The employees always are helpful and friendly. I have gotten to know them a little bit as I return monthly for RODI water. I am satisfied with my 125 gallon and 240 gallon aquariums and with the delivery and set up. They delivered to the spots in my house where I wanted both aquariums. So I know for a fact they are very knowledgeable about their salt water fish. And have wonderful well taken care of aquariums. I'm giving two stars because they are selling an animal specifically a fresh water crab that they have little knowledge about it's care. I had picked a crab and asked all about it's care before purchasing. The worker informed me it was a 100% aquatic freshwater crab, very easy care, just needs pellet food and gets along with tropical fish. The marking for the crab on the freshwater aquarium was very basic like just "crab". I did try googling his species before purchasing and couldn't find it based on what I could see of them. I should have been wiser and asked specifically what kind of crab it was to help me to proper research before purchase. Either way I brought the little guy home and proceeded to research more about him. I learnd he is a red claw crab. A species that is NOT 100% aquatic NOR FRESHWATER. Infact they need brackish water, do not do well in 100% fresh water and need some kind of land out of water. All of the fish I purchased are doing fine but this little guy died. I really wish their employees werr better trained on what they are selling and could answer the questions with accurate information. Been here a few times. They have a good number of tanks but never have the fish I'm hunting for. The tanks don't look as healthy or as stocked as I'd expect from a LFS. They do carry most of the equipment you'd expect to find at the LFS. However, the selection isn't much. The employee doesn't check on patrons so if you need fish you may have to hunt for the employee. I was in the store for 15 minutes and was never checked on. This family owned business is humorous to say the least. I understand you're in the business of making money, but trying to justify a problem/issue with the poor quality of fish he sales by blaming the customer for having "toxic" water in order to avoid responsibility is just flat out lame. Specially when "toxic" is defined and determined by them. I appreciate the lecture, Javier, as I'm sure the rest of your clients/victims would agree. Word of advise, instead of putting the responsibility on you clients, maybe you should do a better job at screening your supplier. Anyway, I bought 5 fish (neon tetras) one died before morning. I called and asked about their return policy. I was told 24 hrs, but they require you bring a sample of your tank water (to criticize) in order to explain that if the water has any amount of ammonia, nitrates, etc; they are not liable. The other 4 fish I bought are alive and thriving. My advise to you; adopt the "customer is right" business mentality and do what's right for your customers or risk loosing any more return business. This pet store is our favorite place to purchase fish. A couple months ago my daughter purchased a tank & fish from another pet store. Within a couple days some of her fish died. We stumbled upon "Three Little Fish" & let me tell you we are so happy we did. Not only do they have great customer service they are knowledgeable. Nice clean tanks with a good selection of fish. Saw an Emperor Angelfish, which I haven't seen in any other fish store. Beautiful fish! Seems like they have more freshwater selection then salt water. They have tubs of bigger koi fish on the other side along with a cute bird that'll greet you with a hello when you venture over there. Also, the prices are definitely reasonable. You're paying for high quality fish, rather then at Petco or pet smart where their fish are covered in ich. You go to any other fish store & it's about the same price if not more. read more

I've been here a few times and I've mostly dealt with an older lady and a young girl. Both have been very knowledgeable and helpful. During my visit customers kept coming in and it was tough for one person to help them all immediately. I dealt with a young man once and he was a little less enthusiastic and knowledgeable compared to the ladies. They have a fairly large assortment of fresh and SALT water fish and equipment, considering that there doesn't seem to be a high demand for salt water fish in the Antelope Valley. The tanks seem very clean and they always have different fish every time I visit. If they don't have it in stock, they order it for me. Sometimes the wait time for ordered takes a while, but they arrive sooner than later. If you're a fish enthusiast, give them a visit and enter with an open mind ;) read more

I looked online to see what time this store was open until on this day. When I looked on Google maps it said that three little fish was due to Close at 7 PM. So I arrived at 6:30 PM to see what their fish inventory looked like. Upon entry I was asked if I needed help and I replied that I was just looking to see what type of fish were currently for sale. The owners immediate response was that they were closed, so I said oh online it said that you guys close at 7pm. So I then went out and got in my car proceeded to drive off when I noticed a Hispanic gentleman and his young children enter the store. So I waited a couple minutes then decided to go back into the store and record as I entered to see if she was letting this gentleman and his children shop right after refusing me the ability to do so! Indeed the owner was letting this gentleman and his family browse and shop in her store. I then went on to ask why she was letting them shop but turning me away, the owner could give me no clear explanation as to why this had happened. Since this is the only "real" tropical fish store in lancaster, me and my bf decided to check it out since he had a 10 gallon tank with everything for it laying around. so we went in, HUGE selection of fish and always changing. Of course the decor and grave,etc, are a bit pricey. the fish can vary as well. So we looked and looked and decided to get 3 shubunkins and a chocolate pleco. i was a little hesitant getting a fish out of their smaller tanks so i went with the shu's that had been mixed with the other koi in the backroom in a bigger pool. But none the less. they are happy, healthy and active. The employees are nice but i wouldn't completely trust them with recommendations. defiantly do your research first!! nice shop though :) read more

They offer both fresh and salt water for you to purchase for your home aquariums as well. The prices? Fairly decent and the staff always appears more knowledgeable than your local PetSmart and Petco in my opinion. I have an 11 year old a 5 year old and a 4 year old all did extremely well in school so i promised them 3 a fish for each we even joke on our way there that they are my 3 little fishes and that they would all get 1 my oldest found a little lobster but my 2 little guys were taking longer being that they saw salt water fishes they had their heart set on those but we have a fresh water tank i felt so pressured by the wife of the owner as she keep saying are you done? are you done? The younger employee who i believe is the son was extremely nice and helpful he didn't make us feel bad at all and offer us the sale they had going on explain to my kids that the fishes that they finally wanted were sick and were separate to be treated and just overall nice young man however the owners wife went out of her way to make us feel unwelcome my kids hear her say we need to hurry up so i told my kiddo please hurry and pick 1 for each and she keep telling us she wanted us out cause she wanted other customers p.s no one was outside waiting after feeling pressured and seeing my kids cry cause they were being kicked out i told her that it wasn't ok she began to scram at me and my kids and we left the young man apologize for her actions and i walked away as i was in the car i went back and asked her name or the mangers in which she said she was the wife and that she was on the phone with him i tired to tell her husband what happened but she stoped me and told me to get out her husband seems like he wanted to help the situation but she told me get out your not welcome here and well i walked away cause honestly she was childish please look at other locations i moved from the San Fernando Valley and we were customers of Rainbow Aquarium and Pond check them out its a drive but they have amazing fishes and their staff is AMAZING they text you coupons and deals not to mention the owner is EXTREMELY helpful and friendly they also give you warranty on their fishes read more

This WAS my go to store. Lately the selection had been very slim. One day while shopping I inquired about a fish I had never seen before. The girl working told me the price was $40 for it and OFFERED to hold it for me til the following Sunday. I returned that Sunday after scrounging up the money. I really wanted this fish. When I returned, the same girl who held it for me was there. Right before putting the fish in the bag she decided to make a phone call. All of a sudden the fish was now $300. I couldn't believe it. They don't even have anything in there at that price point! There were fish much bigger than that for less than half the price. I felt discriminated against. Luckily, a friend of mine heard about my situation and actually bought me the same fish (though much smaller) for around $15 at PetSmart. Seems like everything is overpriced- they are quite knowledgeable however it seems they are only in it for their convenience and to get money . Went in for some cleaner shrimp and some anemone and they were very rude about when I asked them to get one / if they had one . And for the anemone they acted like it was mission impossible to show me one and said they all kill clownfish except one specific kind which was conveniently $149, or so they said after asking each other 10+ times what kind it was . Comes to getting a shrimp and they wouldn't even check for one . There was one in a bigger tank and the lady ( I'm assuming owner ) wouldn't even make an effort to get it and told me to come back another day and wait because maybe they ordered more maybe they didn't they never know ‍ which is a lie - you know what you ordered . And on top of it the whole time she was talking crap in Spanish assuming I could t understand her . After about 40 minutes of being ignored and handed off to other employees I left and told them I would go go to another and they hit extremely offended . Not a good environment . read more

Really like coming here. I have a new 20 gallon freshwater tank that I just stocked with killifish and dumbo guppies, it was a great adventure waiting for it to cycle so I could come pick out fish. I'm going back soon for some more. I also have a 110 gallon tank ,that I keep with siver dollars that I got here as babies. As of recently I've gotten into birds and saw one that's very cute there. After not being helped at all, we went up to the register to pay and the lady gave us the total...when my fiancé showed his military ID for a discount, she rolled her eyes and slammed the cash register closed to re calculate the total.
