In fact every third shop on Campbell Pde seems to at least stock swimwear if not a specialty beach gear shop. Bikini Island has a really good range, with tops and bottoms sold separately- for those of us who don't fit the pre-set size standards imposed by swimwear designers or who like to mix & match. The clearance store stocks some of my favourite swimwear designers (Zimmerman, Tigerlily etc) as well as Bikini Island's own label which is decent and pretty cheap! If you end up at the beach without swimmers it's not going to break your wallet to pop in here and pick up a new costume and they also stock towels, goggles - most things you'd require for a day frolicking on Bondi Beach.

Your sixteen year old cousin probably wouldn't shop at The Big Swim; but that's a good thing. It offers slightly more expensive - and much more beautiful - items from the giants in Australian swimwear. Seafolly, Jets and an assortment of other classy brands can be found here. There's no two ways about it - The Big Swim is expensive, particularly when examined on the amount of fabric to cost ratio. However, it's also of a good quality. I rarely find that my swimwear from here has gone pilly, stretched before its time or faded. I bought a summer dress here that reminds me of my trip to australia whenever I wear it. they also have a few gift ideas that kind of scream I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GET YOU, MOM...stuff like soaps, candles, picture frames, house decorations... Cozzie Shack is actually an online business too - once you've tried the sizing in store (here or Bondi) you could probably supplement or replace that way, but I don't think I'd be that confident of swim fashion without and initial face-to-face. As well as the teen/adult range, the store has a sizeable collection of suits for small children (boys as well as girls) and even some for that dreadful hard-to-fit stage (10-14 yrs). Biird has a great store configuration with the right hand side of the shop being fashion mostly for the infant - toddler girls. The boys clothing is accessed to the back of this section. To the back of the shop behind the cash register is the womens clothing. Prams and strollers can be easily pushed around in each section. This is one of the things I love about Biird is the product placement is clearly defined not jumbled together like your kid has just hurricaned through the shop and that one is able to wander around easily. Clovelly Road is a very busy street right up until the second roundabout where the 2nd block of shops are. It has some of the best bakeries, providores and of course Green Mango, Pasta Zu and Clodeli which are very popular eateries. Be savvy and use one of the side streets to park that has unlimited parking. For my little diva I purchase a couple of transeasonal pieces including a green Diesel layered dress and a beautiful cotton number from the brand Ouch. Biird also stocks Fred Bare, Gaia, Pure Baby Organic, Love Luck shoes and Baby Havaania's. The staff are incredibly helpful and having children of their own I trust their wisdom in their suggestions.

They stock Seafolly, Roxy, Watersun, Sunseeker and of course, Speedo. And bikini fans will be happy to know they sell separates, with tops ranging from A to F cups and bottoms from size 8 - 24.
