This is the size of an average American pet store, but it's huge for .nl standards. They manage to…read morecram in diverse products for all sorts of animals - dogs, cats, bunnies, mice, birds, fish, reptiles, iguanas, and snakes. Oh and they sell all of these animals as well. I don't know of anywhere else in this country you can buy a boa constrictor *and* a large colorful parrot under one roof.
Their aquarium and fish selection is amazing. Anything you could want from a small desktop aquarium to a huge room filling aquarium, or giant koi pond, is sold here. Their fish are all healthy and the water quality is amazing, so they show great care for the fish and plants they sell here.
They have a whole room just for dog beds! And they have half the place dedicated to dogs and cats, so if there's anything you need for your dog or cat, it is probably sold here.
There is also a vet clinic on site, with walk-in hours on Mondays (I think) without an appointment. Otherwise you need to call ahead to get an open time slot.
The staff is friendly and leaves you alone to wander around the store as you like. Their fish department is super busy though, so if you need service there you have to tackle one of the staff or wait in line at the counter with people waiting the check out, and then ask the staff member to help you.
With their low prices and large selection, this place is definitely worth the drive from Amsterdam!
