Don't go to this doctor! My 78 year old mother, who has a broken hip, a replacement hip, and neck pain went to see him, she was referred to this horrible, bully by her pain management Dr. Sharma, because she's been on Fentynol patches for a few years. She wants to get off the patches, that's why she was there. She assumed he would lower the dosages of the patches to ween her off them. That's why he's a Pain Management doctor right? I normally take my mother to all of her doctor appointments, but on this day my father took her. I am a Teacher, and couldn't take her that day. My mother walked into the room. He proceeded to interrogate my mother!! He proceeded to ask her questions, and when she would try to answer them he would cut her off and ask her another question, not letting her answer. My mothers neck has been hurting her, she had cervical spine surgery with Dr Palumbo years ago, and it's been hurting, he knew this.. and he kept walking around not looking at her, and my mother would follow him by turning her neck, and told him it was hurting and he said nothing! Totally disregarded my mothers neck hurting! He questioned her, and my mother could not remember certain things, and he was annoyed, and continued being rude to her!! She tried talking to him about her pain, and he stated I didn't ask you that! He continued to interrogate her, with an attitude!! My whole family are professionals, and Law Enforcements. He even asked her angrily was she ever ARRESTED!!!! My mother is a caring, loving and kind woman, and this man treated her like a damn criminal!! He wanted urine from her, so she went into the front, to get the cup, and couldn't go to the bathroom, so she told the girls at the front desk she couldn't. She told the girls she would sit and wait until she could provide the urine. She told them she was going out front to get her pocketbook from my father, and the girl told her.. IF YOU LEAVE THIS BUILDING YOU CANT COME BACK, and THE DOCTOR WILL REFUSE TO TAKE HER AS A PATIENT! So she asked a young man sitting in the waiting room out front, if he could go to a silver car outside and ask my father to give him her pocketbook, and the man did it for her!!!! My dad gave him her bag! At this point my mother was so horrified and so upset she was shaking! She's 78 years old!!!! How dare this man treat my mother the way he did!!! He interrogated her as if she was a addict!! She was put on the patches so she could have a better quality life! She went to him so he could ween her off the patch!! That's his profession! My mother walked out! This man is a bully! He paid for those good reviews we see! I contacted Dr Sharma told his girls to document how Dr Jan treated my mother word for word, AND I CONTACTED THE BOARD OF MEDICINE!!! I'm a educated woman, we are all professionals and law officers in my family! I Sent copies of his reviews as well. We are all writing the same things about this bully! I did it the right way! How dare Thomas Jan think he could belittle my mother, in such a manner as he did, especially asking her has she ever been arrested! This man should not be able to practice medicine! She went there so he could help her get off the patches, NO DR JAN my mother is not a drug addict, she has never been arrested, she lives a great life! Her children are all educated! How dare you treat my mother like that! This could have been anyone's 78 year old mom. Would you allow this?? She's still crying because she can't believe he treated her like that! She's been depressed as well! He hurt her feelings! Let the board of medicine investigate him now!! read more
