Man, another blast from the past. I used to go to Hobbes and Lands all the time on the off chance…read morethey still had a stock of really old booster packs from some old set of Magic the Gathering. Often, they didn't understand the value of these booster packs since some of them contained old never reprinted cards. Anyway, I like this store because they sell a lot of really cool and neat stuff that you won't find anywhere else. Stuff like moving planetariums, a skeleton, or a kid's chemistry set. Fancy puzzles and other Lego like products abound this place. That said, the biggest issue I find with this store is that a vast majority of their products are products that basically only rich people could afford. I don't blame them though, most if not all there stuff are imported from abroad so I'm not surprised.

As a kid I loved playing with all the interactive puzzle games and board games on display and browsing all the cool toys they were selling. Nowadays I go in there whenever I want to buy a unique birthday or Christmas present for one of my little cousins. They have a wide variety of innovative board games for all ages, things for your pets, baby and toddler playthings, and collectible items such as figurines. They also have educational toys and knick-knacks for the science or geography loving kids (or kids inside!) as well as books, novelty items and uncommon arts and crafts.

A visit to Greenhills will never be complete without going to Regina Gift Shop…read more When I was a kid my parents would remind me that it's a gift shop meaning I went in to buy gifts for other people. I believed that lie until I was about ten. I guess that was to prevent me from buying all the awesome goodies this shop has to offer. Sorry, parents. I'm buying gifts for myself. They have everything! And I really mean everything. They have all my childhood candies next to a stand of plastic balloons. You know, those little tubes which you squeeze until this substance comes out which you blow into with the use of a little stick. There's a shelf with plates, spoons and forks and knives, cups and lunchboxes. And in the center, you'll find notebooks, stickers, pens, art materials, cellphone cases and the occasional sex toy. Speaking of toys, they do have toys for babies and children and adults who collect toys. Not into those things? They have bags, clothes and hats too. I remember being dragged here by my mom whenever I needed a costume for school. "You're only going to wear it once anyway. But it at Regina," she'd say. Don't get me wrong, their clothes don't break after one use. They have cool socks and hats. And sometimes if you're lucky, they have sell Christmas stockings. I can't remember everything they sell at this shop. So it would be great if you have a look for yourself. You won't be disappointed and you'll leave with lots of loot.

Another toy shop I like going to is Toys R Us…read more I visited the shop today to see if they had any new Mr. or Mrs. Potato Heads. They didn't have any new ones, but they did have the crazy looking Mrs. Potato Head. They also had the Marvel Potato Heads. When I saw the Marvel Potato Heads, I thought about looking through the Marvel toy brand. It was interesting to see that Play-Doh has like a Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and other Marvel characters. I'm not sure what the toys does, but I wanted to get it for the simple reason that it's Marvel. Another new Marvel toy they have is this rubber figure of Iron Man, Captain America and Spiderman. They toy doesn't really do anything. It's not a key-chain and you can't really play with it, but the kids in the store thought it was amazing. I hope they'll have the whole Avengers team next time including the new members.

Other parents may find the notorious "DisneyCollectorBR" and "FunToyzCollector" of YouTube familiar, and to blame, for this craze. Toys R Us really is something, though. I remember my visits to LA being incomplete until I picked up a Super Soaker or toy laboratory set from Toys R Us. Now, the Philippines has this haven of happiness.
