Amazing dance studio! The dance director, Cruz Conde is an amazing instructor. Not only on dancing, but on overall growth for the dancers. He really pours out his heart for his students and it shows. My daughter started here a year ago. She is super shy, but enrolling her in this class (first k-pop, then Hip Hop), and with Mr Condes exceptional encouragement and support, it really helped my daughter go outside her comfort zone and start to really believe in herself and others. I highly recommend TVDC! read more

I'm writing this review because I wish someone had warned me before we invested two years, thousands of dollars, and so much emotional trust into an environment that ultimately felt controlling, reactive, and unforgiving. The performances may look polished on stage, but behind the scenes our experience ended in a way that broke my daughter's heart. Our family had been part of this dance studio for two years. My daughter loved dancing there, enjoyed the performances, and genuinely cared about the friendships she made. Unfortunately, our overall experience became increasingly stressful and ultimately traumatized two innocent kids. Communication at this studio was overwhelming and often unprofessional. The owner relied heavily on the BAND app and posted extremely long messages almost daily. Important information became buried under endless posts, making it difficult for busy working parents to keep up. If a parent asked a simple question, instead of giving a direct answer, screenshots of old posts would be sent back with red circles highlighting information. If responses were not immediate (even during work hours or overnight) follow-up messages would quickly appear asking why nobody had replied yet. There was also constant pressure to spend additional money beyond tuition. Between bonding events, merchandise, photos, private lessons for missed classes, food sales, hundred dollar bags, accessories, and other add-ons, it often felt like upselling never stopped. Despite working full time and later caring for sick grandparents, we always made sure our daughter attended class, practiced at home, participated in performances, paid tuition, supported fundraisers, and additional bonding events. Other dance parents helped us with carpooling during difficult family circumstances. Over time, small misunderstandings seemed to become personal issues with the owner. One example involved dance photos. I chose not to purchase a very expensive photo package sight unseen, but later viewed another parent's purchased photos to see the quality for future years. This resulted in angry phone calls accusing us of trying to "steal" photos, even though we were simply viewing a package that had already been purchased by another family. The situation became much worse after another family (close friends of ours) had a disagreement with the owner. Their son was suddenly removed from the studio. His mother later emailed asking if he could attend one final class simply to say goodbye to his friends and teachers. Because the kids normally carpooled together, he arrived at class with my daughter. Instead of handling the situation privately or compassionately, the child was turned away at the door and left waiting outside alone for a ride home. While this was happening, messages from the owner began appearing on my iPad questioning why he had been brought there. The child saw those messages himself while riding home. Before I even had the opportunity to respond after getting off work, the owner removed my daughter from the studio as well. Hours earlier, she had danced with everyone like normal. She was blindsided and devastated, crying for hours and not understanding how adults she trusted could suddenly cut her off without warning. No child should be placed in the middle of adult conflicts this way. Regardless of disagreements between parents and studio management, the children deserved kindness, professionalism, and compassion. Hours earlier she had been dancing, laughing, and participating like everything was normal. Then suddenly she was discarded. My daughter cried for hours. She could not understand how adults she trusted could smile at her one minute and remove her from everything the next. No conversation. No compassion. No chance to say goodbye to her teammates. Just gone. No child deserves to be put in the middle of adult conflict this way. I understand businesses have rules and boundaries, but there is a humane way to handle situations involving children. What happened to these kids was emotionally damaging and completely unnecessary. Parents considering this studio should understand that communication style, expectations, and conflict handling before committing financially and emotionally to an owner that does not ultimately have your child's best interest in mind. read more

Been at this studio since 2021 and I will say a lot of things have changed in a good way!! We have K-pop now! Contemporary, hip hop, jazz, fusion, and all kind of different master classes! Mr. Cruz opened my eyes to all different types of moves that I never seen before and gave so many amazing opportunities like the thousands of shows we have and the kids get to go on trips to show off their moves! I would definitely try this studio out if you are wanting to start somewhere where you can express your moves and learn new ones!! read more

We are very impressed with Mr.Cruz's as a performer and dance coach. This place has shown my boys teamwork, commitment, and confidence as performers. The shows are always incredibly unbelievable and impressive to be part of the audience. Our story -- We were looking for a Hip Hop dance class for our 5 year old, and this place was referred to us by a friend. Our first season, we were new to the "dance world" and a lot of learning but find it enjoyable for our son who love to dance. It really showed his joy in dance. Fast forward to us staying another couple of seasons, our son is now 7 year old and our other son who is 8 also expressed that he wanted to join, so we had him join too! It was a great experience for both of them to experience together in which they will remember forever. They both showed their personality at the show which was also encouraged by Mr.Cruz. To add, I had the experience to volunteer in the backstage multiple times in the show. I could not be more impressed on how the backstage was run by Mr.Cruz. I heard encouraging words and really showed his passion to put on a great show to showcase the talent the he believed these performers have. I have expressed feedback to him, and he respected them and made changes when necessary. We thank Mr.Cruz for his passion in dance and for being part of the Brentwood community. read more

So unprofessional! They don't have a number listed to contact them and there's no way to get into the building. Signed up for an intro class never got a confirmation... just a text 10mins before it started rushed there no way in and no one to contact. Waste of time. Would not be coming back. read more

A friend of mine asked for me to join her one evening for a women's adult hip hop class. I grew up dancing but as a busy single mom found it difficult to keep up with my passion for dance. I loved my trial class and decided to sign up! I am now apart of a performing specialty group of 5 women called, "Chic" and I am excited to grow in my dancing skill. I would highly recommend The Women of The Vault Dance Company for anyone 21+ that has a desire to "Level Up" their dancing abilities. There are also master classes and various age groups for children. Mr Cruz is a highly skilled professional dancer and owner of TVDC (The Vault Dance Company) who truly wants to have each of his dancers grow to their full potential! read more

After the 2019 lockdown and the 2020 continuity of ups and downs I started finding myself feeling a bit down and I decided to find a dance place to bring back my joyful self. I looked through various dance studios and gave The Vault Dance a try (The women of TVDC). It is absolutely EVERYTHING I hoped it would be and more. Rocking the dance floor with a group of women who love dancing as much as you do is the most empowering and amazing experience! Cruz, the owner/dance couch, is so welcoming and dedicated to his studio and students! He shows you the choreography step by step and answers all questions with a smile. Cruz makes dancing easy and fun! After every Monday class I come home with a big smile on my face I could rave forever about this place, but you have to try it so you understand what I mean!! there's a free trial class Highly recommend it read more

My daughter is going on her third season with this dance company. I would like to report that I have been pleased with this dance company and they have exceeded my expectations. Mr. Cruz makes it easy to communicate, he is meticulous, caring, great sense of humor and genuinely wants the kids to succeed in their future goals. He teaches much more then dance to the kids, which I appreciate as a parent, he teaches them responsibility, work ethics, dance etiquette and to be inclusive. You will see improvements almost immediately in your child's dancing capabilities. It has been pretty amazing to watch my daughters growth. I highly recommend TVDC! read more

I'm thoroughly impressed with this young and talented dance teacher, choreographer, fashion designer, Cruz Conde. Who can say at 18 yrs old that they own their own dance company/studio? He teaches a variety of dance styles and has his students perform in a theatre. He gives lessons to children, teens, and adults. We attended a performance in which he contributed in creating: the set, the lights, the tickets sales, advertising, choreography, as well as performing himself on the show and hosting it. My favorite part of the performance was the dance battle. He has a great support group that helps bring his ideas to fruition. His Mother is his biggest fan and I enjoyed seeing them perform together. I'm so impressed at her strength and being Cruz's biggest motivator as a single parent. Being a dancer, I remember the discipline it took for myself and my teachers. Dancing isn't for the lazy, only the strong. You don't just learn dance lessons here. You learn how important it is to make your dreams come true. As a parent, you also value the example of his Mother who encouraged Cruz to live his dreams which is what every parent should encourage. Happy 1st year anniversary TVDC!!! read more

As someone who grew up dancing and having such a love and passion for tap dancing it is so awesome to have this local Studio to be able to go once a month and learn new choreography and work out one on one with Cruz. Cruz is very talented when it comes to putting together choreography and his musicality makes his pieces that much better! It's a clean, Open floor Space, with a nice sound system and great lighting! It makes the whole experience so much fun! read more

What an AMAZING show! I took my 8&9 year old daughters to see TVDC's Unbreak My Heart show after seeing it on my IG. WOW! JUST WOW! We loved everything about this show! The nostalgic feeling from the R&B songs in the very beginning, making you sway in your chair, to the amazing dancers telling a beautiful story about self discovery...the entire experience was amazing! My daughters and I left there in awe, and now they're even more excited to do classes with Mr. Cruz and TVDC! read more

Didn't like the way the owner handled anything. Very unprofessional the worst dance studio I have ever seen. Definitely wouldn't recommend this studio to anyone. ***Update*** This goes to show just how much you don't know about students or your clientele. My daughter was in your hip hop class and has her own name, not mine you genius. I got in contact with you multiple times and every time you were very unprofessional and rude. We have since moved to another dance studio and love it and will be recommending all our friends do the same. I would absolutely never recommend this dance studio EVER. read more

Our son has been with TVDC since it first opened and it has had a profound and positive impact on his development. His self-discipline and confidence have improved dramatically in his time with the studio. He has learned what it means to commit and to see things through (both for short and long term goals). Cruz (owner) demands a lot from his students, but the reward is worth the commitment in our opinions. Like any good teacher, Cruz cares about his students and truly wants what is best for them. We are firm believers that you will get out more than what you put into something, so we are in favor if teachers and coaches holding our kids accountable for their actions and effort. There are mandatory obligations, and standards to be maintained, but I would liken the commitment level to something like a travel league for soccer or baseball. We strongly recommend this studio if you are okay with your child being pushed for effort, and can handle the commitment of 1-2 mandatory sessions per week, along with a few mandatory monthly activities. it is an imperfect organization, as is every organization we've ever been part of. With that said, our son has grown significantly as a dancer and, more importantly, as a person. The studio does host a lot of drop-sessions and opportunities for dancers to start in the middle of the year. It's definitely worth a drop-in session if you're looking for a new studio. I personally, am part of the Women's TVDC group, and I LOVE it! It builds confidence, strong relationships with other women who also love to dance, and Cruz makes us feel fearless while teaching us great routines! read more

The Vault Dance Co is giving BOOM-BOOM-KAT in the best possible way - and I'm here for it honey. The production I witnessed last night was nothing short of a masterful expression of art. I'm thoroughly impressed with Choreographer, Producer and Director Cruz's passion and presence. This dance company is a little treasure and pleasant surprise to find in such a small town. I will absolutely be checking The Vault's calendar for future shows, such a wholesome way to spend an evening and support local businesses. Excellent performance from the young dancers as well. read more

If I could give a review of a zero I would. This is the worst dance studio with the most unprofessional owner (Cruz Conde) and co-owner or as he would like to call her Coco (Nicole Conde) his mother, also owner of Tres Jolie salon. They will tell you that you are "not part of a team but rather an individual working to make a group task get done," also known as team. When things go wrong, expect to be blamed and to receive nasty email's due to lack of communication and unprofessionalism, as well as your child being sold an unrealistic dream. For example, when the company had a group trip planned to attend Disney World's Dance the magic and was cancelled due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, his response was to "just hold off and let the children forget about it." Coming from someone who considers themselves a professional and owner of the dance company this is completely the wrong way to go about it. Then to tell all parents that it will be their responsibility to tell the children that the trip was cancelled. After him being the one who dreamed up the trip. How dare he hide behind parents like a coward and not have the decency to tell his dance students that the trip was cancelled, but instead continues to lie to them and hype them up for a trip he already knew was cancelled. Clearly, this is someone who has no children and no experience with them considering he was selling this dream to children ages 5-15years of age. They are so quick to take your money, yet when it comes time to communicate about any issues or questions the parent has, it always comes down to having "no time to converse, but rather to remove the dancer." They will not refund you your money when you have chosen to no longer be apart of their company even after you have paid for costumes and private lessons in full. If you're looking for a place for your child/children to make friends and find an enjoyable place to dance at, this is definitely not the place for you. You will not be allowed or permitted to speak, or express yourself with any other parent- it is totally unacceptable, and don't even think you can come to either of them, Cruz nor his mother Nicole because they refuse to discuss anything that conflicts with their thoughts. They say there is no bullying or bad mouthing, yet that is all both him and his mother do and when something does not go his way he not only hides behind his contract, but behind his mother as well by having her send his e-mails and constantly threatening the children with expulsions. Should you be interested in finding a dance studio for your child, this is not the place to attend. I advise that you place your money into a professional establishment that has been around and knows how to work with children and parents. **Update** Cruz, I made several attempts to talk to you, so please do not act like this was not the case. We were waiting for our full refund before pulling her out. For the record I was not expecting you to tell the entire studio, but rather those who you knew would be attending as I stated in my emails that we were here to work with you and inform the children that you had nothing to do with the cancellation of the trip but to not ultimately leave on the parents. How others reacted in response is out of my control and I also stated that you should have reached out to them had you felt that it was that serious The same way you have called my phone after normal business hours, you should have called me rather than email me. Also, reach out to the person who made the statements that upset you or others, because we did nothing wrong besides let you know that we could not control others as well as following all protocols whether we agreed with them or not. So if you feel the need to clear the air I'd be more than happy to discuss this matter with you. read more

The Vault Dance Company Dance can have a tremendous impact on your overall flexibility, strength, endurance level, and emotional well-being. Dancing encourages teamwork, self expression and creativity. Dancing is not a for the faint of heart or uncommitted. Dancing is a physically demanding discipline. I have had the privilege of knowing the choreographer and instructor Cruz Conde most of his life. I have watched as he reached for one dream after another and achieved them all. Cruz has experience in theater, voice and many forms of dance. His latest achievement TVDC is where his passion lies and he has put together some brilliant productions. I have attended some of them and have been very impressed by the professional feel of each production. Cruz pays great attention to every detail, the precision of the dancers, the choreography, the music, the lighting, the costumes and even the swag. I left each production with a new appreciation of Hip Hop and Cruz. It was great to watch his students express themselves through this high energy form of dance. I truly admire this young entrepreneurs insight and creative ability. Cruz has created a business model that provides physical, developmental and artistic benefits to the student. One important reason Cruz and his dance unit are successful is his love of the art and his students. We all teach what we love with more passion and commitment. Karen Spann read more

I very much enjoyed the young dancer's performance and the location of the performance. However as a relative of one of the dancers, I would say Mr. Cruz Conde, has much to be desired as both a mentor and business owner. His immaturity when it comes to the young performers is appalling. He lacks direction and prudence when it comes to promoting team camaraderie, fairness, and teamwork. His style of instruction/teaching seems to be by way of intimidation, humiliation and judgment and disparate treatment of the young performers. With the many dance studios to chose from, I would seek a less hostile environment for my child. read more
