I have taken flamenco, samba, Beyoncé, Ladyshock, drawing, theatre, Sophrology (relaxation/meditation), dancehall, and floor barre and have been impressed. That said, Mia Frye is incredibly rude, abusive and hateful. I have no idea why anyone would take her class more than once. Mia Frye est LA PIRE.

The exercises in the center and across the floor are instructive and effective, yet simple enough not to overwhelm one's memory. The classes are very very crowded, so try to be on time. Unfortunately, they didn't have any salsa classes scheduled for after I called since I inquired super last minute, but they invited me to try a free kizomba class. Now, I've never heard of Kizomba and I don't speak French, but I still had a great time at the class. The instructor was great and the students in the class were super nice and patient with me haha. I wish I had time to take a salsa class here before I leave, and I highly recommend this academy if you're interested in any of the dance forms they teach.

The instructor was inspiring, helpful, and kind. (wonderful to see him effortlessly go into ballet poses) And the class moved quickly, never boring. Half in french and english. I walk there and back to get a little "extra" in. Good to know: Change in-and-out-of your workout clothes at the studio (in Paris it's not cool to walk around in your sweaty workout stuff and if you do, I'll pretend not to know you) . Also, bring a small towel and/or water as they're not supplied at the studio. You can schedule and pay online via the App Mind Body rather than pay in person. There is of course a shower and locker room that has several hair dryers. Not sure about the locks, but it's OK to bring your bag into the studio and leave out of the way. SOCKS are mandatory: If you have barre or yoga socks, bring them or any sock will do, no need for slippers. All levels are welcome.
