This week I made a trip to Pix Shoes in Louisville, KY to find a hat for a special occasion. I…read moreneeded a navy blue hat. Hat or fascinator? What was the occasion? What kind of outfit would I be wearing, dressy or casual? After giving the store owner the information, she immediately went around the store pulling every navy blue hat on display. Then, she went to their stock room and found even more. I was overwhelmed. Then I was asked if I might be interested in any shoes. I wear a size and width that is unavailable in most stores and can only find them at Stout's Shoe Store in downtown Indianapolis, or at Zappos online. She recognized the brand name of the shoes I was wearing and said she had a pair of the same brand on the shelf. Unfortunately, it was a pair that I already own. Then she and her husband set out to find at least 5 more pairs of shoes in my size and width. What is the superlative to overwhelmed? I left the store with 3 hats and a pair of shoes that sell for more than twice what I paid. Needless to say, I will be returning to Pix Shoes on Preston the next time I visit Louisville.

And I love how Six Sisters has expanded into consignment as well. There was a fun mix of more expensive, new items and some great condition, used clothes as well. They range from casual to formal -- I even saw a few bathing suits. Six Sixters had a full range of sizes. There were several great Derby dresses to choose from, plus Six Sisters is selling several fascinators to go with them. Add in the great accessories and shoes, and you can come away with a whole look! My SIL bought several items while we were there. The clerk was helpful, and overall, it was such a delightful shopping experience. I'm excited to go back!

Shout out to Moss Hill for the Sunshine lotion and Southern Sunshine soap. There is such a wide array of items from aesthetic cooking utensils, unique cards, local gourmet foods, rugs, boutiquey dresses, fascinators, colorful socks, toys, etc. This will be a stop for me around the holidays from now on for family gifts. I am so glad I found Forme Millinery, I found Jenny while searching for a Milliner / Hatter. Jenny was very responsive with questions for me to make and initial assessment and answers to my questions. With me being from central Ohio my Wife and I made a weekend trip to Louisville. Jenny was able to replace the sweatband, Remove a plastic liner and resize it just a little bit in a day. I now wear it daily and is my favorite go to hat. When I first found Forme Millinery I though there is no way I can afford such a famous and high esteemed Milliners work. I was wrong she was absolutely fair in pricing.
