We've been seeing this on our way to Tagaytay. We were intrigued by their ad claiming to serve Balinese food so we have it a try. I was a little skeptical as we browsed through the menu as they have very little offerings that truly is Balinese. I've seen Caesar salad, honey mustard salad, Crab Rangoon, spring rolls, Pasta, and some other that you really cannot claim to be Balinese. So we just stuck to the dishes that we were curious about. There were 4 of us and we thought we could bring some doggie bags home should it not meet our expectations. We were surprised to hear they have beer tasting. That was novel! I am not a beer drinker myself but I am glad they have flavored beers that I actually liked, I.e mango and strawberry flavored. After enjoying the beer tasting we opted to stay outdoors to enjoy the cool breeze that Tagaytay boasts of. Then our orders came. The servings were generous! No false advertising here! We started with the honey mustard salad which did not disappoint. The veggies were fresh and the dressing had just the right amount of sweet and tangy. Then came the tofu sisig. This was superb! The tofu had a silken and light texture that was pleasing to the tongue. Then came the nasi goreng. Sans the egg, still brought me back to our trip to Bali. The TU Oriental Chicken was very flavorful and moist that became our favorite of the lot. The Crispy Pork Belly, which is really lechon kawali, though not Balinese, did not disappoint either. The smoked beef brisket was also flavorful, but not as tender as I was expecting it to be. Again, not Balinese but not bad. The restaurant itself was cozy. We went on a Saturday and enjoyed live music. They even had open mic. Though the expectation of having a full Balinese experience was not met, I still gave it a 5 because of the overall experience. Also, the wait staff were very pleasant, attentive abd accommodating. I would just suggest adding a little more Balinese dishes such as satay, bebek and babi guling just to be true to the advertised "Balinese cuisine" read more
