The story and history behind this place is amazing and I love to see how well kept everything is, here. Highly recommend giving yourself a couple of hours to explore because there is so much to see! They close at 5pm and we arrived around 4:30pm, so not enough time to explore the museum, maybe next time. We were able to take several photos of the arboretum and let me tell you, you cannot take a bad picture here - everything is stellar!

I've stayed at the Embassy Suites twice for business purposes. I'm not sure if the entire hotel is…read moresuite-style, but both of the rooms I stayed in were. I loved having extra space to set up my laptop and work area without having to do that in the same room as my bed. Plus, both the living room area and the bedroom have TVs. Both stays, my room was extra quiet and I never experienced any noise or issues. The hotel's neighborhood feels new. A few restaurants and a coffee shop are within walking distance, and the soccer field/recreational complex is right there. Ironically, I could see two free-standing ERs from the hotel; thankfully I didn't have any emergencies and need them. The hotel sells some snack food items, but if you need gas or want fast food, you will have to drive for that. The free included breakfast is highly worth waking up early for and delicious. I recommend the made-to-order omelets. I filled out my omelet form first, then got coffee and fruit and found a seat. By then, my omelet was done. I loved that the breakfast buffet has fountain soda Coke products. The bar area had a fun happy hour with some free snacks, and I got a card for two free drinks each day, likely because my reservation was booked through a loyalty program. I'm not sure if everyone gets this, but if you do, take advantage of it. The hotel bar downstairs also plays whatever sport is in season on TV. If you're here for a conference or meeting (I was), the conference rooms are large and spacious. If you're hosting a conference, several rooms are available and this is probably the best option in town for that. Parking is free and chargers for electric cars are in the lot. I didn't use the fitness room or pool, but they looked nice. The gym has a Peleton bike. If you want to run or walk, I recommend outside because the area is fairly calm, and the park is close by. The only negative I've experienced here is that one of my in-room hair dryers was terrible and barely worked at all. If you're picky about your hair dryer or any sort of shower/bath products, I encourage you to bring your own. So far this is the only Embassy Suites hotel I've stayed in, but I have a great impression of the brand now. I'd stay here again and also seek out Embassy Suites on a personal or business trip.

Epic Rail Train…read moremuseum located in Bowling Green, KY at the historic (1925) L&N Depot. We were looking for something to check out while we visited Bowling Green, and trains are always a good idea. The Good: *Admission is $16 ($14 seniors and vets) for the museum and tour or $8 for just the museum. *Some nice displays in the museum of historic rail antiquities. *Friendly staff *Touring the rail cars is always fascinating, and they've done a great job refurbishing and keeping them in good shape. The Meh: *Smallish souvenir shop to pick up a few gifts and/or souvenirs for train lovers. The Ugly: *Touring the rail car in the summer is just a downright awful experience. I mean, they try their best to cool off the trains with AC, but it's like spitting into the wind. I was schvitzing more than a turkey in November. TLDR: Not the best train museum I've ever visited--and I've visited a LOT--but it was a good way to kill a few hours and didn't break the bank.

First of all, I would like to say that this is a very beautiful venue. The rustic charm is perfect…read morefor a "country" wedding. However, it is NOT ADA compliant and absolutely unfriendly to anyone in a wheelchair. Here are just some of major issues that anyone in a wheelchair can expect: 1. There are no handicap parking spaces. 2. The entire parking area is loose gravel making it impossible to push a wheelchair through. (People had to drag me backwards through the gravel which is very embarrassing and demoralizing.) 3. The doorways are too narrow, causing wheelchair users to scrape and pinch their hands between the door frames and their chairs. 4. The doorway thresholds are not flush with the floor, requiring advanced maneuvering to get over the threshold, and again, scraping and pinching your hands on the door frames. 5. The men's bathroom doorway is too small to even fit a wheelchair. Even if you could fit, the bathroom is still too small to accommodate a wheelchair. 6. The guest seating area outside is also all gravel, making it nearly impossible for a wheelchair user to even join the rest of the guests and are basically forced to watch from the back. (Except for when they open the large barn doors, then the wheelchair user is forced to sit over at the sidewalk because we're "in the way.") I wish I could give this place a higher rating, but with them being an absolutely non inclusive venue, it's impossible. The struggle of being a wheelchair user is difficult enough. The last thing we need is a venue that only caters to able bodied people.

It is a wonderful place for events! Our shower was amazing and all our guests talked about how beautiful it was. I would highly recommend it! And they even had a cute bridal cottage for guests to stay if you're having a wedding or need extra time there. So, so beautiful!!
