This is definitely the place where you can walk in, tell the shopkeeper what you're looking for and how much you want to spend, and they'll lead the way. I think a shop like this is perfect for someone just getting into wine, because you can say what you're planning on serving, and they'll suggest a few options in your price range. The small staff all loves what they do for a living, and as a result they are as knowledgeable and informed as anyone else at the top of their field. They're also hilarious! Make sure you're following their Instagram for some of the funniest content in OKC. I think they could have a comedy sketch show for real if they wanted to. It would actually be a great show - you'd have your constant customers coming in, and the interactions, and maybe one of the more colorful characters is really the one who has it all figured out...now where did I put my screenwriting manual? The decor isn't anything to write home about-concrete floors and walls, but hey it's clean and highly organized, which is kind of a plus. The selection of spirits is deep-the whisky collection being a particular standout. Don't get me wrong the beer and wine selection is okay, but the spirits is what this place is all about. They also carry some super awesome Caribbean rum-all three varieties of brugal for example. Pricing is okay for your lower and mid range quality items. You can get a half rack of big headache el cheapo beer(keystone. PBR) for grocery store prices sure enough, and maker's mark in the mid twenty dollar range isn't any too bad, but the pricing for the higher quality items becomes somewhat uncompetitive. A hundred dollars for booker's bourbon seems excessive. Sure it's the best bourbon on the market buttt......well, good lawd that's a lot of money. Service is ye olde ma and pop-no joke the owner or the owners family are the folks behind the counter. Somewhat better then dealing with your average can't-be-bothered-to-care rank and file miscellaneous employee. Whatever else the counter staff/owners mos def have a stake in the business, and thus tend to try harder. We'll see where all this takes us, but for now this is a good verging on great place for all your inebriatetive needs.
