I recently experienced severe hair loss due to stress. I knew I had to do something just to be able to go to work. I didn't realize how noticeable it was until co-workers informed me a supervisor was cattily making fun of me. My daughter knew of the Wig Cottage as her friends mother went there when her cancer treatment caused her to lose all her hair. The girls working were very nice and had great suggestions. They matched a hairpiece for me and trimmed it to work with my hair. They spent quite some time showing me how to put it on, many, many times until they were certain I could do it in my own. It was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. They examined my scalp and told me there's new hair growth coming in which made me feel much better. They said they accepted walk ins and I wanted to be fitted for Halo extensions. The girl they met with me struggled to get it fitted and said she is typically not the one who does it. They only had blond so I couldn't really tell how well it would blend in with my dark brown (almost black hair). No way I am shelling out over $600 for something if I can't see how it will look. Well.... I took my mother there. She is going thru Chemo, lost all her hair. We tried a different wigs, the one she like we needed to ordered cause we want different color. Was one in the store she liked as well. I said mom take this one is here and you can wear it now... She was excited about feeling like herself again. The wig had a price of $235 So I looked at the price, and the owner said add $20 more they are old prices. I am like ok... no prob. Mom tried a few more, then i said. Ok we are ready she will take the one from first $235. Then $255 Then she said sorry that one is $275!!!!! In my opinion she saw us desperate and wanted to make extra bucks from a cancer patient. Totally unacceptable! Tag prices are for a reason she should have let us have it. Instead she went up $40 bucks. Worse place ever! read more

I pondered the last few weeks about writing this lengthy review of this company, the Wig Cottage. Still, I decided to write it so that others will shop around when deciding to purchase a Wig or Wig Topper from this business. I know she has done some great things for other people, (not so sure about the price though) but cutting out labels is deceptive, plain, and simple! Last month, I purchased a 'Wig Topper' to add a little fullness to my hair. Geuzane found one wig topper, and only synthetic hair would match my variegated silver hair she said. So, being laypeople, I took her word for it. She clipped it on my head and gave me instructions on what I could do with it, but nothing more. I purchased the topper, wig shampoo, and conditioner, plus a wig brush for a total of $467.09. I thought that was a really steep price for this little thing as it wasn't even a full wig, but as a senior citizen and never having to shop for any kind of wig prior, I paid it. The next day I went to put on the topper and looked inside to check out the designer label, fiber content, place of origin, and there wasn't one. I was shocked that all the labels were cut out and it looked like the back inside had been trimmed prior. I immediately called and spoke to Geuzane, and this is what she told me verbatim, "I cut out all the labels so the customer doesn't know who made the wig. I can't compete with the internet, and I don't want my customers to find them online for a cheaper price. I take the time to work with my customers and don't want them to purchase elsewhere." Well, to say the least, this was a shocking statement by an owner! I told her that it was deceiving to the customer and that everything you purchase has a manufacturer label. She said it was legal for what she was doing. Really? Well, I found out it is NOT legal at all to cut out the label! And, I found another reputable local wig shop with the same exact topper for $200. So, in my conclusion, take heed to this shop. The phone call was enough to know they cheat her customers with deceptive and no-competition selling practices. No wonder why they cut out the labels. Other Las Vegas shops don't seem to have an issue with the online competition or keeping all their labels intact--they play fair both in their products and their pricing! read more

I love this place. When I started to lose my hair due to chemotherapy, I had no idea where to go. Luckly I found this place. I went in and was treated like a queen, no matter how many wigs I tried on. They were patience with me. And then I found the wig. I decided at that moment to shave my hair and I would be walking out a blonde. They shaved my hair for me, that was the most satisfing moment. I felt like I was taking control of the cancer. Wow! What a great store! We made a quick stop here to look for some "chemo caps" for my ailing mom. The staff at this store is incredible! The young gal that helped us was so kind and helpful. We showed her a picture of what we were looking for and she directed us quickly to exactly what we had come to find. She gave us all our options and even suggested we go to a private "station" if we wanted to try some styles on. I love this place for their privacy stations and kind and considerate staff. We recently went to buy a few wigs at Serge's Wigs up off Sahara and Arville. While the store is nice, there is NO privacy and the staff is cold and certainly not genuine. Wig Cottage was a pleasant surprise. Not only do they have a selection of wigs they have a plethora of caps/scarves for those in need. They also offer a large selection of baseball style hats that have hair sewn in. I even considered buying one for myself! Would definitely make my husband happy to not have to wait an hour for me to get ready in the morning. They also have a chemo patients friendly line of moisturizers and soaps which is really nice considering the issues that come with taking that dreaded chemo. Although the staff is very friendly. The $460 investment I made lasted 20 mins. Synthetic hair is a horrible choice. I use my topper as a reminder of what a huge fool I was. I found better products online of real human hair for $160. Don't make the same super expensive mistake I did. The peice is way darker than I needed. It doesn't blend well with my hair. It doesn't wear well due to it is super shiny plastic and a static electrical mess. I was such an idiot and desperate due to my thinning hair. I won't be returning. We visited this incredible place and they treated us amazingly! We were greeted immediately and checked in by Alana. The staff were very patient with us. They had their wigs on the head stands. Alana brought out samples of colors of the different wigs they had. The wig my sister in law picked is called Rebecca. This wig was a long haired. They shaped it to her liking and gave it some character with some bags. They seriously have all different kinds of wigs and color. Unfortunately i didnt take pictures of the before of this wig but the after was jaw dropping amazing! They cut it for you and style to your liking. Just look at the texture of the wig. The wig felt so real. My sister in law and i are extremely satisfied with how we were treated and the entire experience. The wig quality is amazing and looks REAL!
