This place is so good, it feels like exactly what I imagine when people say hole in the wall (I don't love this term or use it often, but here I mean to say it is super lowkey and casual and the food is so delicious). I've been here at least twice and last time we got the egg rolls, pea pods, salt and pepper scallops, and one of the egg foo youngs. Everything was delicious - egg rolls sound basic but I'd read somewhere they use peanut butter and it has a different flavor and it's more subtle than it sounds but so good. I loved the salt and pepper scallops and I'm sure their other salt and pepper items. Egg foo young was good too and especially yummy as leftovers the next day. Service was nice and just what a great meal - my friend and I loved it and I'd come back when I'm in the mood for Good Chinese Food. Also affordable, which we love.

This is always always been my go to in Chinatown. Decided to go there Sunday afternoon me and two other guest were possibly spent $160 in there. Wewere treated terrible I'm not gonna knock their food. Their food is good but as far as customer service, the lady that works behind the register, this lady needs to go to school or take a class in how to treat customers and then I was offended because she told us we had to pay first before we even got our food that was kinda like an insult. I forgot my cousin asked for extra bean sprouts and water chestnuts she gave us a small bowl of them and charged us $10 for them and they were cold out of the refrigerator. I think this lady fell off the bed that day or something she just was terrible. I had to get Up ask for sweet-and-sour sauce, hot mustard. I had to get up out my seat also and ask for more napkins a terrible experience there.

Chinatown staple only worth (IMHO) stopping in if you're in the area for a late night cheap eats. Nice customer service. Unfortunately eggrolls were frozen and the veg ones hardly had any veggies. Crab Rangoons had pink filling, did not like. Chicken Fried rice was good. (No pic)

When I was sent here for orange chicken, I was surprised at the flavor. I was not expecting to taste orange! The sauce was perfect. The chicken was fresh, not over battered and not over seasoned! The next time I order any breaded chicken I would ask for any sauce on the side. I love the crunchy texture and if I could get crunch out of every bite, I would be a happy eater! The steamed rice was very fluffy. The egg rolls had large chunks of pork and nice blend of veggies. The crab Rangoon also had a large amount of crab blended with the cheese which also had a great flavor. This was my first time here and when I'm back in Chicago, I will bring friends and family!

    Heads up!

Really unspectacular Chinese food. Yes, it's cheap, but trust me, there's a reason.

There were a few small two tops, but mostly those big round family size tables with the giant center lazy susans. Got a paper menu for dim sum items and a regular menu. Had to go with the dim sum goodies since it had so many things we'd never seen in any Michigan Chinese restaurants. Sweet walnut buns, fried bean curd skins filled with deliciousness, brisket with rice noodles that looked like Korean rice cakes, meatloaf, and more. Everything was outstanding, with various sauces presented with different items. This was new for us as well. A deep red vinegar with some fried dumplings, a tasty black sauce with the fried stuffed bean curd skins, a sweet plum sauce with the fried skinny shrimp rolls, it was really fun food. They have a barista making coffee, espresso and even milk tea, but the wait was like 10 minutes. Clean restaurant with very good service. Wish we lived closer so we could make it regular stop.

Go 4 Food in Chinatown has a large menu and a reputation for creative dishes, but our experience…read morewas mixed. The service was just okay. Communication was a challenge since very little English was spoken, and the descriptions of the dishes were lacking. I don't enjoy gambling on menu titles that sound good but end up being something completely different from what you expect. Some of the more familiar dishes were solid. The Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef were both pretty good and tasted like what you'd expect from most Chinese restaurants. Other dishes were much harder to understand, even after asking questions about how they were prepared or whether they were sweet or savory. We ordered the Sauteed Chicken in Hot Spicy Sauce Rice, which turned out to be very heavy on Sichuan peppercorns with a strong floral aftertaste. The chicken sat on a bed of what looked and tasted like deep-fried kale, and despite the word "rice" in the name, there was no rice in the dish at all. That's one item we won't be ordering again. We also tried the Fish Filet with Hot and Sour Lime Sauce. It was basically a sweet-and-sour style fish dish. It wasn't bad, but it leaned much sweeter than expected. Another thing to note: none of the dishes come with white rice--it's completely à la carte. We only found that out after ordering. With prices being what they are these days, it would be nice if they included at least some white rice like most Chinese restaurants do. Overall, the food wasn't terrible, but the lack of clear descriptions and communication made the experience frustrating. I prefer restaurants where expectations are clear rather than discovering surprises after the food arrives.

Usually I can lean on vegetable dishes at Chinese restaurants, but I couldn't even do that here. The one dish I could lean on was the Stuffed Bean Curd Skins. Good as an appetizer or small dish, but not a very sustaining meal. https://yelp.to/73fMmYmBt8 The service was okay. The dining room was packed for lunch on a Friday, which speaks to the popularity of this place. Take my opinion with a grain of salt since my mid experience is based on my dietary needs. My meateater family seems to like it here though. As for those seeking vegan options, I reccomend Veggie House which is also within Chinatown Square.
