Turning Point is one of the churches where the pastor has people turn around and wander around a bit after Praise and Worship songs to go say hi and shake hands and stuff. The music is good, the pastor is engaging and has 3 screens behind him showing all of the bible scriptures that he references. We met a few people that were quite friendly. This is a larger church with a small church feel. We definitely enjoyed the service and all of the activities offered.

I noticed they had some cute decor up from their Texas Celebration. Recently, they added cards in the Restroom to help you team up with some resources that will help you with life. Such a thoughtful idea. Something that stood out for me when I went to Church was part of the sermon where he spoke about being careful about our actions. Sometimes are conversations are not so innocent. There hurtful. Kindly and gently correct that person, continue to pray for that person but consider hanging out with another group of people because, the Bible says, Walk with the wise become like the wise. Proverbs 13:20 Well, I'm so thankful for my Church. They love on people and really try to help them with their walk in Christ. My friend from Southern Seminary invited me to come to First Baptist Burleson. It was such a…read morepleasant experience. I will tell you how the spirit of the Lord moved. First of all, The church is made up with volunteers who use their gifts, the Lord blessed them with. They were very friendly, accepting and welcoming. I chose to attend the contemporary service. Iam so glad I did. The worship songs seemed to be the popular songs. Songs you might hear on Air1 radio, Wayfm, or Klty. The songs were definitely centered around Christ, Amen. The sound is so crisp and clear and the female worship leader had a great voice as well. I did not want to attend Bible Study because, those can be awkward. Lol. However,The Lord had another plan for me. I was walking down the hallway and received an invite to attend a Bible study for Singles and Married Couples so, I walked in with the person that invited me. It was a really good experience. It was a classroom setting. We began with prayer requests, updates and praise reports. Then discussed John 15:18 NLT. If the world hates you, remember they hated me first. In other words, God is preparing us for the challenges we will face because we love and serve him.This class taught me a few things. Some times bad things happen but, we know how to handle it in the future. It's important that we prepare for what's coming. In life there are no easy answers but, right answers. God is the TRUTH the light and the way. John 14:6 News Flash: Do you make Jesus fit where you think he should be? Are you living a life in such a way people know Jesus? Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. We have the freedom to do what we want and not do. We have to determine how we are going to live for Christ. God will provide away out. A way out of hell. That's accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Have you made him your Savior? Maybe you, were on here looking for the next best restaurant, a winery nearby or a house keeping service. However, I believe God wants you to commit to him. If you have not given your life to him. Please, invite him into your life by saying, I repent of my sins, come into my heart and I make you my Lord and Savior. If you missed church today, you definitely got your dose here. Lol. If your ever on the Burleson area you should check this church out. You will love the hospital it's, worship, music and Bible study. I highly recommend it.

Someone told us the Music director was a volunteer until they had a new person in place, but he did a great job. They should keep him! The young man preaching was not the regular lead pastor but we really enjoyed the message/sermon. I think they said he taught an adult class at the church and had grown up at that church. We were invited to stay for a class but did not stay. I am sure we will be back again after we visit a couple of other area churches with traditional services.
