Parking should not be an issue as there is parking on-site and this place is easily accessible for disabled people. There is something for everyone and a kids menu is also available if you do bring your children along. You can order main meals straight away or you can have a starter and then go onto to have a main. And of course not forgetting there are plenty of desserts to choose from. I remember having a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad here and it was gorgeous. You could taste the cheese straight away and the chicken was tenderly cooked. The Ridgacre is a pub I have been to on a number of occasions and I have always enjoyed my time here. Worth a visit in my view.

If you like your steak you will love it here they do a whopping 48oz steak for the hungry guys! Also a huge mixed grill, a massive stack burger called "the Beast" and plenty more other stuff to choose from, and home made chips too! The restaurant part of the pub is not too big so on Friday and Saturday it's booking or you will be disappointed but during the week it's quiet and you can just drop in. Prices are reasonable and servings are a nice size, drinks prices are also quite reasonable. I've eaten here a few times now and it's become my new first choice for meals out!

Not only that, the Wetherspoons is actually really good with the facilities, warmth and atmosphere completely lacking in other nearby pubs like The White Swan and The Junction. The Waggon though should be able to stand its ground a little as its typical of the old-school boozer that seasoned bar workers like myself and seasoned ale seekers like many I know are always happy to stumble across (or out of). It's indicative of the kind of pub it is that within 30 seconds of walking in and ordering a pint of Golden Glow, I found myself in a conversation with an old chap sat nearby about Salopian beers. As well as five real ales, they serve Carling, Fosters and Strongbow. There's no Guinness on tap but cans of it in the fridge. The toilets are located at the end of a dimly lit corridor and the place could maybe do with a spot of paint. Overall it's the kind of pub that has probably survived a long time on a good reputation. Now that the Wetherspoons have moved in next door, hopefully it won't try and rest on its laurels. It's the kind of place that's nice to go for a quiet pint with your mates or on your onesome but certainly not the kind of place to go on a date or in the hope of a wild night out.

Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant.
