Amazing customer service! We are new RV'ers, learning as we go..we stopped overnight, boondocking above Pendleton for the night. Went to open the slide, and no power! We checked everything we could think of..batteries, connections, fuses, still nothing. Luckily we had a generator to get through the night. We got up in the morning and headed to Thompson's based on a locals recommendation. After explaining the situation, one of the team members.(i am kicking myself for not remembering his name Hal.maybe? ), came out and took a look..he was a bit stumped as well. And admitted he was not too familiar with our brand of trailer.More discussion he had us move our trailer to a spot easier to inspect it. After chatting some more and explaining all we had tried, he popped the fuse panel and pulled the 30a fuse and it was blown. ( It of course was the one fuse we didn't have a spare) He replaced the fuse and we were back in business!! He refused any kind of payment, he was happy to help the newbies, and was glad he saved our trip!! 1000% recommended Thompson RV!! read more

We recently purchased our second RV from Thompson RV. The service this time around was as good or better than the last, which was fantastic. Corrin, Burt, Carolyn and their staff are amongst the nicest and most helpful people I have ever dealt with. And they are also very personable and knowledgeable. Easily the most enjoyable large dollar purchases we have ever made. This was after shopping at every RV dealer in Central Oregon and not being happy or trusting of the various salesmen. It was well worth the extra distance to get the comforting service, dialog and trust. I will add that if you are looking for an RV be sure to check with them, even if the distance seems too far. Waste of time trying to buy from this dealer. They were very communicative and helpful and friendly while I was inquiring about two different models of Outdoor series travel trailers, until I told them that I wanted to trade a grand design fifth wheel and that it would be 2 months out because of some other personal things I needed to deal with first. Then they came back and told me they don't take any Grand designs in trade. With multiple other dealers for the outdoor series of travel trailers in the western U.S., don't bother with these people! read more

Had a problem with my MaxxAir fan while traveling through Pendleton. Arrived at Thompson RV at 8:30am when they opened and asked if they could help. They didn't have any service appointments that morning, but two guys (both named "Casey") came out and helped me. They first checked the fuse and then decided it was probably the control board (which I had read already was the likely culprit). They took the fan apart to get the part number for the control board. They didn't have the exact same control board, but did have a compatible one. They installed it, verified the fan worked and put it back together. It was critical that I have that fan since I was heading to Moab and had my dogs with me. I don't have A/C so needed some way to keep the RV as cool as possible (and no, I don't leave my dogs in there when it gets too hot, but it helps keep it as cool as possible especially at night). My sincere thanks to them both. You need to reward and retain employees like these guys. read more

As good as it gets. Everything about the experience of shopping, asking questions, through purchasing and delivery are outstanding. Zero pressure, questions thoroughly answered, great selection. Thompson RV is family owned, and when you shop and purchase here you will probably get to meet all three of the family members. Corrin and Burton, who are brother and sister, have an incredible amount of knowledge about their products and give extremely thorough answers to all questions. They grew up in this business, and it shows. Their genuine concern for customer satisfaction shines through in all they do. Carolyn, the mom, also knows everything about every unit and takes care of the office. Everyone that we encountered while shopping and purchasing was very, very friendly. Best environment we have had the pleasure of experiencing. There is a reason they are the #1 Outdoors RV dealer, and people travel from all over the country to purchase here. Huge selection, with quite a few RV's in their indoor showroom. When there, be sure to check out their amazingly restored vintage trailers. Very well stocked parts department with typical Thompson RV friendly staff taking care of it. I had a couple questions after taking delivery of our trailer, and when I called, they were quickly answered. It seems that no matter who you get on the phone, they know their products and can help you. Their YouTube videos are some of the most well done and informative out there. This is the antithesis of the big, corporate owned RV dealership. Places like Thompson RV are getting almost impossible to find. They treat you with respect and leave you with no doubt they care deeply about your satisfaction and experience. I can't recommend them highly enough. We are fortunate to live only an hour away, but I would travel any distance to purchase here, and feel good about it. read more

Went in looking for a stem (part for outside shower faucet). Person that I wouldn't call a gentleman at the parts counter was rude and wouldn't even get up to help. When we tried to explain what our problem was he said go buy a new faucet we don't sell parts. If I owned this business he would be walking down the road looking for a new job. I would fire him. You go a Rv PARTS department for parts. Thank goodness for Standard Plumbing they had the faucet stem for less than $10. Definitely wouldn't recommend Thompson RV for anything. read more

One year ago we bought our ORV 19 MKS from Thompson's. We had done our homework, completed a factory tour and drove 8 hours from Vancouver B.C. to complete the purchase (There is an ORV dealer 60 min from us in the Fraser Valley). The sales team were perfect and very attentive before during and after the purchase. We just drove down again for a few small details prior to completion of the warranty period for those issues. We worked with Justin pretrip and then Harv today when it was brought in. Fantastic personable service and it was ready in just a few hours. When we are ready for something a bit bigger, we won't waste any time with our local group but rather head south to Pendleton. Employees and service staff that makes me wish I had driven here just to buy my RV from them. Absolutely stunning service and a large clean well stocked showroom. I completely F-ed up getting gas and I just barely clipped my sewer drain on the stupid post at the gas station (which by the way F you chevron putting a sign at an exit 3 miles from where you are which is NOT RV friendly AT ALL, but I digress) long story short I rolled in here at almost 3 in the afternoon, I was greeted by 3 people right off (not cringey sale-sey way) and promptly directed to the shop where (and I'm both terrible and tired so I forget the technician name) dropped everything to get me fixed up on the pdq so I could be on my way. most of what you read about thompson rv isn't wrong, but that's not to say there isn't people working there that will ruin the experience and make you walk away. after working with a salesman, learning about outdoors rv from the manufacturer and getting the warranty information straight, two days before making the drive to pickup a new trailer the entire deal was killed by the antics and unprofessionalism of a guy named burton. Trying to get a couple of simple answers became an unnecessary back and forth of saying "amazing" and "cool" without addressing the questions I had. Avoiding the subject and deflecting by saying "you're gonna love it" is unprofessional, frustrating, and sounds like a cheap used car salesman. It was so disheartening to be at this point and have a random guy just straight up mislead me as a customer and conduct himself in this manner. He got so bad I had to repeatedly say "stop contacting me" after explaining that i was done with the dealer and going somewhere else, but he wouldn't stop. I point this out because this was all over email, where everything is in writing, and this guy thought continuing to message me was the right thing to do. I couldn't figure out how and employee could be allowed to behave like this especially after meeting so many others. Turns out it's because he carries the dealers name, Thompson. If there was a way you could avoid him that would be best. Especially when I was told "ya, we get that a lot, but there's nothing we can do" after explaining to another staff member why I wasn't going to buy the trailer now. read more

Purchased a 2019 Timber Ridge 24RLS from Thompson's. A genuinely positive experience from the family members Corrin, Carolyn and most importantly, Burt. Burt took the time to answer my questions, and even installed an Amazon purchased quick connect watering system for my Trailer's wet batteries. Carolyn went above and beyond by ordering a second spare tire for me with a matching mag from the factory.
