I enjoyed visiting, and walking around the temple, and I saw people taking pictures inside the temple, which I thought wasn't allowed, but since they were doing it, I thought the rules had changed. So I snapped a few photos, and a gentleman came up and told me that I was not allowed to take photos in that area. Later on, I saw more people snapping photos in a different area, and I asked someone if it was allowed, and he told me that YES, it was only allowed in that specific area, so I snapped a few selfies there, when all of a sudden, an armed security guard yelled at me . . . "NO PHOTOS!!!" I said to him that other people were taking pictures here, and they said I could, and he just snapped at me, and yelled "NO PHOTOS, You've been warned twice!!!" What a way to harsh my mellow. I decided to just leave . . . it wasn't the excellent experience I had at my last visit . . . meh.

Tall Spires reaching high above the street and gorgeous architecture make it really stand out. There is a small parking lot at one side of the building and there is also street parking available on the surrounding streets. When you enter, you can't help but be in awe at the massive size and ornate details of the church space. There is a long aisle, majestic columns and gorgeous main and side altars. I have been here for both regular and special event type Masses. I like that they have a Sunday evening Mass option. Mass here is reverent and beautiful. Hearing the organ bellow through this majestic space is incredible. They also often feature a choir during the school year on Sunday mornings. This church is worth visiting whether you want to attend Mass, spend some time in quiet prayer or just take in the gorgeous architecture.

St. Stanislaus has always been iconic with its position on Smallman with golden accents that shine in the sun... especially now as you drive down past The Terminal! The spires have always look... truncated... and now with the history lesson - I fully understand it. The ACME Banana Factory next door had an explosion due to a spark with the ethylene gas in 1936. Launching bananas everywhere, the church had some major damage to the structure which forced them to restructure and thus having some wonky appearances. Even funnier, in 1990, the church was doing renovations and found petrified bananas inside - 54 years after the explosion!!! To this day, they have a banana fest to celebrate the fruitful past! Ornate, gorgeous, and well kept - this church is literally stunning.. to the point that I cannot believe that the doors are just wide open for the public. Praise God that they are so willing to share the beauty with the public so openly.

The interior almost seems small compared to how large it looks looming up from the street, but that adds to the charm of this gorgeously decorated masterpiece! It is a wonderful place to just stop in and admire the beauty, but it is also a wonderful place to spend time in quiet prayer or attend a Mass. Their Masses are reverent and moving. If you are in the area, definitely check it out!
