up the counters, they weren't even all cut correctly. I could go on, but the long and short...A few days later, we finally got the backsplashes too. My customer had to wait a frustrating 2 months to get his counters finished and I have YET to hear back from this company boss. Oh, but the receptionist did say he approved $50 off the total bill........Yes, that number you see is the correct number of 0's. $50. He cost me about $400, plus the time, aggravation, and reputation, but he'll offer a whopping $50 for my time and the gas it cost me to make multiple trips to pick up the countertops. What a stand up guy.........NOT
