While programs and activities are important today to meet the needs of various individuals (and the church does have a variety of programs/activities), having a strong foundation on God's Word is critical toward encouraging spiritual growth. The Pensacola area has many churches with several of those also being similar to Campus Church in its traditional approach. And while Campus Church is large, primarily a result of the college's student body, it is a traditional church that seeks to preach the Word, edify one other, and reach our world for Christ.

It seems that the majority of the people there are students from the PCC college and that they really don't want to be there. Everyone wears a suit and tie, there is always at least one special music, and the whole thing is recorded. It felt like attending a performance; not like church at all. Also, they insist on using the KJV despite the hard to understand language and preach that modern translations are evil. That was the last straw for me. So sad because it could have been so good, but my family and I will be looking for a true church to be a part of, not a well-polished and tradition-stuck performance to attend.

The experience truly made my faith stronger! Fr. Hector had been having some pretty serious health issues and was told by his doctors not to talk at all. He put his own pain and self last and led his flock by example. My kids (ages 4, 2 and new born) didn't get enough sleep the night before and weren't behaving the way they should have been. The ushers saw we were having trouble and brought them few books to look at. Also a lady in front of us gave the kids prayer cards which also helped the situation. I have never felt more welcome! God bless this parish for keeping our tradition and faith strong! We will be back

We weren't rude but we received a lot of rude looks like we didn't belong. Never my life have I seen such behaviour the Church. Steer clear. Find another church. This is the toxicity and smugness that our Pope had warned about. The priest Father Perez continually bad mouths the Vatican and the Pope, which is wrong. The priest should not be disrespectful towards the Pontiff and let it be known to the parishioners, he needs to keep that to himself or talk directly to his bishop about it. You gripe up and never down because it is against good order and discipline if you don't.
