I will try to be short here but it will be difficult !! Been searching for a Marine shop -in the Coastal Bend area -- that work on inboards and was even considering going back to outboards - it was that difficult----UNTIL I met the folks at Thurmans . - Starting with Ryan and his wife - simply magnificent people - caring - honest -salt of the earth people and LEGIT folks --! When I arrived - was greeted by Big Nick with a smile on his face - He just simply cared about me and my boat - After which I met Jose - who instantly jumped in explained a few things and like Nick was humble - all smiles and couldn't wait to get the boat uncoupled and get to work . Zach who I met previously while visiting Thurman's was equally cordial - polite and helped me with all my questions !! Again - I could go on but Thurman's has made my whole outlook brighter and confident that I have a shop to help and take care of my boat !! And the cool thing --they CARE !! Amazing folks says it all !!! If you need help - outboard - inboard Give Thurman's a chance - you will be happy you did ! Sincerely JM You can even call Me for info/feedback 720-495-5332 read more

I am shocked that Thurman Marine doesn't have 5 stars on every review!!!? I had a northern lights generator installed on my boat a couple years ago and it worked flawless until last weekend. I contacted Ryan and he walked me through a few things to try before coming out. Of course swapping out the fuel lines estimate was roughly $1700 but but I'd pay twice that if needed. You never want a fuel connection or line leaking on a boat for blatantly obvious reason! Anyway after I followed a few of his suggestions (fuel lines were fine) everything fired right up. I must have had a little crud in the separator that wasn't visible. I cleaned all of my separators, changed filters, and the geneset fired right up. Now a lot of shops would just come out charge all the labor and service fees, change everything out and not feel bad. I firmly believe Ryan and his crew are the most honest, caring team with plenty of integrity. I would recommend him to anyone needing boat work! I'm sold and won't go anyplace else if they can fix it. Your safety should be your #1 concern on the water not shoddy discounted work. If I couldn't afford top notch work I'd buy a kayak. Thanks again Thurman! read more

Thurman's Marine - they worked on my boat. did a great job. - Boat Repair Near Me - Corpus Christi, Texas

Took a 2008 mako 28' cabin cruiser to Thurman's after a long stint in storage. We dealt directly with Ryan, the owner, and his father at the shop. Ryan walked us through every step of the service, told us what it was going to need, how much it would cost, and how long it was going to take. Ryan had great communication with us from the time we brought it in to the time the repairs were completed. He even took us out on it to make sure the repairs were up to snuff! Ryan and the staff at Thurman's marine are top notch, and is recommend them to anyone in search of a quality boat repair facility! Thanks Ryan!! read more

HUGE MISTAKE! We took our small boat w/a 2006 motor for an estimate on a fuel line repair and it sat there over 3 weeks this summer before someone looked at it. The repair man finally called while we were on vacations and when we tried to follow up, we were informed that the owner, Ryan, had gone fishing (on a regular business day) and that we had to wait for him to get back to us. When Ryan finally called, he said it was going cost close to $2,000 to replace the fuel line plus extra work it needed. I called and asked if he could put off doing the full annual service and he said he couldn't cut corners. There is a difference b/w cutting corners and sticking it to the customer. We DID NOT proceed w/the repairs and were charged $250. for the estimate after it sat there for over a month. He informed me that he has a chartering business as well. I guess that explains why they take so long to give you an estimate. Can't imagine how much longer the repairs would have taken had we chosen to proceed. Ryan was also condescending when my husband picked up the boat and asked him to give me his fishing guide business card, since I had told him how much I love fishing and had not been able to go all summer. He told him he was hurt b/c I had pointed out that he had been fishing and if I wanted to go fishing, then his wife could charter his boat, as if. My husband told him he doesn't play childish games and did not take his card. What an unprofessional businessman that gets his ego hurt and rip off this business is. Looks like he caters to people who own expensive yachts or boats. BEWARE small boat owners who love to fish for recreation. read more

I called Ryan for the first time. I needed 100 hour service on my 2017 Yamaha, F90. He explained what the service entailed and the extra things he would take a look at. He said he would even teach me how to properly take the prop on and off to check for fishing line. Once the service was complete (earlier than promised and under budget), he went over everything with me. He tested everything on the motor with me standing there, watching him. He went through all the gears, etc. to show me that everything worked properly. The service was impeccable, very professional and friendly. I will not take my boat anywhere else for service or repairs ever again. Ryan treated me like I was his most loyal customer, and this was my first time going there. Thank you, Ryan and team! I ran the boat the following Saturday and it ran better than it has ever run! read more

Great Service! They took care of an issue with my lower unit that had a few other places said they couldn't fix. 10/10 would go back in the future read more

Great service BIG HIGH 5 back in the water aame week definitely recommending to all my boat buddys ,boats running better than before

Boat was taken here because it would not maintain RPM on plane. It would back down on its own. The shop guessed at the problem and I paid for that guess. 6 weeks later and after only 3 trips (approx. 4hrs run time) to the water the outboard did the same thing. I took it back expecting them to fix the problem I originally took it in for. Sadly, the owner found water in my fuel and I had to pay for another shop visit. This was due to the shop not being liable for what was in my fuel tank. Ok I get that but it stands to reason that this was likely the original issue to begin with yet I paid for them to guess at what the problem was. The owner disagreed with me and said that I experienced multiple problems all with the same symptoms. RIGHT! Lets just keep changing things until we fix it and you will pay. Don't take your boat here, you won't be happy with the experience or the price. read more
