I've always ordered from this and was served very fresh tasting meals as a result, so if there's something you like on here, I think it'd be a good call. There's also free bread served with each meal with a side of bean and thyme spread. The chef brings out the dishes herself, which is a nice touch. For dessert, I got the crème catalan --- a cinnamon version of a crème brûlée. Tasty, but a bit puddinglike for my taste, and I would have been happy with half a serving. Many of the other reviews describe it as a vegetarian restaurant, but it does serve a few meat specialties like jamón serrano. Piccolo Paradiso serves the food I cook for myself --- and they do it better than I do.

The variety of dumplings are: pork with cabbage; mixed meat with carrots and eggs; mixed meat with paprika and eggs; mixed meat and celery; mixed meat and long asparagus beans; beef with carrots and egg; coriander chicken, sweet corn and green peas; shrimp, pork, beef with cabbage; shrimp pork beef with cilantro; and vegetarian dumplings too! The dumplings can be purchased uncooked or frozen. The owner was quite friendly and helpful. We decided to buy a variety of frozen dumplings of her choosing. They are made fresh every day. Very easy to prepare yourself - boiled for soup or pan fried (instructions included) Or They can be prepared for you. The best dumplings in Hamburg!!

The menu changes frequently and while they do have a menu with some staples, seems like everyone is looking at their specials board that changes everyday I believe. I ordered off the specials board - noodle soup. The noodle soup was really great! Had a lot of great flavors and on a cold day, this helped to warm me up! I love the vibe of this place! The staff is super friendly and they have a great lunch selection that will please your taste buds. I will be sure to come back to try more!
