Traveler's Choice run day trips throughout the year from Barrow-in-Furness, in my area. These are quite reasonably priced. The drivers are always pleasant, and earn their tips by being helpful with anyone who has extra problems.
Last year I went with them up the Cumbria coast, across to Keswick and down along the lakes for £8.50. They have a booklet of the years trips which a local tourist information office will send on request. read more
