This was an amazing experience indeed!! I walked in and was immediately greeted by Sidney, she was full of life and very knowledgable. She Immediately went over the specials after finding out it was my first time here and proceeded to lead me through the menu. I was so comfortable and pleased I let her make the decision for me, and wow it was perfect. Ok. Let's be honest. The food was amazing. Like really. I did like it. However, coupled with the service and the final one on one experience with an employee who literally gave me whatever ruined everything for me. The order was very late and they knew it. Four orders after me went out, and only after the cashier inquired did they start working on my order. When Miss rude came out and handed me my order, I handed her the coupon they gave me and state, I'm probably not coming back. "Whatever" was the response. So let's be real since they want to get real. Yes the food is good. But it's clear it's not authentic. But still good. Staff.... I would say authentic as to the cartels in Mexico. Don't care. There was a HORRIBLE, funky, rotten egg smell! It was so disappointing. Thank goodness there were seats outside. Had dinner at this restaurant with family. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. The food was fresh and service was fast. They have a lot of sauces on a bar. I had something called tostados which is nothing more than cheese, sauce lettuce, chicken on a chip. It's probably better as a burrito which was an option. You have to pay $2.50 more to make an item a meal which is a drink, rice, and sauce. Kids meal $5 and doesn't offer much chips and taco or other item. Chips generally come with most meals at a typical Mexican restaurant but not here. My opinion is the serving size vs cost is not a good value. read more

Placed my order using the mobile app. Although it was ready when I arrived it wasn't until I got it back home that I discovered many things wrong. I don't expect it to be steaming hot since I didn't stay to dine at the restaurant but the food wasn't even warm. This is a significant food safety concern. To make things worse my order was incomplete and missing two things. Unfortunately food quality did nothing to help matters as the taste was boring and portion size was not worth the cost (I ordered enchiladas). Lesson learned. If you want good food go find a taco truck where someone cares about the food they're serving. read more

Yuck. This place was a let down. My taco came with cubed steak that looked similar to dog food and there was barely any meat. Not sure how you can serve less meat on your taco than Taco Bell....I was beyond disappointed. The ONLY thing that was ok was the chips and Queso. read more

When I went in to counter to inquire about order, before I could even tell her name on order she said in very rude tone it would be at least another 1 1/2 hours. She then proceeded to just walk away . I then had to explain again to the next person who did not say anything, just walked away. Then had manager come up and had to explain my scenario all over again. Ok, so I guess when they said there was an issue last time, they were full of it, and just didnt make my order until I arrived. This time when we ordered we put in the credit card. The done time was supposed to be 7:30. When I arrived at 7:28, the order was still on the printer. Figured it printed more than one copy, but it wasn't even started yet. I asked to change my side, but was told the food was almost done so I said don't worry about it. Little did I know I would be sitting there until 7:50. We often stop at the Tijuana Flats in Winter Haven. We typically are very happy with our meal. Recently we noticed that the service has changed. We stopped at this location on Sunday Feb. 18, 2018 . We both ordered the Burrito. The amount of food was completely off. My husband's burrito was the normal size that is usually served and my portion was about 1/3 smaller. My chips that came with the burrito were much less than the other portion as well. I didn't say anything about the discrepancy because I just wanted to eat and go home. I suggest to those working in the kitchen to get their proportions equal and consistent. read more

We stopped in after a long day at Lego Land. Sarah introduced us to the menu and showed us around. First time guests get free chips and salsa. Plus kids eat free with a Lego Land ticket if you buy an adult entree. It was also Happy Hour! The food was great and it came out fast. They have about 20 salsas you can try. Everything was going fine until they forgot the extra shells I ordered for my 8 year olds bowl. They actually brought me a tab for $1.38 for the shells, because they forgot to ring it up when I ordered. They didn't wait to the end of my meal, but rather interrupted right in the middle. I under stand that this is a lower level casual dining establishment, but they don't even grasp simple concepts in hospitality. I had spend $48 and they charged me $1.38 for their mistake. No matter the Tijuana Flats, the food is consistently good. At this particular visit it was Taco Tuesdaze! So hubby and I enjoy two tacos, chips and a beverage for $5.49. This location also offered free kids meals with a same-day LEGOLAND ticket. It was the server who told us about the deal.
