My child can often be very shy or nervous upon his usual first appointments especially a Dentist visit but he was super social and happy as he was greeted with a BIG smile from his dental assistant Jasmine. During this visit, she was incredibly kind and gentle with my little one. She was very attentive and very detailed oriented in explaining the overall process and evaluation of my son's oral work. Before his tooth extractions, she listened to our concerns and handled our concerns Professionally. We also appreciated that she took her time to explain the extraction process and answered all of our questions. She also made sure that my child was comfortable ensuring him that his tooth removal was going to be quick and painless. I couldn't be happier with the experience we received from her and our child is not terrified when we tell him we have to go see Jasmine at the dentist. This was our first visit and certainly not last, we are happy and our service seriously couldn't have been better! We highly recommend this office to any family that is looking a for new child's dentist or just a new family dentist in general as they accept teens and adults as well. The office looks super new, clean, and very kid friendly with the learning screens they have in the waiting room to keep the kids entertained. Overall 10/10 read more

We come here all the time for checkup and cleaning for the kids. , I drive 20 min for this location from La Mesa, best kids dentistry in San Diego. They have games here before you come in and gifts for the kids. Everyone is really nice and friendly and confines with their adjustment to having multiple kids at once. Very good care, cleaning and one time we have cavity- they are very patient. Great Dr and assistant and office! Highly recommended to come in here if you have small kids and looking to start treatment- worth the drive if you are far! read more

if you have a child with "special needs" i highly recommended "jasmine!!!!" to do the teeth cleaning. my son is on the spectrum and was struggling soooo much on going to the dentist. once we got "jasmine" one visit and it has been life changing!!!! my son went from being strapped to a board, then sitting on my lap to having a weight jacket, to now sitting in the chair like a big boy and following directions. when my son see's her he gets super excited! he remembers her and takes well to her positive calm voice & high energy spirit to where he engages with her and looks for her approval when getting his teeth cleaned. thank you soo much jasmine we love and appreciate you and everything you do for us!!! you are the best! xoxo love connor & calene read more

Have a 1200 appointment for a cleaning. Showed up and checked in 25 minutes early. Sat around for an hour past the appointment time. Explained that we made the the appointment so it would not interfere with work or sports. They clearly are here for a money grab. Nothing about them says they care about the customer or honoring their own appointment times. Its all about quantity not quality. Just lost a few customers. read more

Just left here and it was not a good experience at all. I have been to this location multiple times and have been annoyed at how they overbook and the dentist always spends like two seconds with your kid, but this time was atrocious. My son has two cavities, they said they could fill them today, so I figured might as well get it done. They strapped him down like a hostile mental patient and attached laughing gas and then we waited forever for the doctor to come. When he finally did, he was there for like two seconds, said nothing to us; no introduction , no advice on how to avoid future cavities, and the lady who did the rest of the procedure barely spoke to us. My son was terrified and and I was trying to be brave for him but honestly unsure of their cleanliness and capabilities. Will not be returning here. read more

This review is really for the RDA who cared for my son today. Her name is Eva and she was so professional and skilled with dealing with my profoundly autistic son. Honestly, I went in there, assuming that he might get some x-rays... But there was no way he would ever get his teeth cleaned! We had been there before, and it was a no-go! This time, she took the risk and her disposition was such that my son trusted her, and she completed all necessary x-rays, cleaned his teeth with ALL of the tools and even put on fluoride! I couldn't believe it. And the entire time my son was calm, which also was unbelievable. The only knock would be that I waited 12 minutes past my appointment, but Eva worked fast and kept us within our allotted time. So thank you Super Dentists. we had a SUPER experience. read more

Every time we have an appt I regret our decision for orthodontics here. Whether I go morning or afternoon there is a long wait either in the waiting room or in the chair. They keep saying it's an exceptionally busy time or they're low staffed... every time with two kids coming here? The price is good but I hope you have time and patience to wait as payment. We were told mornings are better so we got a first thing in the morning appt where my kid missed school time and it was not any better. Dentistry side is no better unfortunately. People are nice but the wait kills me every time. Are my kids' teeth straight, mostly yes though phase 1 also didn't straighten them out completely which I thought was a rip too. read more

I went to The Super Dentists on Thursday, 8/27, because I had been experiencing pain in one of my crowned teeth for four days. They are not my regular dentist, but I saw that they offer emergency care and accept my insurance. They were also my dentists when I was a child, so I thought there would be no harm in coming back as an adult. I came in with one specific chief complaint: pain in ONE crowned tooth. They performed a comprehensive exam and told me I would need to come back another day to have my cavities filled and have the crown addressed. I specifically asked if they could just address the crown that day because that was the only reason I came in. The billing staff member spoke with the doctor and came back saying they could address the crown. I was then asked to sign forms and pay $338 for three fillings. I asked if I could pay for those fillings when I returned for the appointment I had already scheduled to have ALL my cavities treated. I was told I had to pay for 3 of the fillings that day and that the crown adjustment would be at no cost. Based on that conversation, I was under the impression that I would have only the crown fixed and I was paying for the cavity fillings ahead. What happened during the procedure was extremely upsetting. The dental assistant applied topical anesthetic and said it was being placed where she "thinks the doctor will inject." I then received three anesthetic injections, and the third injection was extremely painful. I was already anxious about the procedure, and I felt that the anesthetic process was rushed and did not adequately control my pain. During the dental work, I could still feel significant pain. I repeatedly said "ow" and "that hurts," and I was visibly shaking and crying. I was told that the pain was normal. When I was asked whether it felt cold or sharp, I said BOTH. They did give me another injection of anesthetic after I reported the pain, but even after that additional injection, I could STILL feel the pain. Despite me continuing to communicate that I was in pain, they continued with the procedure. At one point, a dental assistant commented that maybe I should use laughing gas next time. That comment especially bothered me because I wasn't asking for special treatment, I was repeatedly communicating that I was experiencing actual pain. I expected the staff to stop, reassess my anesthesia, and make sure I was adequately numb and comfortable before continuing. I left, still feeling pain in my crown when I bit down (even while my face was still numb). I was later told that the crown WAS adjusted, but that there was only so much they could do because they were not the original dentists who placed the crown. I completely understand that they may have limitations when they did not place the original crown. What I don't understand is why I was not clearly told this BEFORE I agreed to proceed with the additional treatment and paid $338 for fillings. Had I been told upfront, "We can try to adjust the crown, but because we did not place it, we cannot guarantee that we can resolve the problem," I would have made a completely different decision. I would have walked away and waited for my regular dentist, who placed the crown in the first place. Why would I willingly go through painful dental procedures only to find out afterward that the office could only TRY to address the one problem I actually came in for? My original chief complaint was not resolved, and I was put through additional dental procedures and significant pain that I had not intended to have done until my previously scheduled appointment. I understand that dental procedures can involve pressure, discomfort, and some pain. What I am disappointed by is how dismissed I felt when I repeatedly communicated that I was experiencing actual pain. I was shaking and crying, and I still did not feel heard or cared for. I came here because I trusted this practice from my experience as a child. Unfortunately, this experience as an adult left me feeling like my concerns and pain were not taken seriously. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because patients should feel safe speaking up when they are in pain. Thank you to the lady who took my x-rays and the lady who checked me in at the front desk, they were very nice and showed the kind of care I expected from the Super Dentists. read more

Quite literally the worst dental office you could take your child to. **DON'T DO IT. You've been warned.** For years, I heard horror stories about unnecessary crowns, extractions, and other treatments being recommended for young children. I kept giving this office the benefit of the doubt because my kids had only ever gone for routine cleanings and checkups. This week, we had two separate visits, and both were equally awful. Our first appointment was at 2:00 p.m. for my three children to have cleanings and checkups. We waited an hour before anyone called us back. Instead of scheduling enough staff to see each child separately, all of my children had to rotate through the same hygienist and dentist. What should have been a quick, one-hour visit turned into several hours. My 7-year-old daughter had a baby tooth that was literally hanging by a thread. The dentist asked if I wanted them to remove it, and I agreed. Instead of simply taking out a tooth that was already falling out, they told me I needed to schedule a second appointment for an "extraction." We left, and that evening we pulled it out ourselves in seconds. There was absolutely no reason for another appointment. Then came my son's appointment. I was originally told he had **two small cavities between his teeth that needed fillings.** I scheduled the appointment, took him out of school, had him fast beforehand, and arrived 10 minutes early. After waiting **an hour and ten minutes** in the waiting room, we were finally taken to an exam room, where we then waited another **20 minutes**. When the dental assistant finally came in, she casually told us the dentist would be in shortly to do two crowns and one filling. I was completely shocked. I explained that we were there for two fillings, not crowns. She insisted the treatment plan showed two crowns and one filling but couldn't explain why it had changed. She simply read what was on the screen. I told her that if crowns were now being recommended, we would only proceed with the filling for now as I don't understand why the treatment plan had changed. She left to speak with the dentist, who never bothered to come into the room, explain the recommendation, answer my questions, or even introduce themselves. Instead, the assistant came back and told me they would not do any treatment unless I agreed to the crowns as well. Why? Since when is a parent not allowed to choose which recommended treatment to move forward with? I've never had a healthcare provider refuse to perform one appropriate procedure simply because I declined another. Even more concerning, the treatment plan had changed from fillings to crowns without anyone discussing it with me beforehand. The lack of communication, transparency, and respect was unbelievable. Between the excessive wait times, unnecessary appointments, poor communication, and what felt like pressure to approve more expensive procedures, I left with very little confidence that my children's best interests were the priority. In my opinion, this office seems far more focused on maximizing insurance reimbursements than providing honest, patient-centered dental care. I would strongly encourage parents to seek a second opinion before agreeing to any major dental work recommended here. read more

I want to make something clear. This review is from a combination of the 4-5xs I've brought my daughter here. First time I had a horrible experience where the doctor extracted a tooth when my daughter wasn't fully under the anesthesia and felt everything. She was around 6-7 at the time. I made a scene and they made note on my daughter's profile about it which I believe a better approach would had been to coach the staff to SLOW DOWN. You're dealing with children and they require extra steps. If you feel like you don't have the time to do so, then STOP OVER BOOKING. Every single time I come you're never seen on time. The place itself is very nice for the kids . I do love the TVs, the blankets they provide and side games for them to play. That's the only reason why I keep coming back, truly. In regards of patient care, I always feel like they're just trying to cash in on EVERYTHING THEY CAN if you have medical. They don't explain your options and everything always feels RUSHED and I mean RUSHED!!!! Today I brought my daughter to remove her spacers. While Jazmine (who was AMAZING ,PATIENT AND KIND) was working on her, some girl came in telling her she needed to switch with her because she needed to go to lunch or something in relation to it. It was SO UNPROFESSIONAL she was in the middle of working on my daughter's procedure and she interrupted it. To be quite honest, even the lady that brought the iPad for me to sign for the procedure had an attitude. It almost felt like these girls had a problem with Jazmine. I don't work there but it's SO OBVIOUS and Jazmine was just minding her business working on my daughter. In my eyes this place just needs better management. Couldn't even finish her cavity today because they don't have time. Thank you Jazmine for being patient and kind with my daughter. From the trauma she had with the previous doctor, this was truly appreciated. ALSO, STOP SCHEDULING PEOPLE RANDOMLY BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE IT. You are taking away spots from people that actually want them. This is not the first time I keep getting randomly scheduled by GOD KNOWS WHO in your office. Check this one out from today the appointment is scheduled for MARCH 2027 for her cavity when I said I would call .... Lord have mercy. read more

We had an appointment for my daughter to extract a tooth & Jasmine greeted us immediately with a very sincere smile & gracious energy. She was very gentle & checked with us along every step & consistently asked if we had any questions throughout the entire process. She wiped my daughter's gum before applying numbing gel & her tooth came right off & there was actually no need for any extraction or laughing gas! Our visit was short, quick, easy, & extremely pleasant! Jasmine was an exceptional face to see it was our first time meeting her & I hope we get her again! Shout out to Jasmine! read more

Took my kid, checked in, waited, waited, waited; finally got called inside. X-rays were done, then more WAITING to get results. By then it's been an hour after our arrival, and while WAITING i couldn't help but to take a look at the lack of hygiene here. I just couldn't help it, they gave us plenty of time to notice that someone in the cleaning department hasn't been doing their work. Pictures speak for themselves. This is a busy place, people come and go, I like the service here, the people are great but someone definitely needs to pay attention. read more

Quality and Staffing issues. Money Grab! Do not do anything outside of a normal cleaning in this business. All they want is to create fear to make you think a more expensive procedure is necessary. Get a second opinion for oral surgery. My daughter had a mini root canal on both front teeth. Within 4 months the white crowns had holes in the back where you could not see unless she was upside down. The holes exposed my daughter to a root infection and is now having to have her front tooth extracted 2 years earlier than normal at another dental office. This is now less than a year and we are paying out of pocket to fix what The Super Dentist damaged. I have called and tried setting up an appointment for them to fix the holes to avoid an infection and no one would call me to schedule a visit. The front desk team was argumentative when I told them on our first visit that something had not been done and they told me it had and I just must not have been aware. I was in the room the entire time and know it was not completed. They contract out dental assistants and dentist from all over who have sometimes never even been to their office. They do not know where to find things. They leave the dental assistant in charge of your child tooth rebuild instead of a dentist. My dental assistant was left alone with only two hands opening and closing drawers to find things with now one available to help when she told staff she needed a second person. They are so completely worried about making money that they try to see you a Toothpaste for $26 and no sample to see if the child likes the flavor. No free toothbrush which is usual for children dentists. They gave my three year old a free toy that was a choking hazard. read more

Dentists are amazing and professional. My son had an issue free experience, highly recommend coming here!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel like parents should know what to expect when it comes to scheduling at this office. My biggest issue isn't the dental work itself it's how disorganized and overbooked this office is. The first time my son had an appointment, we arrived 20 minutes early. Even though we were on time, we still waited about 35 minutes past our appointment time before he was finally seen. We were told they were "running behind," but it honestly felt like they had overbooked the schedule. After his treatment, we were told to come back the next day. Once again, we arrived on time, and once again we waited around 30-45 minutes before he was seen. A couple of hours after we got home, one of my son's caps came off. I immediately called and was told they wanted to get him in as soon as possible to fix it. I was never told this visit was only for an exam or X-rays. I was under the impression they were going to replace the cap. I came back for the appointment, they took another X-ray, and then the doctor came in and told me they couldn't put the cap back on because they didn't have the staff available. I was told to come back again the next morning at 8:00 a.m. That was extremely frustrating. Gas is expensive, and so is taking time off work or rearranging your day. If I had been told over the phone that they weren't going to be able to fix it that day, I would have understood and scheduled accordingly. Instead, I drove all the way there just to be told to come back again after an X-ray my son didn't seem to need, considering he had already had X-rays and treatment the day before. The biggest problem is the lack of communication between the call center and the office. Patients shouldn't have to waste their time and money because the scheduling system isn't organized. If patients are expected to arrive on time or risk being rescheduled, the office should also respect patients' time. Overall, this has been a very frustrating and stressful experience. My son's tooth still isn't fully protected because the cap hasn't been put back on yet, and now I have to wait until tomorrow for something that should have been taken care of during the appointment I was told to come in for. As a parent, it's stressful knowing his tooth is left exposed longer than necessary because of poor scheduling and lack of communication. I truly hope this office improves the way they schedule appointments and communicate with patients so other families don't have to go through the same experience.! read more

Just because a place is labeled as a pediatric dentist doesn't mean that the staff would have the skills it takes to work with children. We used to go to a different pediatric clinic and I wanted to try super dentist because it seemed to look more fun for kids. I was surely reminded that looks can be deceiving. Maybe I just had the one bad tech that ran out of patience so this may not be the case for everyone, but it was the case for us. The first thing they wanted to do as soon as my now 4 year old son sat on the chair was to restrain him so they could shove an X-ray piece into his mouth. His mouth was closed and they pried his mouth open. They had absolutely no patience or bedside manner for my son who has never seen them before and was feeling shy and nervous. How they approached this is a surefire way to make kids HATE the dentist. There was no other path the techs wanted to take other than "X-ray now or no service at all." I took my son to a different pediatric dentist a few days later and it was night and day with how they treated my son. They were much kinder, more personable, got down to my son's level and really made things fun for him WITHOUT pressure and rushing. My son was able to get a full cleaning plus X-rays happily with this other clinic. Super Dentist on the other hand relies on all the flashy, gimmicky decor to distract from their poor service with kids. I think these techs don't understand that not all kids are going to turn into zombies when a TV is on so they can do dental care on them. Some kids can be nervous, but I don't think that is allowed at super dentist. If you have a child that is even remotely shy/nervous, steer clear from Super Dentist! Unless you want to traumatize and make your kid HATE dentist visits!!! read more

This place is always busy and they never seem to be able to spend uninterrupted time focusing on caring for my children. They completed a frenectomy for my son and continued to attempt to bill me for more than a year, after confirming that the procedure was 100% covered by my insurance. They also completed x-rays that were unnecessary and not covered by my insurance, then expected me to pay that bill. My husband showed up with my son for our scheduled appointment (that they had previously confirmed) and the office was completely closed. In my opinion, their practices are predatory and they take advantage of people who are busy with their young children. I will not be returning to this dentist. read more

Extremely poor quality and zero accountability. The Super Dentists made me a retainer about 2.5 years ago, and it broke in an absurd way--from lightly tapping it on a towel to dry it. That alone says everything about the materials they use. The retainer is incredibly thin and fragile, and clearly not designed to withstand even basic, normal handling. When I brought this to their attention, I spoke with a staff member who checked with Holly. The response? No discount, no consideration, no attempt to stand behind their work--just a flat refusal. It's disappointing but not surprising when a business prioritizes profit over quality and customer care. Dental appliances are not cheap, and patients should expect durability and accountability. This experience showed me neither. I would not trust them again and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. read more
