I have attended the stadium for sectionals and CIF Sports swimming events. There is an adjacent parking lot and there's also a structure for parking which makes it easy. There is covered Stadium style seating. They also have a great sound system and scoreboards. This is one of the better aquatic centers that I have been to and always enjoy coming.

Rules said no high-back chairs, umbrellas, etc. So I left my gear at home. I get there, and not only do folk have high-backed chairs and umbrellas, but canopies. Yes, canopies! Well, I had heard that the year prior, some people fell out from heat stroke. But point being, just have no rules for anybody, then we'll make it work. My friend said, "Pay for VIP." Pay an extra $300 for bathroom rights (needed ladies!), and a chair under a canopy. I'd just rather buy a cruise ticket and play my iPod. Knowing this, what drew me out? Jill Scott and Charlie Wilson. But no more! Live and learn.

Prices are cheaper at 25 dollars online and can easily spend an hour or two here. They blast festive music that really created a nice atmosphere. For the price I'd actually say this was worth the time and price to grab some good pictures. You can take pictures with Santa Claus for $20 for three minutes of unlimited photos. Not really worth it but kinda thought it was funny haha. Parking is easily findable using the Irwindale Speedway address and everything was pretty straight forward. *** 2026 Season - April 4, 2026 - May 17, 2026 ***…read more The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire is an annual event that originally started in 1963 and has since moved to its current location at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in Irwindale, California. Our party saw ads for the faire on social media and decided to check it out. [Parking]: The faire highly recommends entering the recreation area via the 210 exit off Irwindale Ave (#38) rather than following GPS and exiting from the 605. There is a $15 entry fee to enter the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area (advance purchase not required). There is no street parking here so don't even bother trying. There is also an additional $30 fee for a VIP parking pass (so $15 entry fee + $30 VIP parking) and VIP parking is limited to 300 vehicles each Faire day & requires advance online purchase. If you plan to arrive after 11 AM, then I highly recommend getting a VIP parking pass to avoid the long traffic lines for general parking as the main Jousting Tournament starts at 12 PM. Our party arrived at 9:15 AM and there was already waiting lines to get into the general parking lot, but our party had no issue with general parking as the staff guided the line of cars and my car ended up parked pretty close to the faire entrance. [Ticket]: $53 for adults. Members of the military with valid IDs, seniors age 62+, and AAA members receive $5 off tickets purchased at the box office. Doors open at 10 AM. The faire also offers the Pub Crawl show that departs at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM. Please note that the Pub Crawl sells out quickly and does not include admission to The Renaissance Pleasure Faire (an additional $90 per person). [Entering & amenities]: There is a basic security check before entering the fairgrounds. One factory-sealed water bottle is allowed per person. No pets are allowed at the faire except service animals. Strollers and wagons of all sizes are welcome. There are no lockers or bag check services at the faire. Almost all restrooms are porta-potties. [Costumes]: Approximately 75% of visitors were already wearing costumes, but it is not mandatory. There is a costume rental shop located just inside the front gates of the faire with adult-sized costumes ranging from $18 - $65 (average price around $39). [What to expect]: Few activities and foods our party wanted to try included watching a Jousting Tournament and eating a chimney cake. There were approximately 125 vendors and the faire was fairly easy to navigate since visitors mainly follow one route. Most entertainment shows start at 11 AM and there are three time slots for the jousting show: 12 PM, 2 PM, and 5 PM. There are also many fairground games like archery + axe throwing + human-powered rides, but unfortunately they cost extra money. Also feel free to interact with the townspeople to make this whole experience more immersive. [Food]: Top highlighted items include turkey legs, chimney cake, and steak on a stake. Our party had a beef chimney cake for $18 (cash only) and honestly it was pretty mediocre. [Tips]: Bring an umbrella or wear plenty of sunscreen as the weather can get pretty hot and there are not many shaded areas. Also bring cash as vendors selling alcohol and many other art & craft vendors only accept cash. Also don't wear shoes you don't want to get dirty because my sneakers were covered in dirt after the visit. Most importantly come early before the doors open to avoid the crowds after 12 PM. [Conclusion]: Personally this is a one-and-done medieval-era experience.

There's something for everyone: a giant pumpkin patch, gorgeous sunflower fields, a fun petting farm, and tons of great food and activities. The sunflower fields were one of my favorite part -- absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos. The petting farm was such a cute touch too (the sheep definitely stole the show). You can tell the students really put their heart into making the whole event feel welcoming and organized. We also stopped by the Farm Store on our way out and stocked up on fresh produce, wine (they grow their own grapes!), and some amazing pumpkin bread.

Got there when the event first open, crowd was too massive and was able to take some really great pictures in the Pumpkin area. The petting zoo was really fun- Goats and herds of sheep were walking around the petting area awaiting to be fed (really liked the cleaning station near the exit for easy hand washing), animals were really mellow- which created a fun environment for kids. The ticket booth out front was making short work of long lines. Maybe not all ticket stations were open, but a majority, and all were staffed by actual human beings. People would meet up and hang out in the big courtyard in front of the theater, laughing and enjoying ice cream. Inside, the place was clean and air-conditioned, smelling vaguely of new carpet and strongly of popcorn. It was a fun, wholesome night out, just like the movies have always been. Fast forward to 2026. Almost nobody there. One solitary ticket-taker who was mostly validating seats bought online. Funky smell in the main hall. Bathrooms were trashed, like they didn't have enough people to do regular cleaning, or the maintenance staff was AWOL. Clogged toilets, no TP, etc. After the film, we moved from fthe nearly deserted theater into the nearly deserted complex, and out into the nearly deserted parking lot. I can't ever remember seeing so few people at the movies on a Saturday night. The whole thing felt post-apocalyptic.
