i am 72. I have had bad back for several years. I had regular PT several times. In March 2024, I…read morewas finally offered water therapy. The first exercise I was told to do hurt right away. PT AIDE told me to try my best. Other exercises that day were similar and others didn't hurt. Foolishly, I completed that round of PT with continuing new pain. In July, my pain increased exponentially. Two docs disagreed about whether or not it was back problem or hip problem. So, they referred me to Dr. Syboly (spelling?) who did the "big toe" test that showed that it was a back problem. He did a laminectomy (10-30-2024) and the back pain reduced a lot. Months later (4-6-2026), I had a hip replacement. I did another round of PT. On the last day, the PT Therapist dislocated my hip. YOW They called 911 to transport me to the ER. How embarrassing to be wheeled out on a gurney in front of a lot of other patients! AT ER, a piece of equipment was used to put the hip back in place. OUCH! (MCO covered the costs) That incident put me back on my recovery by about 3 weeks. I did some of the easier PT exercises at home. Now, in August 2026, the pain doctor wants me to have a PT evaluation. I don't want to go to MCO and am looking for another outfit.

I had pain in my neck and shoulders, lower back, left hip and the worst of all between the Sacrum and Coccyx. Also I was suffering from Plantar fasciitis. All those conditions were causing me a lot of stress and affecting my work performance. If i sat down for more than 10 minutes I would get terrible pains. When I stood up I would be hunched over for about 10 minutes until I could stand strait again. I couldn't go on long trips or do any type of exercises without suffering. Dr. Cathy taylored a treatment around my conditions and each appointment I was given a different therapy for each. In less than than three months I was out of pain. Right now sept 19, 2013, four months after and can go on long trips and i've been exercising for a month now without any pain. I'm happy with the results. I scheduled several PT appointments and was told I needed a first visit consultation with the Therapist. My appointment was scheduled for 7:00. I showed up before the appointment, and there was no one in the office. I received an apology, but this is not a place I can trust to be there when I needed help. There was a tech outside the door, but she was also locked out. There are several miscommunications in this poorly managed office. The phone voice mail message states they do not open until 8:00, when they schedule appointments for 7:00. The person setting up the appointment obviously does not communicate with the person who needs to be there for the appointment. Sad. I get an automated text message reminder that I have an appointment scheduled for 7:00. Maybe that should be sent to the therapist????, so he can keep the appointment. I had a similar customer service experience at Athletico several years ago. The therapist was the only one there, and kept asking me to wait while he answered the phone from his wife about dinner plans, etc. These folks should have the education to be good at therapy, but they need basic time management and people skills... Not a service facility in my personal experience. Not ever going back. Recommend others to find different locations as well, since Athletico has wasted my time on 2 occasions.
