On October 9th, 2025, I and my wife went to the UPS Store (#2339) located in the Belvedere Park Plaza at 6847 N. 9th Ave. (Ste. A, Pensacola, Florida, 32504). I and my wife were shocked and sickened when we were charged by UPS Store an ungodly $253.26 to mail a standard sized letter to Guam, where the recipient is required to sign for the letter to prove we sent it. They were notarized documents for a bank, for which we paid $20 for the notary, which is fine. But to charge customers $253.26 when Guam is a U.S. territory and observes standard U.S. Postal rates, is inexcusable. We asked the employee (#315851) at the UPS Store in our disbelief if the U.S. Postal Service charges the same insane $253.26 rate, and he confirmed that "it's about the same." Well, after we left the UPS Store we felt taken advantage of horribly and that something was very wrong, so we called the U.S. Postal Service and were told that it only costs $12 to $13 to mail a letter with return signature to Guam from Pensacola, Florida. We still can't believe that UPS charged us $253.26 for something that only costs $12 to 13 at the U.S. Postal Service. Whether the employee at the UPS Store intended to do it or not, he horribly lied to and misled us. No doubt UPS in their own thinking have good reasons for charging what they do, but we are just common folks living on a limited budget. The notarized documents that we mailed could have been easily replaced if lost, and we didn't ask for any special protection, we just wanted the letter sent and signed for by the recipient. Thankfully, we didn't wait too long to complain, so they still had our envelope at the UPS Store. The store agreed to refund our $253.26 and then we took the envelope to the U.S. Post Office instead, where they charged us $13.35 to mail our documents to Guam, with required signature of the recipient. The UPS Store horribly overcharged us $239.91, which is so unethical and disgusting. There should be a law against gouging people financially! I'm just glad that we had the wisdom to double check to see if the UPS Store had overcharged us, and sure enough, they did big time! We have a whole new perception of the UPS Store, and it is not a good one. If this is how they mistreat and financially take advantage of their customers, then we won't be mailing anything with them in the future. There's absolutely no justifiable excuse for this type of greedy abuse. Shame on the UPS Store! read more

Our regular postal business doesn't accept UPS anymore so this is now the location where we found we can post UPS packages. It's kinda hidden in a strip mall but it's a decent little postal shop with good customer service. Will Return. read more

After trying to track a return package, I was told by a very nice and helpful associate that the tracking number was the old tracking number and that the employe who scaned it, scanned the wrong number into the system and that ups had the package and I wouldn't be able to locate it without the new tracking number. So they made a mistake and said they couldn't help me. Then the female manager (who wasn't in the conversation with us) started acting like a troll and yelled at us for tying up her employe with a discussion about there MISTAKE (and our lost package) and to move on. When the manager was weighing my parcel (I had 3 separate letters), he put all 3 letters on the scale instead of 1 3 separate times so I would be charged more. I then refused to pay the higher price and and he then withheld the unmailed letters behind the desk and refused to give them back to me, saying "I need to pay the rent." No one is obligated to pay especially concerning a fraudulent billing attempt with inaccurate weight of the parcel assessed. This UPS store is always clean, organized and well-managed. When you walk in the door, they look like they're happy to see you and step up to the counter to greet you, and it's almost as if they can't wait to help you! What a pleasant experience, especially nowadays that is hard to find. I shipped two packages the same day one went post office, first class priority mail and the other one using UPS. The UPS package got to its destination first within two days. The Post Office priority mail is supposed to be 2-3 days. It took four. That says a lot. read more

I came in to bring in an Amazon return. When I go to the UPS on Nine Mile they usually just have me pull up the barcode and they scan it and then they take the box and I'm on my way. Nine Mike us ALWAYS SUPER HELPFUL. I came to this location because it was close to work. Today at this particular UPS the girl gave me a very dirty look and said I can't take that like that because I didn't have the label on the box. And she said I don't know what they do over there but you're gonna have to go back to them because we don't have that kind of let capability in here. Have been here a few times, typical type shipping store. Never really busy. Went in today and the guy behind the counter finally came out, and was on the phone. Proceeded to tell me to put my package on the scale, in fact said it a few times. He ended his call and then asked me rudely for my AT&T account number at which point I told him his customer service skills were not good. He proceeded to yell at me to tell me he was the only one there (I was the only customer too) and that he sends back at least six AT&T systems a day and that if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. I grabbed my two boxes told him his customer service really sucks and departed. I figured this clown was probably the owner and its not my fault he is the only one there or that he is having a bad day. Went to the UPS Store on Cervantes and got excellent assistance. read more

Funny reading this review from back in 2013, I wish I'd seen in before I ever entered this store. I mailed a package out of state back in March, inside that package was a money order. I explained to the guy behind the counter that it was a time sensitive package and that I needed it at it's destination by a certain day. He assured me that wasn't a problem, so I paid and left. The day after the package was due to arrive I still hadn't heard from the party I was sending it to, so I decided to "track" my package and low and behold UPS lost it! When I FINALLY get a person on the line I'm told they will open an investigation and it will take up to 10 days. I'm pretty upset but ask what will happen at the end of their investigation and am told they will file a claim on my package. Needless to say I contacted the money order company myself and stopped payment on the original which cost me money, had to go to my bank get a cashiers check and mailed this one from the post office which cost me more money but hey it got there "ON TIME" the next day. So now I'm waiting for their investigation to be done and then when they file the claim, the b..tards actually denied the claim. Why because first he didn't insure my package, didn't even ask if I wanted to, but more importantly they don't mail cash and money orders are considered cash. ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS! I mean ...why is it not possible to give NEGATIVE ratings? I DID NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I called the phone number and I got someone I could not understand. All I wanted to know was how much it would cost for them to pack (2) radios. It took like 10 minutes for the guy to even understand what I wanted to know. Then he had NO IDEA. He gave me a quote of $26. I mean SERIOUSLY ...this guy said they charge $26 to put (2) radios in a box and tape it shut. I really like to think I'm an intelligent person but people like him make me feel stupid. I didn't have a box and that's why I called. But ...$26 to put (2) radios in a box and tape it shut? Completely agree w/previous reviews prior to June 2014 as they were correct! However, the UPS Store on 9th avenue is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT with a NEW OWNER ~ YEA!!! Looks and SMELLS like a new store! More options for UPS customers living in NE Pensacola! read more
