I am writing this review as a former student of ECS. I attended ECS in Fort Myers, FL from middle…read moreto high school and throughout that time I witnessed and was subjected to incredibly unprofessional and even harmful treatment by my teachers. No adult, especially those that work in education, should publicly harass and berate their students over elements of their lives they have no control over. This school claims to be a model of moral, Christian education, but if they truly believed in the works of Jesus they would not be as hypocritical, unwelcoming, and careless with the children they are supposed to be nurturing.

As a former student that used to go to ECS, I just wanted to let people know that the school is…read morehonestly not Christian. They claim to want to be like Jesus and want to set the best example but don't and anytime someone comes into the school that isn't perfect they kick them out automatically. I had a friend who was going through his mom's death, and they kicked him out when he started acting up. Which honestly made no sense to me because he has amazing grades and has been there for so long. Obviously a student who just lost a loved one, especially their own mom would go through a hard time or act up as a call for help and they didn't even wanna help him or do anything. They kicked them out because of it. They're also a quite bit racist, my friend who goes there had a friend who got in a fight with a kid and just got suspended and then another friend who threatened to fight a guy and he got kicked out and what a coincidence that the one that was black got kicked out, but the one that was white stayed and was just suspended, even though he actually broke the little kids jaw. Just wanted to let you know Incase you are thinking of letting your student come!

Cape Academy, during my tenure there in 2020, was nothing short of a profound disappointment. The…read moreinstitution paraded itself as a serious academic environment, yet what I encountered was a poorly organized and uninspiring excuse for education. The curriculum was shallow and uninventive, delivered in a manner that left students disengaged and unchallenged. Rather than cultivating intellectual growth, the school seemed content with mediocrity, offering little more than repetitive instruction and an atmosphere utterly devoid of passion or purpose. Ms. Kris revealed herself to be inept and apathetic, lacks all empathy. She characterizes herself with disarray, inconsistent policies, and an alarming absence of accountability. Communication with both students and parents was muddled at best, leaving many to navigate confusion without proper support or guidance. Cape Academy in 2020 was not a place of learning, but rather a hollow institution more concerned with appearances than with genuine education. For anyone seeking academic rigor, intellectual enrichment, or even a competent structure, the experience I endured makes clear that Cape Academy falls woefully short. Do not send your child here, especially with Ms. Kris being so biased, unprofessional, and chauvinistic. I thank my ASL and forensics teacher for making my insufferable experience manageable. They were great teachers and taught me valuable skills.

So I didn't want to write this just because I am not a problematic person but I saw another review…read moretalking specifically about MS.Kee and it has given me the courage to speak up about our experience too. This is for the Heights Elementary Ms.kee . She is an incredibly cruel person . She has her favorites based off of monetary reasons and the rest of kids she treats poorly and with cruelty. It was not just my child it was also her friends , she was a horrible person to them. They came home almost every day in tears , if it wasn't something mean she did to them , my child was crying for the way another child was being treated like second hand abuse it really was that bad. We don't go here anymore because she ruined my child's self worth system. I haven't a clue why she decided to be a teacher other then to mess kids up . She literally screams , she calls kids problems , she makes fun of them and she snaps at them constantly she also has weird ways of singling out and punishing. She of course denys all of it but I would listen to the reviews she is not to be trusted and she's like missed Taylor swift concert away from ending up on an episode of snapped. She actually told kids to buy her Taylor swift gifts for her bday , like seriously? Really bad person.

If you know a student's coming to your school, then you should automatically prepare for a bus route. And a bus stop. And then when I address the principal mister adams about my concerns, the fact that my son hitchhiked home, he acted like they aren't responsible for the wellbeing of the students.Once it hits four fifteen, they don't care anymore. And told me I need to be a more responsible parent to pick my child up on time.Even though I do not get off work until five o'clock.I am being a responsible parent by providing for him financially. This goal will do nothing but create more problematic children. Mr.Adams acts like this is a boot camp and a drill instructor and thinks that that's gonna get kids to fall in line by being at p****.And acting like he has dictatorship over them. No, he should not even be allowed to be a principal, a teacher or even a janitor in any school system.Whatsoever.

How this is handled can be different to you, who is not involved in the system to a parent that is. So if you want to get a little more, get involved. The schools cater to below average to slightly above average. Below average get a lot of help, while very smart kids are left in the dark. Parents of exceptional students should be informed on courses that will stimulate, beyond what the school has to offer. In our case we were not. Nobody was. We had to figure advance course options like FLVS starting in elementary school, ourselves. There is nothing 'exceptional' about that CCPS. CCPS has a full time lawyer and because they create so many issues, just by being rude, they need it. The more issues that are created, the more job security the law department has, so they keep them busy with fresh issues all the time. Its not a satisfactory way to focus on education. And its gone on for decades. I could write a book about all thats CCPS has to offer. From the terrible parking for parents and students at Gulf Coast High School, to the bus drivers, some good, some bad. We could go onto the promoting of religion and religious locations being used for mandatory events by the schools. We could talk about the handing out of bibles on school campuses. We could talk about kids bringing weapons to school and the 'kick a Jew' day in one of the middle schools. Yes, we experience it all in little Naples.
