At first I was going to lean towards just doing a 3 star as I've only had this one bad experience, but this is the only experience where I needed customer care from them. It doesn't bode well for any future issues. It was just such poor customer care, honestly kind of insulting, that I'd like to make sure people's attention is drawn to this. This company is selling cannabis. They're making ungodly amounts of money off their customers. To be this inflexible, difficult, and almost accusatory towards a regular wasn't acceptable so I'm sticking to a 1 star.
Employees were really lovely. Shop is clean and bright. I'd been super happily going here four months. A really regular, always polite, quick customer. Happy with my products and experience. However, I've recently found that if your product is defective the employees haven't been trained on the refund policy. In Bangor at least.
You can't get a refund based on taste or preference (obviously, that's fair), but if a product is defective you absolutely can. However, when I went in looking for some assistance with a defective cart (the electrical component fell apart) that was still half full, I was given a "It's half gone" first which made me feel like he thought I was trying to pull a fast one (I didn't want a full refund). I purchased my replacement, at full price, and the employee gave me a casual, "contact them" when I said I could just get in touch with the brand. I was polite, but I did say I was really surprised and unhappy that they had no refund policy for defective product. He did say he was sorry politely, but he couldn't do anything, and we agreed emailing was a good idea.
The emails they have didn't work for me. Make sure you're using .org (but from my sent folder I did use .org so I don't know if you'll have any luck). I never had email success so I went to the chat option. when I finally got into the chat and we were working on things it disconnected on me twice making the whole conversation disjointed, confused, and beyond frustrating. I had to talk to two people which meant the second one couldn't see photos, didn't have time to really read the old transcript, and was coming in cold giving me multiple bits of info that didn't fit the situation or that I'd already been told previously.
When we finally got past the tech issues I was then told because I wasn't getting the refund in store (... because he said it wasn't possible when I was in store) that my only option was a refund to my account in the store. For someone else that may be ok, but I'm no longer confident buying product from the store after all that. For me, I've been shown over 3 different occasions in the span of a week via in person, email, and chat that if I have a problem it probably won't be resolved. So honestly a store credit is pretty insulting at this point.
I was finally told that if I want to go back to the store, after I've had all these issues, I can get my cash in hand. Which would mean going into a store I'm not comfortable in anymore and making a scene. Not a dramatic scene, I'm kind to employees I'm not interested in being a Karen, but I'd have to do a whole song and dance to explain myself at the till and I'd look like the problem to employees and everyone behind me in line. It'd be embarrassing and uncomfortable. I'd end up the problem even though I just wanted them to take responsibility for a tiny little problem. 30 dollars to theory is nothing. To me it's half my week's groceries. I budget theory into my budget just like anything else, having to buy double in a week means something to me (it helps me sleep, I don't consider it recreational, not that I have to explain myself)
So the store, the employees charisma, and product is great . . . as long as nothing ever goes wrong with any of your product. At that point I can't say you'll get any decent service. In fact, I'm pretty sure you won't until they overhaul. :0( bummed out. I really liked the place. Brothers Cannabis down the road is smaller, but equally friendly. read more
