We love this little clinic! I have seen 2 other acupuncturists in Nanaimo and both made my pain worse. The first time I came to here I had nerve pain in my face from a car accident. After 2 treatments with Clayton I was 85%-90% better. He didn;t put any needles in my face, just in my hands and feet. My husband only had needles in his knees and hands for his shoulder and my mother always has them below her knees and elbows when her back hurts. Different points for all of us. I was told that he doesn't put needles where it hurts because it hurts to put needles there. It certainly made my face hurt more when the other women put them there so it's appreciated. I love the zero gravity chairs (some people do use them for camping), it's a lot more relaxing than a table especially if you have back pain. The cloth on the chair is always replaced for everyone and he always uses hand sanitizer, it's always clean and relaxing here. The last woman I saw charged me $140 for one acupuncture session, I can get 7 treatments here for that. So yes, save your money! This place is great, more than a wonderful guy.

When you walk in the building for your appt it's very quiet and seems like it…read moremight be ok, then you're led into a room where there is already 4 other people sitting in a circle in actual reclining camping chairs. The room is freezing and super hard to relax in with everyone else there. There is no seperation whatsoever. It was like an awful camping trip with no fire and a bunch of strangers. I was sat in one of the camping chairs and told to roll up my sleeves and pant legs. Needles were placed in my shin area and forearms as well as 1 in the top of my head, exact same spots as everyone else! There was absolutely no attention given to the actual location/reason for me coming for treatment even though I addressed it right in the beginning. He gives the exact same treatment to every person in the room no matter what and says "he likes to treat the issue indirectly". So indirectly that it's not at all. I was told I'd be checked on every 10 minutes and never got checked for the next 45. The guy across from me was snoring and then choking on his on phlegm and jolting awake to clear his throat. Not relaxing at all and quite disgusting to listen to!!! As the acupuncturist was moving between us placing and removing needles he never once used gloves or washed his hands, our blankets were passed to the next person and the towels on the back of the chair was not replaced. Very unhygienic. This is the worst place I've ever been to for any treatment. Save your money and time!!! There are some wonderful acupuncturists in town and this guy is not one of them.

This woman has a bad habit of leaving needles in her patients after the session is over. She left a needle in my ankle and I didn't realize it until I got home. It must have dislodged in my sock as I was getting dressed after the session and when I went to take off my socks that night at home, I was stabbed in the finger with this needle. The fact that this needle did not make its way down during the rest of the day and not stab me in the bottom of my foot is a miracle. She also has a cleanliness problem as the head rests in her rooms are often dirty and full of hair. As well she lets her dog go in and hang out in the actual patient rooms! I don't know about you, but having an 80 pound rotty lying next to me is not my idea of first world health standards.
