I visited weeks ago to make a purchase for Christmas. Initially things went well. I was promptly greeted, offered a bottled water and shown the items I wanted via a tablet (they weren't in stock in the store). I was initially disappointed that the items weren't in stock but the associate said that they were available at other locations and that she was placing the order for me. I handed over my credit card and there is when my review went from a five to a zero. I was charged for the bracelet and an ornament and left the store with my receipt. Weeks went by and I didn't receive a call so yesterday I call to check the status of my order. Now T&CO says that despite paying for the items they are on back order and I still haven't been refunded for the order. I think the sales associate wanted a commission for an order and can't believe how shady it was that I was charged for items that apparently were never available to begin with. Still no resolution for my order. Absolutely unacceptable. My advice to others is not to pay for anything that they aren't wrapping and handing to you in the store. read more

Nice way to go I think now new sales people are younger and less stress to make commission. I been going there a lot had to clean a lot of jewelry so you can only do 5 items at a time. One of my rings had to be sent to New York to have it made smaller. $70.00 service charge not bad. I did buy a new peace for myself to match my new bracelet am happy for it but I had to have my bracelet cleaned twice since I took it swim the chlorine ruined it big time so now I take my jewelry off when I go swimming they also told me to take it off to bath or shower. Even when the store is crowed in the holiday season, it is a very short wait for assistance. This store makes you stand in line for assistance, and they move promptly. The store is always clean and shiny, and they have a big variety of jewelry. Returns and exchanges are easy and hassle free. I can say that Tiffany's jewelry is expensive and beautiful, but many pieces lack quality and will need repairs. Don't let the price fool you. The quality isn't always there. There service department charges high repair fees, so you may want to shop around for cheaper repairs at local jewelry stores. I've had several items repaired by them. read more

Tiffany and Co in Oak Brook is one of my favorite places to browse, wish, and take pics of items to apply to my vision board. On the day of the visit, I was exchanging a bracelet for a bigger size, and although the lines were long they moved relatively fast. While often visiting this location, I have always found the store to be clean, sparkly, lively, well-lit with comfortable space for purchasing. Today was a little different, customers were space invading while trying to see items. Nevertheless, it is always a treat to visit the store with the pretty blue box. read more

They will make impossible possible so it is enough for me. Tiffany is a very special brand for me. And I am happy that I can have them on service. From small cute presents for any occasion, for you baby or even a pet, they have it all. To get our silver jewelry cleaned it took 7 days instead of doing it while we waited. No one acknowledged us when we picked it up. Employees standing around us and we waited 15 minutes in line to pick it up. We were not given a receipt and that was an issue too. Feel like they think they are elite and they are not. There was a young couple looking around and the men was asking about a ring and he was guessing the price and estimated a lower cost and the lady working there gave him attitude and looked down on him like he doesn't belong. Everyone complaining about prices are ridiculous and clearly misinformed. Yes, T&C has become much more mainstream in recent years, so of course prices will rise and service might decline; that's what businesses do, it really shouldn't be a surprise. Anyways, this is the only T&C location I've ever been to so I can't compare it to others, but I like this location regardless. If you plan on making a purchase here, be sure to come in during the week, preferrably during the day when most others are working; anytime near the holidays (mother's day, Valentine's day, Christmas) and you'll be waiting in a 40 minute line before you can receive any assistance. Yet each time I've been here I've received great service. As a male, I really had no idea what to look for or where to start. But the advice and suggestions I received definitely helped narrow down the choices. I used to come here (TOO) often years ago and have always been satisfied which my purchase (until the breakups came and I'd get them throw back at my face). All of the silver and diamonds are really nice. They wrap and box everything for you, thankfully, because God knows I can't tie those bows. Overally a fine store. It's kept very clean and organized. The service has been fine for me, contrary to what most others are saying. The handling of COVID is horrible in Oakbrook. This is not the first day of the pandemic - you should have figured this out by now. Oakbrook mall in general is not doing a very good job, but Tiffany in particular is horrible, especially when you've been standing in 98-degree sun for over an hour, are first in line, and when the doors finally open you don't get in because you're standing to the left of the door when you should be standing to the right. When looking around for jewelry, I've gone to this staple store quite a few, but honestly I do not their selection is a "good" as it once used to be. The staff thus far is fairly accommodating, but the overall quality of the jewelry is more of a 'name brand' push than anything. Granted yes, the presentation is amazing, and their selection is pretty decent. I just do not believe the prices they charge match up to the quality they've delivered in the recent years. I must have not look like I had money to spend when I went to Tiffany's after work yesterday because I was never greeted. In fact, I took a stroll around the store and found the necklace that I wanted to buy and then just stood there, looking around and trying to make eye contact with the salespeople who weren't doing anything but chatting with one another. Mind you, if I had not come into the store with a purpose (to buy a little wedding present from me to my bestie who's tying the knot in a little over a week), I would have gotten frustrated pretty quickly and left with my money. Luckily, just as I started having visions of grabbing the first heavy object I could find and helping myself to the necklace, Graham ("sales professional," as his business concisely card states) momentarily made eye contact with me (or took pity on me - or realized my persistence), finished up what he was doing, and sauntered over to me. Oh yes, he sauntered. He asked me if I had been helped and apologized, fairly sincerely, when I told him I had not. I have to say that this gentleman made me feel like a million bucks (well maybe like a hundred thousand bucks). I showed him which necklace I was interested in, and he complimented my choice and asked me which length I preferred. I felt like he was genuinely engaged in our chitchat as he packaged my purchase and rang me up, which I appreciated very much. I know that Tiffany's has a reputation for being hoity toity, but for a store whose jewelry adorns the neck and/or wrist of every other teenage girl out there, they should realize that every customer is a potential sale, and every customer deserves to be treated as Graham treated me. I'm sure I'll be in again to purchase another piece of jewelry for another special occasion, but I'm hoping that I'm given more than a cold shoulder. read more

Ever since the ghetto-fabulous movement where Tiffany has become available to the masses, and getting the blue box somehow lost its allure, quality and service have gone down the toilet. Last year my husband bought me a lovely leather journal. Well, I went through all of the pages in the spiral notebook enclosed. I measured the journal and looked everywhere for a replacement. (Since I figured if I could find it elsewhere, I'd save a ton of cash.) No luck, it's an odd size. I searched Levenger, Crane and Company, Papyrus, OfficeMax, Office Depot, Franklin Covey, FiloFax, etc. I called Tiffany to see if they sell replacements. The woman I spoke to said "nope". I asked where she suggests I go to find one, or what options I have. She had nothing to offer, except "looks like you have to buy a new journal." Um, I have to buy another $110 journal to replace some $5 paper? "Looks like it." I asked to speak to a manager. She pretty much told me the same thing, except a little more politely. She told me to go to "any stationer" for a replacement. I told her where I've looked, and she said she didn't know. I'm very disappointed. I always thought Tiffany had great service, but this is the icing on the cake for me. read more

I've been in this location 3 times in the last 2 years to buy gifts for myself. Yes, I'm that person that buys themselves birthday and "I just got a stellar tax return" gifts. Each time, they had the item I had wanted and I was in and out quickly. I'd recommend visiting on weekdays though. There are always plenty of salespeople around, but they are all occupied on the weekend so you will have to wait. I used to think Tiffany's was elitist. But they really do have affordable gifts. Think graduation for a daughter, niece or sister. Or a gift for your bride. Maybe for a girlfriend, but only if she didn't drop hints like bombs. All of the items I've bought were in the $125-150 range and I received great service. Unlike some stores, they sincerely want to help you. I like to save up and treat myself to a little piece of their sterling silver jewelry every once in awhile. DO NOT go in there around the big jewelry holidays (mothers day, Chistmas, Valentines Day) unless you are prepared to stand in line behind the ropes to wait for a sales person. I recently had a problem where I went in and purchased a ring that was not in stock. They had another store ship it to me which was fine except they sent me the wrong shaped stone. I called the general Tiffany customer service number and the woman actually wanted ME to pay to return it and wait for reimbursement! What? I took it back to the Oak Brook store and explained to the sales woman what happened. I felt awkward walking into Tiffany&Co with a stroller and a crying baby but was pleasantly greeted by a sales person. I explained I received a Tiffany charm for Mother's Day and needed it attached to my bracelet. She wished me a happy Mother's Day and escorted me to customer service. The gentleman quickly wrote up the order and told me the bracelet would be sent out to New York. I expected this to be pretty pricey and thought maybe I made a mistake bringing it to Tiffanys. But when I asked the fee he said no fee! And it's going to be shipped directly to my house when it's finished. I Couldn't be happier. An aside- A few months ago took a Tiffany charm to a jewelry store in the mall- they charged me 50.00 to attach the charm and it was COMPLETELY scratched by the time I got it back. It took Three trips to the store and a call to corporate to get it fixed. And their idea of fixing it was polishing the charm until it looked slightly better. In the past, at a different Tiffany's location, I had taken back a piece of jewelry which was too large for me and they shipped it to New York to shorten it, then shipped it back, so I thought the same situation would apply here. I was told that was not the case and I was past the 30 day return/exchange policy BUT Tanya went above and beyond to satisfy me. She switched out the medium for a small and I left happy! Yes it's overpriced and you are buying a name, it's Tiffany's dummy!!! Before I discuss why it's worth the cost and my general feelings bout the store, know that THE BEST value are their wine glasses if you are looking for a gift. They are relatively inexpensive and have Tiffany & Co. etched on their base. Guests always notice and regularly comment on how classy it is to be served in Tiffany stemware. I've purchased gifts and jewelry from here for ages. The service is on par with other Tiffany stores. The staff will go out of their way to assist if you are wearing decent clothes but don't be surprised if they are a little cold if you are standing in the expensive part of the store wearing flip flops and your best Dale Earnhardt t-shirt with the sleeves cut off. This isn't being pretentious, they are just playing the odds that you are a real buyer ... just like the Sephora salespeople don't pay too much attention to guys in the mascara aisle. Yes, the 1ct diamonds they sell are twice the price that you can find at the Ultra Diamond Outlet but you are paying for the quality and the designer, like a pair of 7 jeans versus Wal-Mart Levis. The Tiffany diamond is absolutely flawless and beautiful. The back room features the less expensive silver and gifts. I regularly purchase silver spoons as baby gifts and their luggage tags are cute baubles that would mean very to the recipient were it not for the fact they come in the little blue box. The nightmare came from the obnoxious ghetto crew in front of me. They chastised everyone who wasn't black, openly. They commented that I need to speak English in America, while I was having a private phone call with my mother no less. They told me I had white privilege (I'm a minority myself). Waited until they started cleaning jewellery again. Made my appointment and had to wait a month to drop off 5 pieces of jewellery. Had to wait another 5 days then come back and pick up the jewellery. Find out they are not cleaning up to Tiffany standards. They are hand polishing, just as I do at home. They are not using the machine anymore but will gladly send a piece to New York for $35.00. I was looking for a Christmas gift for my wife but like a typical guy I had no clue what I wanted to get her. My sales person didn't rush me even though they were fairly busy, she took plenty of time showing me different necklaces and bracelets until I found something I thought she would love. I ended up buying a beautiful platinum necklace with a diamond and platinum pendant. I also had to pick up another gift from the sterling silver department in the back of the store which had a line a mile long that wrapped around the entire store but my salesperson in the fine jewelry area walked me right over to the front of the sterling department line which probably saved me literally an hour. If they are out of stock, will have the item shipped to you. How to avoid the long lines at Christmas time: Call the store early in the morning and tell them what you would like to buy. They will charge it to your credit card and have it wrapped and waiting for you when you arrive. When you arrive at the store, forget waiting in line and go to the customer pick-up area.
