Meanwhile, it's eclectic and relaxed in the penny bar area, and the beer garden has a family friendly vibe. The standout for me on this visit was the dining area. It's relaxed but more restaurant than pub-like; in a good way. The service was very good, the staff friendly and prompt. But the best thing was the food. As long as you are happy to go beyond today's typical Australia pub food, and instead try some gourmet style traditional pub food. I had the slow cooked lamb shoulder with vegetables and light jus, while my partner went for the Mediterranean Chicken salad. Both were excellent, but the lamb was next level. Despite being well satisfied we could not resist the sticky date pudding. And we weee both happy we did not. Great experience all-round. The prices are higher than pub meals, but for that you get gourmet food that you will remember for a long time. Worth the little extra for sure.

This was hot and cold veggies and salads to accompany your meal even if it's served with chips..which most meals are. You go to the counter to order and pay for your meal. Once it's ready it is brought to your table. The person who brought it was pleasant and made sure we knew about the veggies bar. I enjoyed a rump steak, while others had calamari and fish and chips. There's also a small casino in the front portion where you can get your fill of pokies. I'll visit again someday...I hope

I have had some of their beers before, namely because I wandered into a bottle shop, but it was great to actually visit the brewery itself. Yeah, the beers are pretty awesome, and the service wasn't bad at all. It may be a bit of a trek to get to, but it is definitely worth it.
