This company is one of the worst counseling services ever. Customer service representatives are none caring and does a poor job at resolving issue. If you call 50 times to ask a question about anything you will get 50 different answers. Thriveworks in incapable of billing correctly and notifying patients that claims are not processing. Two out of three services my son received were billed to the wrong insurance and have now been sent to collections because we were not notified. SIX WEEKS of speaking to billing representatives (all in countries overseas - one specifically told me she is in the Phillipines) have led to dead ends. They promised to bill to the correct insurance. I heard nothing and my insurance company never received any claims so I continues calling. They told me to stop calling and then emailed saying it was rejected again. However, my insurance company says they never received the claim. The representatives give so much conflicting information and there are so many red flags with their "procedure". I told them to transfer me to someone in the United States for my last two calls. The first person I spoke with was wonderful and could clearly see the issue. Unfortunately, she had to submit it to the overseas billing. They, of course, lied again and basically told me 'sorry about your luck' - they wouldn't even submit the claim. The second person in the United States said if they keep pushing this issue, there would be penalties for Thriveworks!! So instead they are penalizing me for their incompetence - the incorrect bills that were never sent to me have now gone to a collections agency and are $500 instead of $40. I am reporting them to The Better Business Bureau and will be asking my state representative's office if they know of someone who can help me to "inspire" the overseas billing agents to do their job. I gave this company a one star rating only because I had to. In reality, they deserve zero stars. read more

I had an appointment with a therapist through this company and made sure I was in-network with the provider. I provided my insurance card and debit card (with promise they would not charge my debit card and I would manage my co-pay in the portal) to hold my appointment. 3 days later I'm hit with a $200 dollar charge to my debit card. They had numerous excuses as to why the didn't bill my insurance company first and a Promise of a refund or reimbursement. I do not trust this company I have severed all ties. Would not recommend to anyone. Instead I caution you to beware. read more

I had been struggling to find a therapist for the past nine months until a friend recommended trying thrive works. I was able to be seen within a couple days of first reaching out. This is my third week being seen by Jenifer and she is amazing! I have severe depression, but since working with her I've been able to get out of bed and do the things I want to do to be happy. The most slimy, obscene, and fraudulent company i've seen in years. They keep trying to charge and overdraft my credit card despite me not owing them the balance they claim that i do. I have reported them to the BBB, and reached out to them, but they just give me the same answer that they were unable to charge my insurance. How is that possible if you have an insurance balance that's already been paid? A bunch of scammers who prey on the mentally ill. The counselors are amazing, but the business is a joke. read more

DON'T DO IT! This place is a joke! The counselor my husband and I have been seeing, hasn't helped us at all. If anything it has us even more torn. The billing system is awful! The woman I am currently on the phone with is rude and refusing to transferred me to a supervisor. When I asked how long it would be her response was "well she has a job, you aren't our only client" I've been arguing with her for 30 minutes and She keeps repeating herself. " I put you on a call back list" THE ISSUE IS THAT NOBODY CALLS BACK and nobody notates the account! It's been a month since my last call and nobody has called me! The fact that this company makes my minor child have her own account in their system set up to my bank card. She is to remember her own scheduled appointments and they won't discuss anything with me. (Appointments, billing, Ect) Her "therapist" doesn't listen and gives her AWFUL advice! I have unauthorized charges on my bank account and nobody will talk to me!! I guess I have to dispute the charges with my bank and hope they give me my money back. This place is a NO GO! I could go on for days about the "mishaps" with this company in our VERY short time here. (1 1/2 months) It's pretty sad actually. Their billing department is a complete mess. I saw a therapist from this company virtually. She was from a different office in Florida, not the Sunbeam office. I have been overcharged 3 times ( read duplicate charges for appointments) and they are not clear in communicating with the therapist about the way she sent the codes over. It was an awful process to get a refund as they never let you talk with the supervisor only the receptionist who picks up the phone. I had an onset of mild depression from dealing with this companies' billing department, I'm not kidding! Awful experience! read more

I gave them my card to hold an appointment for someone else and now month after month they are charging me fraudulently. I was told no way they would charge my account. They even signed me up for a monthly charge!!! I've never stepped foot in their doors!!! I've had to waste hours trying to be reimbursed!!! Just what you need when trying to help a family member that is depressed. To get them to stop I've had to bother the depressed family member even though they are charging me!!! This place is clearly unethical and will get money anyway possible. Be careful on what information you give them because it will be held against you!!! If you are dealing with issues the last thing you need is a company you turn to for help signing you up for stuff. I guess they think you are an easy target. Preying in the weak should be their motto. I was buying a house when hundreds of dollars were charged to my account!!! This could of made me not be able to purchase my home!!! My couselor, for all of three sessions, was good. The billing structure was poor Fees were charged, reverved, and recharged. Unfortunately, my counselor and I were under the same delusion that the fee was managable for me.
