It felt like there had been a party, and no one cleaned up. 4 out of 4 of us also were not impressed with the food or customer service. Came on a Saturday night, a dj was bumping hot jams on their patio, thankfully plenty of fans are on site to battle these Texas summer nights. Staff is super helpful and friendly. We were so excited to try this place as it is semi-new to Leander. We ordered to go, got there a little early to pick it up but they seemed to get the food out at the time that was mentioned. Both orders of chicken tenders were obviously over cooked, the bbq tenders even smelt burnt. The chicken wings however were pretty good, I got the least hottest sauce listed on the menu and my mouth was on FIRE. Our fried pickles were not crispy whatsoever, the breading was pretty soggy. The fries were decent, they just needed a little more crispness. In conclusion I think the food would be average on a good day, but it's overpriced and just not worth going back for. $70 for 5 people to eat without drinks. read more

I was super excited to try this place. I always share their FB post to support local businesses. I was very disappointed. I'm giving 3* due to cost of food, parking, overall experience. We got 4 chicken tenders, pickles for $34.00 with tip. That is excessive $$$ especially when you place your order at the counter and they call your name to pick it up. The pickles were good 4*, the chicken tenders 3* we got parmesan it had some weird crust that did not taste like anything we ordered. Also they charge you .75 cents for a small container of ranch that is worth maybe .25 cents. You get a can of soda no ice so when sitting outside it gets hot quickly. Nice shaded area but fans were not on so it was really hot because it was over 100 in TX. Maybe if I had tried the wings I would have liked it better. Bottom line I won't be back. read more

Had to try it even though I don't normally eat chicken wings! Wine based generally don't taste good to me, so I was less than enthusiastic when I found out all their margaritas are wine based but I was assured the daiquiri was not and it did not taste like it was. I had a coupon for the fried pickles so they were obviously one of my choices, I was offered either ranch dressing or their special dipping sauce ...which the young lady equated as similar to 1000 Island Dressing. I ordered five chicken wings -since I don't eat wings I'm not sure if this is standard but in my opinion they were half wings not full wings. They were coated with plenty of Parmesan and Garlic so I should not have to fear werewolves for months to come. Pretty darn tasty. Not sure if I the cost vs the wings was average, however, I ended up not eating half the meal as I was already full. The wings came with a full order of what I would call their swirly cut home sliced fries. (Kind of round like they came off an apple peeler.)/they were really good in the ranch dressing -which tasted home-made. Their special sauce was homemade -but other than the color, I did not feel it was thousand Island based at all. There was no sweet pickle in it and it was not as zippy as it could have been-it was good. Although this was my cheat day this was a lot and I guess since I really didn't feel like I ate that much it must've been all the fat and the type of food I ate that filled me up. I ate two fried dill pickle spears and dipped them alternately in the Special sauce versus the Ranch and as I mentioned both were good. The wings were coated heavily with Parmesan and Garlic. My personal preference probably would've been a little lighter -however since I really don't eat wings I'm not the best person to talk about that. They were half wings so I had a couple of piecesof mini drums and 3 wing sections. I took a photo of my receipt. The plan was to dine out at the New The Thirsty Chicken. Sit back and relax with a daiquiri and chicken wings. That plan changed based on a bus of Seniors pulled in shortly before I did. The line was long but moved fairly quickly. I could have squeezed in on the covered outdoor patio but decided to relax at home with just the chicken wings. First the parking is limited with only six spaces in front, that is if everyone parked correctly. And parking is uphill. There are six brightly colored picnic tables in front when the weather is nice. This is where I sat waiting for my take out. When I walked in the place was packed. It is not very big. A couple of tables to the left, a beverage standup fridge. To the right is the entry/exit to the patio, and straight ahead was the order counter. It appeared that three people were taking orders, then the customer paid and was given a beeper and off they went to find a seat. Please note the chicken and fries are cooked to order so do not expect the food out immediately. Good food is worth waiting for. Finally my turn. I ask for The Chick (5 pieces of wings) in a bird bath of The Fowl Chicken (garlic parmesan). They are creative with the food names. This is where it gets good. I have to pick a Big Dipper. So I ask what their house sauce taste like. My order taker has a panic look on her face so she asks another lady. This lady must be one of the owners. She says Alex (At least I think that was his name) created it so ask him. Alex turns and starts to explain but not really. It is a mix of a few different things. There you go people, 3 people and I still have no idea what it tastes like. So being the Crazy Lady that I am, I said okay I will try it. Then I asked Alex if he created it when he was drunk. He gave me a big smile and nodded his head yes. How can you go wrong with that. I paid then headed out to wait. If I had to guess, it was about 15 minutes. Actually not long for fresh food. Get my packaged food and head home. Alex was a sweetheart and threw in a container of their homemade ranch sauce too. I guess in case I didn't like the House sauce. I try the uniquely shaped fries first and dip it in the house sauce. My eyes opened wide, I was impressed. I try the fry without the sauce and it is crispy on the outside and soft and tender inside, just seasoned with salt and pepper. It is better with the sauce. Onto the chicken, I take a bite. Now I have had garlic parmesan before but nothing like this. Again I am impressed. I try the chicken with the house sauce, I like it better without sauce. In case you are wondering what the sauce taste like.... I have a pretty good guess what it is made of. Let us just say, I like the dominate mustard taste. Definitely worth a try. I mustn't forget the homemade ranch sauce. Again another winner. Sorry Alex, I will be coming back to see you. Not because the house sauce was bad. Quite the opposite, the sauce and chicken were outstanding and I will be back for more. read more

The AMAZING Thirsty Chicken is what it should be called !!! My son and I dined here for the first time, but it won't be the last !!! The staff was super friendly and the food, well let's just say that I had the juiciest breast that I've ever had !!! The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and delicious. I opted for the Asian Heat, but will do another flavor next time. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. The fries are amazing as well. They are like huge curly potato wedges !!! You get plenty !!! They offer a variety of beers, seltzers, and frozen daiquiris. They only offer outdoor dining and it was 56° today, brrrr. However, after asking, they did come out and fired up two heaters for us which made it comfortable. They also have TV's outdoors as well so you can watch the game. The owner apologized and acklowled the actual mistake, so I'll give her credit for that. I have no idea about the food. I've heard it's good. Went for lunch today for the first time, I ordered garlic parm chicken sandwich and plain fries. I received cajun fries, they were definitely cajun due to all the red seasoning on top, disappointed that it wasn't what I requested. The fries are thick and they are pretty good, you get ranch on the side. My husband ordered the spicy lemon pepper sandwich. It looked like it was just buffalo sauce, so I have no idea if he got the correct sandwich or not. The patio is cute, you get a free fried pickle spear which was good. It was the experience for me..from start to finish. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and told they be right with us. The two ladies at the front must've noticed us studying the menu and asked if it was our first time we answered yes so they pointed out the lunch special signs and where to find the wing and daiquiri flavors. When the order was ready I received a text but before I could even get out the car all the way on of the ladies mentioned was bringing the order out and confirmed we'd grabbed our drinks before heading back in. The service was amazing which is rare these days. I had the 3 tenders which comes with fries, a fried pickle spear and non alcoholic beverage and my other half had the 5 wings, also accompanied with fries, pickle spear and a drink. Each was $10. I got the Bayou Bird and she had the Kickin Chicken. We took it to go (back home to Georgetown) and 30 mins later it was still warm so they def lived up to the verbiage about it being made fresh. The fries were wonderful, didn't eat the pickles (prefer chips over spears) and the chicken was also tasty and tenders were pretty big. The bayou bird had a slight kick but not as much as expected but was still good I was glad it was not salty like most other Cajun rubs. The Buffalo medium was also good, the wings were a little on the small side but nothing to complain about. Will def return, you can't beat the price for good, fresh food and good service. read more

Oh my goodness this place is soooooooo good. I'm a pescatarian so I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for the best fried cauliflower, and they're absolutely at the top of the list. Thirsty chicken they are a fresh chicken and daiquiri bar. You want to eat fresh you need to wait for the freshness and have a drink while you wait, talk to the nice staff and bask in the goodness your about to eat. I found this place by accident and I keep coming back. They have a pre order on toast app I'd highly recommend so you can get your wings on the go and ready when you get there.
