The Tribune Hotel in Rome was an excellent choice for our family trip to the Eternal City. The location is technically centrally situated but not quite walkable to major sites if you have young kids. I did notice the nearby metro stop--just a block away--makes it very convenient, though we opt to take taxi everywhere for the convenience. It's also perfectly positioned for a visit to the Borghese Garden, which we loved exploring on the electric tandem bike ride.
As Hyatt Globalist, I particularly appreciated the complimentary breakfast. The combination of buffet offerings and à la carte options provided plenty of variety. The soft-boiled eggs were a standout, and our daily cappuccinos made for a perfect start to the mornings. The staff were incredibly friendly and always eager to serve,
Also a huge shout out to the front desk for securing us taxis within minutes every day.when we came down to the lobby.
A special highlight of our stay was when the hotel staff brought small teddy bears for our kids. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and our children absolutely loved them--they ended up sleeping with the bears every night. Little touches like this truly set the Tribune apart and made our stay extra memorable.
One note for travelers: the €15 city tax is not waived, even on award bookings, which was surprising compared to other destinations we've visited worldwide. Additionally, there was a minor hiccup when we arrived--the elevator was out of service, and as there's only one elevator, it meant we had to wait for our luggage to be brought up later. It wasn't a major issue for us, but it's something to consider if accessibility is a concern.
We were able to reserve a suite for our family of four. While not a true suite with a closed door to a private bedroom, the room provided sufficient space for all of us to be comfortable.
Overall, The Tribune Hotel delivered an excellent stay. Between its convenient location, exceptional breakfast, warm staff, and thoughtful touches, it made our visit to Rome truly memorable. read more
