I stopped by for an inexpensive cooler to carry some seafood home. They had the perfect cooler for only $5. The clerk was helpful and friendly. I looked at the surf supplies and another clerk immediately asked if I needed assistance. The fishing gear is unbelievable. And kayaks, they carry everything. I could have spent all day in there. They rent surf boards, paddle boards, bikes and sell fishing licenses and can even set up fishing charters. They are locally owned. They offer free parking. I'll be back on my next visit to Surf City.

There were 6 of us aged 22 to 80+ and we could not have been more pleased with our time on the boat with Captain Ashley. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, the dolphins were kind enough to jump around in the ocean while we watched, birds swooped here and there, and we stopped on an island for a little beach/sand time before heading back to the marina. Pictured here is my mom who has probably never been on a boat smaller than a cruise liner who had the time of her life. Hopefully we'll get her back out when cozy beanies aren't required and she can frolic on an island and swim in the ocean with her grandkids and great grandkids. Thank you, Drifter. We'll be back!

The complex consists of a bait/fishing shop, gift shop and small grill serving breakfast sandwiches and hot dogs and the pier. The staff in the shop are friendly and prices to rent a fishing pole are reasonable, but you need to bring your own gear. It costs only $12 to rent a pole and fish for 24 hours and the pier is open 24/7. I walked out on the pier and was mesmerized watching the people with their poles. I saw a ray and blue pulled in and released. The people were friendly in a Southern charm way. The views from the pier are lovely. I would like to return for sunset photos. The pier has fish cleaning stations and benches to sit. A lot of birds hang out hoping for some fish. Worth a visit if you love the ocean and fishing.

She was very good; she is talented and her selections were appropriate but TOO, TOO LOUD. The four of us could not hear each other talk (or, yell). It is a small boat; any amp at all is too much. I did (discreetly) mention something to one of our tour guides about asking her to decrease her volume. It was completely IGNORED. We booked this cruise because there was to be "entertainment" perhaps that was a poor choice. Value/fee was good - should not be any more.

When a few of our crew were feeling a little seasick from the choppy waters, they had ginger ale and saltines on hand, as well as peanut M&Ms for the kids. Work rented out the tiki charter for a co-workers bonding experience on a Sunday afternoon and it couldn't have been more fun. We had free control of the AUX cord with great range of volume. They had drinks on board and we were able to bring on our favorite beers, seltzers, waters, and snacks. The couple working the charter were super personable, funny, and sweet. They had a wide range of boat knowledge and made us feel safe while having a blast. The tiki charter can comfortably fit, I'd say, about 6-8 guests. There's barstools to sit on and a sturdy platform to walk around on while it slowly cruises through the waterways. Depending on the day, tide, weather, and your preferences, they'll take you around the intracoastal waterways, past oyster piles, millionaire world traveler boats, under bridges, and out to Palm Tree Island. At the island they anchored and lets us jump out and swim. It was ridiculously warm, the water was beautifully clear, and the tide was calm enough we could splash around and not drift away. The staff dealt patiently with our multiple photo shoots and even offered to take group shots a couple times. They want you to have the most relaxing, fun, enjoyable experience out on the tiki and it definitely showed. The cruise lasted about 2+ hours and I believe the cost was a flat $400 for the group. They have you sign waivers in advance online and meet you under the bridge by the marina before boarding. It's a very fun experience with a professional crew that knows a ton about the area and can treat you a time you won't forget. I hope to get the chance to take my friends out on the tiki soon!

The captain said that would hold my reservation but we would need to pay in cash. He told me the boat was behind the Assembly Building. He said we had to pay in cash but the credit card would guarantee we would have six spots on the boat! We also had to be there half hour before sailing. Sailing was at 9:00. We were there at 8:30 with a lot of other folks. There was a group of six people that came in about 8:50 that were from Kentucky! After going over safety instructions the Captain told everyone to show their tickets and board. That was the first we heard of needing a ticket. He never told me over the phone we needed tickets. I went up to him and asked him where we get our tickets and he asked my name. I told him and he said, "I sold your tickets". I was shocked! On my way back to the house he texted me and said he was sorry. Now if he had my phone number why didn't he have the courtesy to call me before he "sold" my tickets? My grandchildren had looked forward to this all week and by selling our tickets he ruined our day! I would never go on this fishing boat!! I would not recommend them at all!!

The half day fishing trip was $60 a person and leaves at 9 and comes back at 2. Their website actually says its $70 but we paid $60. Warning: they don't take credit cards! But they took my husband and brother in laws driver license as "collateral" that they would find an ATM on our return and pay when the trip was over, which we did. We went out for about an hour and a half on a beautiful boat ride with about 50 people on board. There is a boat captain, two mates and a guy running the galley kitchen. They were all very nice and accommodating. You didn't have to take anything with you fishing and they would even take your fish off and bait your hook if needed. We stopped at three different holes before heading back. Our party of 4 caught 9 good size fish that fed our family of 7 dinner that night. Actually 3 of us caught 9 keepers, my poor sister was pretty sea sick most of the trip. If you're prone to sea sickness either take a lot of Dramamine or maybe sit this one out. Overall it was a great trip. Very nice crew. Very professional.
