Such a pretty temple! I love their deity statues. They have plenty, yet it's not cluttered. Their incense sticks are pre-bundled for you and tied by a rubber band so you don't have to count them out. Once you light the tips with the candle and place a stick for each god, you'll have some left over for the outside shrines!
The temple is extremely quiet and calming. I visited in the middle of the day during the weekend and it's a shame that it's so vacant. Maybe because people are away for the holidays. This temple is very small, but that's what gives it its humble atmosphere.
I didn't see any monks here, but the elderly caretaker was really kind and rings the gong for you when you bow to the gods. He even helped me locate the censer for the Thien Hau statue (the center largest structure is the temple's main focused deity), which was located behind instead of directly in front, as is custom. There is a box for money donations for the temple near the main deity.
Outside is a wishing well! When you're praying, you can ask for anything you find important to you-- good health, success, grades, happiness, family health, beauty, wealth, love... I normally ask to keep my family healthy and happy first before asking for good grades and success haha. So come visit if you need peace of mind and good luck on your prayers! :) read more
