Finding someone to trim the Mulberry tree in our backyard has proven to be surprisingly difficult over the years. That was until we contacted The Tree Guy Jonathan. He gave us a very reasonable quote and scheduled a date. Jonathan's crew did a fantastic job. They were friendly and left the yard cleaner than they found it. I highly recommend The Tree Guy. read more

I called Jon, we spoke and I texted him some photos of my palms and trees. He sent me back a quote within a few minutes. Everything was fair and he had a crew at my house on a Saturday. Dwayne and the guys were fast, efficient and the job was done to perfection. The same exact trees were quoted double from another company. You will be super happy with Jon and his guys! They have a customer for life! read more

I see why the company has five stars! Jonathan was easy to coordinate with, his prices are competitive, and his workers are professional and do great work. They trimmed 6 huge palm trees for us and cleaned up and did wonderful work. They look so much better! read more

Had large stumps grinded down. Great customer service from Jonathan and his team got the job done!

The Tree Guy is great. Jonathan came over and gave us a quick estimate. We were very impressed with his tree knowledge. He had us wait a month to schedule the tree trimming so it would cause the least amount of harm to the tree. When the time came his crew were very professional and did a fantastic job with a super clean up afterwards. 100% would recommend. read more

The owner strikes me as a true arborist. The workmanship of his team pleasantly surprised me. After removing a tree and grinding the stump, the ground was so smoothly leveled I could not tell a tree had been there (pushing up against a retaining wall, no less). It will be an easy decision on who to call the next time we need a tree removed, pruned, shaped or treated. read more

I sent a few quotes on yelp to tree services companies to cut trees that were overhanging from my neighbors yard. I was concerned that it would be very costly. Jonathon came out and gave me a great estimate comparative to the other companies that came out. His crew is fast and efficient and hauled a ton of branches out. They even cleaned the remainder of debris afterwards which has always been a pet peeve of mine from any vendor. Affordable, great quality, and an honest company. What more could you ask for. I will be using The Tree Guy again from here on out. read more

I chose The Tree Guy, based upon his Yelp rating. A large tree, which had begun to damage our roof, needed both removal, and its root system ground down. Jonathan from The Tree Guy was great, and offered an estimate much lower than all other tree companies. He was very responsive, professional and a great sense of humor. His team was polite, efficient, very pleasant and thorough. Their work was excellent, and there were no issues. They also left our area very clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for tree services. read more

Jon and his crew are the best! Showed up on time and went over everything before starting the job. His crew checked with me a few times to make sure it was exactly how we wanted our tree to look. They removed a bush and tree as well. They cleaned up really well too. The best crew and price. read more

Just had a job done by The Tree Guy, and I will hire him for all my future trees. I'm a tree hugger, with many mature trees on my property. After the last wild storms I had some very large Ash trees that run along the street, that didn't fair very well. :( i was really concerned whomever took care of my trees left them looking natural, while making sure they had healthy future growth. I called several trimmers based on reviews. Jonathan was by far the best choice...quick to respond, showed up when he said he would, very knowledgeable, gave a quote on site and immediately sent it to my email, answered all my anxious questions about my beloved trees, my trees look beautiful, and he handled the traffic on my street without a problem. was half the price of the other tree trimmers I had to hassle to show up, if they showed up at all. Highly recommend! read more

These guy's are real pro's. Jonathan provided a timely, detailed and competitive estimate including their insurance policy coverage which few provide. The hardworking crew did a beautiful job trimming and shaping our Magnolia trees and our two citrus trees to sound horticulture standards. They also did an excellent job with the clean up when they finished. Would recommend them without any hesitation. read more

Jonathan was a man of his word. The crew showed up on time and trimmed and removed trees. The chipper showed up five minutes after the all the brush was put into the street. Good job. read more

Called Monday, Jonathan came over and provide estimate Wednesday, and trees were DONE on Friday. As other reviews have indicated, Jonathan is very straightforward and honest. I had a number in mind and the estimate was right in line with what I was anticipating as a fair price. His crew was courteous, efficient, and did an amazing job trimming the huge unruly pepper trees and eucalyptus in my yard. They also did a great job cleaning up and even chopped up some eucalyptus for me to use in my fire pit. Thanks guys! read more

Once again The Tree Guy crew came to trim the huge Canary Island Pines in my front yard. They did an amazing job in a short period of time. Neighbors and workers on a nearby house were complimenting the trees. I'm happy that they did such a nice cleaning after it was all done. One worker noticed a tile on the roof was broken ( which I don't think they broke ) and I was lucky to have a spare tile which he replaced. Feeling better should those high winds come again this year. read more

Jonathan was very professional and easy to deal with. They cut our tree correctly and cleaned everything up after. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We just had our palm trees trimmed again by this service. Jonathan, the owner, had come by a couple of weeks ago to give us an estimate. Today, he came by as scheduled His workers were efficient and worked hard to get the job done. They did a fantastic job. They cleaned up the surrounding area so no debris was left behind. I would highly recommend this service as the results are excellent. Thank you Jonathan. read more

I was very satisfied with their service. They were efficient and thorough. The price was very fair. Jonathan was always responsive to my questions and has an especially kind personality. I have recommended them to a few of my neighbors who I hope hire them. Duane who was the supervisor on the job was knowledgeable about the task at hand and very polite. Many thanks to The Tree Guy and staff. read more

The Tree Guy and team did an excellent job trimming our Queen Palm trees. They were very professional, using a lift to get up right next to the branches they were trimming. They worked hard as a team efficiently trimming, putting debris in the chipper, and carefully cleaning up before they left. Our trees look beautiful! We also value that Jonathan is licensed and insured. So many other tree companies I've called are not. And, Jonathan and Duane are nice, honest people. read more

"The Tree GuY" removed a tree from my yard that was basically a "weed" sprouting itself in bushels everywhere in my yard. No matter how much I tried to kill the new sprouts, they spread like wildfire. This tree would have taken over my whole yard eventually. The tree guy came out for a consult within 48 hours after I called and gave me such a great quote I didn't bother getting a second because I knew off the bat the cost was so good I would never find anyone to do it cheaper!! They came out less than a week later and removed the tree/stump within a couple hours and left my yard impeccably clean! It's been over 6 months and I haven't seen any regrowth which was my biggest concern!! Hands down if you need tree removal or maintenance services go with this company!!! Probably the only place I've ever worked with that was not only almost to easy to be true, but I didn't have one single complaint!! Don't look elsewhere!!!!! read more

It's so tough to rate reviews from random people. After reading many reviews, I chose this tree trimmer. Jonathon was prompt for the initial appointment, his quote was fair, and he described exactly what would be done. The staff showed up on time, Jonathon gave them direction, and immediately began working. I had 3 neglected queen palms that needed the dead fronds cut and the older cut fronds shucked from the trunk. I also had a runaway ficus tree that was encroaching on both my roof and the neighbors. The palms are now all cleaned up and the ficus looks like it had a bout with Edward Scissorhands. They are all absolutely perfect! The work was done with no damage to the succulent garden below the palms and the clean up was stellar! When I paid for the work, I told Jonathon that I will be calling him next year for a tune up. I'm happy I chose The Tree Guy and gladly recommend his business. read more

Jon and his crew were AWESOME! I was referred by our realtors as he was their guy. Jon came out provided a very reasonable quote and was able to schedule his team to come out the following week. We had three very invasive plants that grew some serious roots and stumps that were beyond our abilities. His guys showed up on time and erased those plants from the face of the earth. It was amazing to watch. They even fixed a sprinkler that was broken due to the roots growing around it. We warned them about the possibility and said not to worry about it if it did happen. That was beyond my expectations and greatly appreciated. I can not recommend these guys enough. Friendly, hard working, and cleaned up before they left. Thank you Jon! read more

The owner is a great guy, super attentive and he has an awesome team. They went above and beyond and did a great job. Not the cheapest service but you get what you pay for. Very much recommend. We had two large trees we needed to remove. Reached out based on the reviews here. Very responsive, professional. Jonathon, The Tree Guy, is absolutely the best! Hands down, go with The Tree Guy. We had the most challenging job, a Santa Susana Knolls, rocky, slippery, steep hillside lot, loaded in poison oak, accessed only by a winding narrow rutted dirt road, no turn about for a truck, more suitable for an ATV. Jonathan's driver managed to back one of their smaller trucks up a half mile of narrow track, more winding deer path than road to access the hillside property site. Because Jonathan had options in truck size and an expert driver, thousands of dollars were saved by eliminating extra labor, loading, hauling costs. We've worked with Jonathan several times now and we are always impressed with his business and ethic. read more

I did not actually have The Tree Guy come out to do any work but I talked to John. We played phone tag a little but he promptly returned my calls. I asked him to come out and evaluate some trees and possibly trim them. From my request he said that he would be happy to come out but he may not be the best person to answer my questions. He gave me a referral to another company that may be more suited to help me. It is rare to have that type of honesty. He could have easily came out, made some money, and been on his way. Instead he did what was best for the customer with no gain of his own. I'll contact again when I need some trees trimmed. -Joel read more

The Tree Guy was recommended to me by a friend. I called and was delighted to hear back from Jonathan right away. Inspection was rapid, estimate given, and scheduled for the following week. The crew came and did a fabulous job on my super-tall palm trees and junipers. Crews were working front and back at the same time. They were done in 45 minutes. They hauled everything away and even raked my garden of all the pods that had been dropping! I was thrilled with their work and will definitely recommend them to others. read more

Was very pleased with the work Jonathan's team performed. They (Duane, Merced and Margarito) removed a tree and thinned a few others that had entangled the power/communication lines. Additionally, they thinned some oaks which were growing above the house. I feel reassured (from a fire safety and storm damage point of view) that some of the risk above the roof has been minimized while the aesthetic beauty of the trees has been greatly enhanced. Overall, the price was fair, and the quality of the work was top notch. read more

The owner is very responsive and has a fantastic crew. We had a huge elm tree in our back yard that was creating issues with the concrete. They had it down in no time and ground the stump down. Can't even tell there was a tree there! read more

Speedy and very helpful. We booked two months in advance and the owner was in communication the whole time. Thanks!

The overwhelmingly positive Yelp reviews led us to The Tree Guy and it was actually a pleasure talking to Jonathan and getting an immediate price quote to remove a large tree in the back yard that was starting to cause damage. They were flexible with scheduling and the five-man crew did an amazing job of removing the tree, including large limbs overhanging the neighbor's yard. They finished by grinding the stump and leaving everything clean. Not only that, but they did all this within two hours - including a lunch break! I only wish it wasn't such a rare experience to find and work with such a professional organization. If you need a tree removed, I don't think you'll regret calling The Tree Guy. read more
