It is always impossible getting in touch with personnel. Whether it's in the circulation or billing…read moredepartment. It's very very frustrating to keep leaving messages over and over and never receiving a response. My aunt is 95 and was receiving her papers down the hill from her residence . Recently they have stopped using carriers so they were sending papers to her Post office box.. she has a small box at the PO and can only pick her papers up once a week so her.Mail and newspaper were being stuffed into her box so tightly she couldn't pull it out. The AJ distribution Dept said she could receive her papers at her street address. So they changed her delivery address to her street address. She hasn't received any of her papers for a couple months. So I called the post office . They said they will not deliver to her home address.. the papers were all returned to the Auburn Journal office... but I haven't heard from AJ so I don't know what to do..

The local daily newspaper in Auburn CA. What can you say about the Journal.....they publish 6…read moredays a week. Frankly its hard to run a print media business these days, and Auburn Journal (edited by Derek Rothe) does a pretty darn OK job of it!!! Recently, they greatly improved their local coverage, even interviewing a local DJ MC person, a local Yelper, who strongly believes in NOT biting the hand that feeds him, LOL. For another view of Auburn, but a lot cheaper (ie. FREE)......check out the Auburn Sentinel, a weekly newspaper published locally by the owners of Sierra Heritage Magazine.

Love this 'zine because it has been around forever and chronicles the goings-on in the craft beer…read moreindustry nationwide. It refers to itself as "America's Favorite Brewspaper" and complimentary copies are often provided at establishments that take beer seriously (brewpubs, microbreweries, and the like). I'm happy to see that they have changed their format from a small newspaper style to a larger-format newsprint magazine. Everything in this publication is top-notch. I read it cover-to-cover for the features, covering beer festivals you may not have heard of (for example, the Snowmass Chili Pepper & Brew Fest in Aspen, Colorado), biographies of new up-and-coming talent in the beer industry, and the evolution of the American beer market. The regional coverage is great, although heavily weighted towards coverage in the Pacific Northwestern region. California beer news is reported in several columns including Bay Area Beer Backroads, Central Coast, and Live and Drink in L.A. Arizona's beer reporting may appear in Rocky Mountain Brews or Southwestern Sips. Without comparison, Celebrator is the definitive current newstream for everything exciting going on in Craft Beer. I can't seem to throw out even one issue, because the maps of beer destinations nationwide are too valuable. And I don't really look at the beer ads... (he said half-shamefully, blushing), I REALLY only read it for the articles. Yeah, that's it. I read it for the articles!
