Meet the Business Owner: Audrey M.

Audrey started making homemade wines in 2012 after learning about the process from a home winemaking club presentation. Soon after she bought equipment to make a batch and never looked back. At first, she made wine as gifts for family and friends for weddings, Christmas, housewarming gifts, etc., and soon people were begging to be able to buy them. She began looking into the permitting process to open a winery. To boost her confidence that her wines had retail viability, she started entering some wines into wine competitions to get professional feedback. The first two wines entered won silver and bronze medals from the Winemaker Magazine Amateur Competition. Six of 7 wines entered into the Indy International Competition in earned medals, including one gold. Confidence boosted, a location was found for the winery, permits applications were filed and equipment ordered. 5 months later, the first wines started fermenting in late October 2016.
