November 23rd, 3 years ago, I was involved in an accidental shooting. I had attended a house party…read moreat which I had planned to spend the night. I was shot in the left buttock while I was sleeping! Talk about a rude awakening??!!! The bullet hit 3 organs, my rectum, vagina and bladder. I required 2 major surgeries, a catheter for first 3 weeks and a colostomy bag, I named Lola, for 8 months. It was over a year worth of physical recovery with some residual bladder issues and ongoing emotional recovery from the trauma of a life changing experience. At the time this happened, I met with a couple of lawyers and was feeling extremely bummed out about the whole situation and truthfully, I had very little faith in attorneys and that they actually gave a damn about me as a person and what I was going through. Just as I was feeling I was done talking with attorneys, Pam Rochlin stopped by my house and everything changed. She was extremely kind to me and I could feel genuine empathy from her.
