Terrible customer service and quality control. I've had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with this company. Shipping and packaging wise, it was fine. Took about 4.5 weeks to arrive which was acceptable. I tried putting on the lens and I noticed the lens for my Randolph Engineering glasses barely did not fit. I couldn't screw in the frame. I compared the orginal Randolph Engineering lens to the Sunglass Fix lens and noticed a difference. I double checked if the model and dimensions are correct and they are. The Sunglass Fix lens had a slight peak on the right side of their lens. I uploaded a picture to show the difference. Okay so, the lens didn't fit, that sucks but it happens. I was willing to forgive that. It was what happened after that pissed me off. I contacted their customer service stating that the lens wasn't properly shaped and sent a picture CLEARLY showing the difference between the two. And their first offer was for me to either send back the lens to them (and I pay for shipping of course) to get a refund or send in my frame (and also pay for shipping) so they can properly fit it. They didn't even offer to pay for shipping on account of THEIR mistake. No offer for a refund or a replacement lenses. They did not even once admit that it was their fault that their lens was poorly made. Didn't even apologize to me that their product was faulty. They kept assuming it was my fault that I probably got the model wrong. They asked what model the sunglasses were and I said AF5520. They stated that that model doesn't exist when if they even bothered to look at the Randolph Engineering Aviator catalog on their official website, ALL of their aviator models start with AF. They said their model was REUSA and not AF. REUSA was actually engraved underneath the brow of my sunglasses and I even sent them a picture of it. They still didn't understand that the models are correct. I had to seriously pull teeth to get a refund for these useless lenses. I've never dealt with such incompetency in my life. Do you know those ISP companies who have terrible customer service who put you on hold for hours and make you want to kill yourself? Yeah, I'd rather deal with them than this company ever again.

I have a pair of Maui Jim's that are 6 years old. Recently, a lens popped out and cracked. I really love these sunglasses, and I was a little concerned about buying after market lens. Sunglass fix makes it easy to find what you need, and I love the new lens more than the originals. read more

My granddaughter borrowed my Maui Jim's, unbeknownst to me, and broke one of the lenses playing whiffle ball with her cousin. I sent them to Maui Jim, but the style was discontinued so I had the option to replace the black lenses with bronze, or have them returned. I chose to have them returned, and ordered replacement lenses from The Sunglass Fix. At $56 I thought they'd be good, or good enough. Nope. I'm very unhappy with the quality compared to the Maui Jim's and should've gotten the bronze replacement lenses, even though my frames are black. As you can see by the pictures, the Sunglass Fix lenses pale in comparison. Literally. read more

I bought three pairs of replacement lenses for Oakley Enduro (different colors) I never received the blue mirror ones, after extensive email correspondence, exchanging pictures, explaining that I received black mirror instead of blue mirror, I gave up. The aftersales department does not act as professional with values such as integrity and respect. I do not recommend this company. read more

Had a pair of Adidas Frames with prescription lenses I no longer needed since having cataract surgery. Decided to convert to regular sunglasses for outdoors. Contacted Sunglass Fix to have conversion done. Gave them frame information, etc. online easy process. Lenses I ordered arrived within a reasonable time, shipped free, perfect fit, reasonable price, no middle man involved better than going to retail store in Florida. read more

My wife dropped her Ray Ban sunglasses and broke a lens. Ray Ban, along with most other luxottica products, does not repair her model - instead they offer a discount on purchasing a new pair. I found the Sunglass fix, ordered lenses and installed them. My wife is estatic to have her favorite Ray Ban sunglasses back. The Sunglass Fix has a great product, installation instructions and service. Highly recommended. read more

This company has some lens colors which Fuse Lens and other competitors do not offer. This company makes lenses which are thicker and more expensive than Fuse and others. I bought pink lens for Von Zipper Snark and am not disappointed, but the pink lens sold directly from VZ for their other models is better (-1 star). read more

Awesome find! I saw their video on YouTube for replacement lenses for my 6 year old Vonzipper Elmore frames. I decided to go out on a whim and try them. I am very happy I did. They had a decent shipping time. It took just over 2 weeks to get to my home in the United States. I'm glad I chose the route to get new lenses instead of a brand new pair of sunglasses. Thanks Sunglass Fix for being such a reliable and reputable company. Will recommend you to anyone! read more

I received replacement lens from Sunglass Fix for a Persol frame I have. The lenses are good quality. But the comparison of the lens color from the image on their website and what I received are not the same. What was ordered was a gradient lens and the picture on the website showed a gradient lens with an acceptable gradient shade area on the lower portion on the lens. What I received was a gradient that was not the same as dipicted on their website. Hardly any differential in the gradient area. I did use their contact link to complain but received no answer. In addition, I asked questions about another lens color but received a response that did not answer my question. So the lens product seems good but color accuracy is an issue and communication is not acceptable when you can't get an answer to specific questions, only partial answers. In addition, I found their website confusing although attractive to look at. I would hesitate recommending them to a friend for fear of them buying lenses that may be marginal or worse. read more

I stupidly managed to scratch the lens on a pair of Oakley Bottle Rockets. Reading the high reviews of the Sunglass Fix site made take the plunge to order a replacement set. The lens took a while to arrive, admittedly they had to come to Canada. Just received them. The fit was good, easy to snap in place. I confirmed the replacement lens were polarized. However the optics are a pale comparison to the original - no where close. These are basically cheap chinese knockoff lenses. If you want replacements for fashion sake, then maybe. But if you want to match the optics of your original lenses I wouldn't bother. You'll have to get replacement glasses I'm afraid. Note: original bottle rocket lens weigh 5 grams each. Sunglass fix lenses are 3.7 grams and are noticeably flimsier. read more

My best friend gave me a pair of Oakley Why 8.0 sunglasses that I used until the coating was coming off. Oakley no longer sells replacement lenses for this model and I did not want to retire a great fitting pair of sunglasses. Searched high and low and found http://www.thesunglassfix.com. They had high quality optics and accepted paypal. Shipping took about three weeks but was well worth the wait. These lenses are just as good if not better quality than Oakley. I got a pair of Polarized sunglass lenses for some Moscot Miltzen frames. It took exactly 8days to be delivered to NYC from Australia with the fastest shipping for only $5. We went to Moscot to get the lenses installed and the quality of these plastic polarized lenses are pretty decent. I have some plastic polarized lenses from Lensabl that were at least twice the price and take twice as long to be made/installed than Sunglass Fix and are only marginally better lenses. Considering you don't need to mail out your frames and the cost is only $50 for perfect fit polarized lenses I would go with Sunglass Fix if I ever need to replace mine. read more

Do not order from The Sunglass Fix if you are in the USA and you want your lenses in a timely manner. I'll admit, I ordered on my phone and did not realize that this company was located in Australia. If I would have noticed, I would have never ordered from them. I took them up on their free shipping which FYI comes with NO tracking after it leaves Australia. It has been 31 days and I have not yet received my lenses so I cannot attest to their quality. I reached out to customer service for a refund and I have to wait 6 weeks (42 sun blinding days lol) to see if they will be delivered until they will refund my money. I have a pretty bad feeling that they will not, but hey- maybe a shipping miracle will happen... If I do actually get my lenses and they kick ass I will update my review. Customer service was prompt and courteous. If you happen to want to see what they wrote to me which includes shipping times and prices, here you go: Thanks for your email. The default free shipping option for International mail includes the envelope being sent with DHL to Sydney, then Air Mail to your local mail service provider. We pay for tracking from our warehouse to Sydney, then we pay for Air Mail and local delivery only, so the tracking that we pay for stops at Sydney. We can see from that DHL tracking that the lenses did leave Sydney 4 January We do offer tracking for USD $4.55 at checkout, which will let you track the envelope from our warehouse, all the way to your letterbox. We cannot 'add' local tracking after the envelope has already left the premises though. That being said, you do have a great mail service and we are confident that they will not let you down. It is probably USA customs more so than USPS that have delayed your lens shipment. We do apologise for the time USA customs and USPS have taken so far. They are usually pretty efficient. We will ensure you get your product and as long as your address is 100% accurate it's just a matter of waiting for the postal systems to do their job. Again, very sorry about that. Not great for either of us and considering "expedited" international shipping starts at 80 dollars, there's not a lot of options to speed it up. -- Region Best Delivery Time Average Delivery Longest Delivery Refund or Resend Australia 2-6 business days 4-8 business days 10 business days 12 business days New Zealand 1- 2 weeks 2 - 3 weeks 3 - 5 weeks 5 weeks Asiana Region 1.5 - 2 weeks 2 - 3 weeks 3 - 5 weeks 5 weeks USA/Canada 1.5 - 2 weeks 2 - 3.5 weeks 3.5 - 6 weeks 6 weeks UK/Western Europe 2 - 3 weeks 2 - 4 weeks 4 - 6 weeks 6 weeks Arabian Region 3 - 4 weeks 3 - 5 weeks 5 - 7 weeks 8 weeks South & Central America 3 - 5 weeks 5 - 6 weeks 6 - 9 weeks 10 weeks African Region 3 - 5 weeks 5 - 6 weeks 6 - 9 weeks 10 weeks Eastern Europe/Russia 3 - 5 weeks 5 - 7 weeks 7 - 9 weeks 10 weeks Please verify you shipping address: If there's any issue with the address please let us know immediately. The Sunglass Fix advertises Maui Jim replacement lenses as good or superior to true MJ lenses. I have purchased many pair of these glasses over the years and have paid the high price because of the perfect sight I have always gotten from the lenses. When I scratched this pair I gave Sunglass Fix a try, as the lenses were half price of what MJ charges. Side by side with my other pair the Sunglass Fix lenses are not even close to the crystal clear vision I have with the real MJ lenses. Now I wasted all the time, money and effort just to have to send my sunglasses to Maui Jim anyway. Thanks for nothing Sunglass Fix. read more

I was very hesitant to order lenses that weren't directly from the manufacturer, but I'm so glad I did. I ordered gold mirrored on solid brown lenses for my maui jims and was afraid they would be too "mirrored" and I'd look like The Fly. Not the case at all! They're actually more of a bronze color and look great. They arrived exactly when Sunglass Fix said they would, fit the frame perfectly and I absolutely love them - especially since they ended up being $50 less than if I had ordered direct from MJ. And to top it all off - the national chain optical shop near me put them in for free. So very happy, would definitely order from Sunglass Fix again. read more

Disappointed. Original lenses for Serengeti sunglasses are made from glass. Replacement lenses are plastic, and I'm sorry but they do not have the same clarity and contrast of the original lenses. As these returned my one cracked lens to "functional" status, they are still not as good as the OEM. Going to buy a new pair of sunglasses at my 1st opportunity. Having to wait 6 weeks for delivery (I understand a COVID delay impacted international freight) was also a negative. Probably better to go to my local optician to have them make me a pair of high quality replacement glass lenses in hindsight. Others have reported being pleased, I can't say that I am one of them. First, I did try to get in touch via email regarding my order, and was finally able to connect and received responses regarding shipping. Paying extra for tracking was never an option, and I almost did not order these for that reason. I am glad if you do allow a tracking option, but you should make that option very prominent when placing an order. I would have paid for it and have on orders with other vendors. Second, when I place a review it is never intended to "hurt" anyone. It is to inform other consumers of benefits and pitfalls I experienced, and to give the vendor "lessons learned" so they can improve any shortfalls, and take pride in areas that are outstanding. Customer service is paramount especially when ordering on line, where it is truly a leap of faith. It is possible to have an inferior product, and still make sales if the service is outstanding. If the service is lacking even exceptional products would have difficulty selling. In the on line market place, and may other markets, a good product alone does not make sales. I would hope you take this critique to heart, and make improvements to service where needed. It is great that you "bend over backwards" to satisfy your customers, but if the customer never sees or feels that effort, it does not earn customer service points. Your family does have a great product, and for that you should be proud. But if you want overseas customers to be satisfied, you may need to tweak how you approach customer service and communication. read more

On my second pair of gradients for my Maui Jims. Excellent product and buying experience. Instant online response and one week shipping from Australia. Perfect fit. Lenses took forever to get to me. After struggling for two hours to get the lenses in installed mostly because of the screw kit I also ordered only came with Two matching screws out of eight. Another words 4 different sizes. I mean maybe I didn't read the description but what good are two screws for glasses that would require at least 4. The most important thing is I ordered and was charged for polarized lenses and received lenses that are not only not polarized but darker than the ones I thought I was replacing. I don't know but I sent them an email to let them know about their screwup so we will see. Ray Ban is the company that recommended me to this site and if I don't get my money back I will be letting Ray-Ban know about the company there recommending. read more

The Sunglass Fix repaired my $ 200.00 pair of Prada sunglasses by replacing badly scratched lens with new lens which, in my opinion, exceed the quality of the lens from the manufacturer for a mere fraction of the cost of new pair. I was nervous about ordering from Australia but really wanted to refurb my favorite pair of Ray Bans that aren't available anymore. I ordered the same color lenses, but polarized. Ordering was easy and payment was done via PayPal. About 6 weeks later, I emailed them asking about my order since I hadn't gotten a shipment confirmation. They got back to me right away, telling me that my order had shipped the day after I placed it and to email them if I hadn't received the lenses in a couple weeks and they would send me a replacement pair. They showed up in my mailbox the next day. The lenses looked great and installed easily. Can't tell the difference from the original except for the little Ray Ban logo on the top of one lens. But in exchange for polarized lenses, i'll take it! Don't order from them if you're in a hurry or trying to get the lenses replaced before your big vacation - but if you have time to spare for international shipping and customs processing, I would definitely go for it! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Craig A.
Craig started The Sunglass Fix in 2006 when he found 3 pairs of relatively new sunglasses in a desk drawer. He explored options for getting them repaired and found that it was either impossible or almost the same price as a new pair if he was lucky enough to find a manufacture that supported repairs on their products. Thinking this was an huge environmental problem as well as a massive waste of money he set out to build a business that not only solved the problem but could do so at a very competitive price with better quality than the original manufacturers in most cases. The Sunglass Fix has now won many industry awards and with over 55,000 models was not only one of the first companies to provide this type of service but now is one that has the largest range in the world.

Outstanding!!! I ordered two pairs of lenses for my glasses and one pair had a problem due to a very minor issue that I didn't realize. I let it go for way too long (due to moving to Boston from Los Angeles i.e winter and no need for my darker sunglasses) and finally contacted them about it when summer rolled around THE NEXT YEAR!!! They bent over backwards in order to make it right even though technically they didn't have to. There was also a miscommunication in the process which they also made right. Afterwards, I realized the miscommunication was actually my fault not theirs. In light of that, they have a customer for life!!! Also they have gained free advertising (in the form of...I can't shut up about them every time the subject of sunglasses comes up). As for the one star review...If that worries you, just go to the website and see for yourself that the reviewer has missed the point. If you spend 30 seconds reading the words in the website, it becomes patently clear that these are "replacement lenses" that they "make"..."just like an optometrist"..."but at a fraction of the cost." Looks like one of the reviewers here never graduated to Big Boy Books (you know...the ones with more words than pictures)!!! BTW...These lenses are 10 times better than the original lenses that came on my Versace frames at QUITE LITERALLY A FRACTION OF THE COST!!! Also if they are reading this, sorry about the miscommunication. I'll be ordering from you again very soon. read more

Over ten years ago, I purchased a pair of Oakley Hijinx sunglasses. Within two years of owning them, the lenses began to delaminate. I unsuccessfully attempted to resolve the issue via warranty through Oakley. I chalked up the loss and moved over to Costa Del Mar. Recently, I was going through some boxes of miscellaneous items that had been forgotten. I came across the old Oakley's and decided to make another attempt at repair. I contacted Oakley only to discover that the Hijinx model had been discontinued and Oakley did not maintain a replacement lens inventory for the model. Through a Google search, I found The Sunglass Fix. Based on the numerous positive reviews, I decided to take a chance on a company located about as far away as you can get. I am glad that I made that decision. The Sunglass Fix had the lenses in stock. The ordering and payment process were seamless and the lenses were shipped the day after I placed the order. The lenses arrived within the specified timeframe and I installed them in a matter of seconds while watching The Sunglass Fix instructional video. The fit and lens quality exceeded expectations. The only thing better was the high level of service provided by the Sunglass Fix. Now I am looking for more forgotten sunglasses in need of lens replacement. read more

Fantastic service and product quality! Living on an island in the Caribbean, I have gotten used to needing complicated payment and delivery arrangements to receive quality products. With The Sunglass Fix, browsing the site, finding the exact lenses I needed, selecting favorable options and placing the order was a breeze. I thought it was almost too easy, especially considering how inexpensive the replacement lenses were! The international delivery was icing on a delicious cake, especially when the package arrived neatly and securely packaged, with a personal note, a few extras (soft bags for glasses) and well within the estimated delivery time. After that, despite being a bit nervous about fitting the lenses into the frames myself, that part was not very difficult, and the new lenses are fantastic! I prefer them to the original ones. The quality seems to be quite high, and now, a few months later I am still loving them (I got polarized lenses, with a darker tint than the original ones). I did not need to communicate personally with any of the staff of the store, but the automated and indirect service levels were very high. I would definitely recommend this service, and they are at the top of my list for any sun glass lens replacement I want in the future. read more

Principled and Personalized service. This characterizes my thoughts regarding the service provided to me by Sunglass Fix. I'm an Architect and have decades of experience with product venders. I have seldom dealt with a company demonstrating such veracity in making sure their customer obtains the correct product. I made a lens choice based upon a photo and without knowing the actual model number of my glasses. Michelle, Luke, Odyssee, the Sunglass Fix - Customer Service Team were quick to follow-up by e-mail with an offer to verify the model if I sent them a photo of my frame. I did... and we exchanged several e-mails to finally resolve the question of which lenses I actually needed. Many companies would have processed my payment, shipped per my selection, and handled my mistake through a series of systemized responses. Instead, I experienced a pleasant and personal exchange that more than inspired my confidence that Sunglass Fix cares about getting it right in the first place. I enthusiastically recommend doing business with these people. read more

I held onto a pair of Smith "Collective" sunglasses for a couple years because I'm not throwing out a $150 frames for some scratched lenses. Found "The Sunglass Fix" two years ago and ordered new lenses. Finding the lenses needed was a breeze with their glasses identifier (my frames had worn off the screen-printing to identify them) and had a new pair in in a matter of 2 weeks with fast shipping from Australia to USA. This past week I was camping in the High Sierras, not paying attention to protecting the glasses and got stuck between a rock and a tree with my pack being too tall. The lenses where scratched up soo bad. I was furious, my favorite sunglasses. Threw them to the ground and walked on. My wife picked them up and gave them back to me the next day. All the hardcoat lens scratches rubbed out!!! The frames are scratched but the lenses are still perfect! Went ahead and ordered new "backup" lenses to keep at home as the COVID shipping ratings were very poor but, just as before, 1.5 weeks later the new lenses arrived. LOVE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

-------------- In English: On 23rd of july I've ordered some replacement lenses as the original ones gave me headeaches due to the gradient (from transparant to dark). On the 4th of august I received the lenses (in the Netherlands) and easily fitted them into the frame. They're an excellent fit and the view is sharp. Polarizing of the lens is also good. Only noticable difference is that the original lenses are slightly heavier. They seem to be made of glass while the replacements are made of synthetic material. read more

Subject: Thank You for the Amazing Lenses! Dear Sunglass Fix Team, I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding service and product I received. I recently purchased replacement lenses for my Cartier glasses from you, and I must say - I'm absolutely impressed! The lenses are of exceptional quality, perfectly cut, and fit my frames flawlessly. The clarity and finish exceeded my expectations, and my glasses feel brand new again. It's true that the shipping to Bahrain took longer than expected, but it was absolutely worth the wait. I'm very happy with the final result and truly appreciate your work. Thank you for your professionalism, attention to detail, and reliable service. It's rare to find a company that delivers on its promises the way you do. Wishing you continued success - you've definitely earned a loyal customer. Warm regards, [osama alsada] read more

Amazing!! My fav pair of D&G's had seen better days. From may days at the beach and wearing my sunnies in the water, the film started to pull away from the lenses and weren't the clearest to see thru. I found sunglass fix and for a fraction of the price of a new pair of D&G's, I have my sunglasses looking as good as new. The care that they take with their customer service is fantastic. When they ship the product to you, it comes packaged with care in a great little carrying case for your sunnies, directions on how to insert the glass into the frame and they are wrapped in protective wrapping to prevent damaging. Only thing that bummed me out is I had just returned from an Australian holiday and had I know about sunglass fix a week earlier I could have stopped by and met the great people behind this amazingly affordable company. Thanks Sunglass fix, you guys are the best! A++++++ read more

I have a retro pair of Ray Bans I bought in 1998. At the time i had prescription lenses put in them. I lost the original lenses over the years, and recently had Lazik eye surgery. A Gentleman that works at my local Eye Doctor recommended I look online, and The Sunglass Fix was the first ones that popped up. I purchased a pair of Replacement lenses, Polarized, and paid for express Shipping. I Received these Lenses so Fast, I thought they came from close by. These Lenses Fit and Look Perfect! I took them to my Eye Doctor, afraid of breaking something, and they told me the polarization was perfect, and the Lenses were Perfect too. I could not be Happier, These Lenses Are GREAT!!!!!! read more

My kids bought me a pair of Nike Sunglasses several years ago and recently I found one lens was severely scratched. I tried locally with y Eye Doctor and he could replace the lenses for over $350! I came across Sunglass Fix and after making many inquiries and posing several questions (all very quickly answered), I purchased a set of lenses and replacement nose pads. Shipping to the USA was free via DHL with tracking. I was able to reassemble everything very easily and am very happy with the service I received and the quality of the lenses provided. The new lenses were obviously designed to perfectly fit my Nike Vaughn sunglasses. Thank you Sunglass Fix! read more

I am so impressed by my replacement lenses for my RB2180 Ray Bans. I am going to include pictures because I definitely wished there were more when I was trying to decide whether to use this company or not. Included photos are before and after replacing the lens ( scratched ones are before) I ordered the polarized gold mirrored brown lenses. I ordered on May 19th and received on June 2nd which was fine for me because I did not need them to be rushed. They were simple to pop into my ray ban frames and I am so happy with my new/ old sunglasses. THANK YOU SUNGLASSES FIX. read more

I have just had the pleasure of talking with Craig and he could not be more helpful, the screw that hold the arm on my Revo Sunglasses had fallen out. I had taken them to every Optometrist, Sun Glasses shop in the Sutherland Shire and no one could fix them. One phone call to Craig and he is going to send me a kit to fix them at no charge. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is in need of their sunglasses to be repaired. Thanks so much Craig you are a legend. Not only do I love these sunglasses but they have a very sentimental meaning to me. read more

After shopping around for weeks to try and find replacement lenses for my Rayban Liteforce I came across The Sunglass Fix who not only stocked them but had them marginally cheaper than every other competitor. Fast forward a few months later I had to replace them because of my clumsiness. Michelle in customer service had them replaced within a matter of days! You just don't get this quality of customer service or warranty support in 2020. They've got a lifetime customer in me! THANKYOU! read more

I have a pair of Revo 3039 and I love the frame being so light and they don't make it anymore. However, the coding the lens is coming off. I email REVO but no response. Luckily I found Sunglass fix and decided to give it try. Communication and ordering were easy. Shipment was quick. I got it within 3 weeks which is expected since I am the US and they are shipping from Australia. I removed the old lens and mounted the new Lens. Everything was perfect. Love the service. read more

I've ordered a few pairs of replacement lenses from this company, and their customer service and prices are awesome. You can get replacement Ray Ban lenses that are polarized for under $50 and the shipping is FREE. It takes a little while to get to the US from Australia but it's worth it; just wear a back-up pair til then. If you have questions their staff is quick to email you back. I believe they're family owned - and they're doing it right. read more

So glad I can I found a place that sells quality replacement lenses for premium sunglasses. I've used them for Revo and RayBan so far and the Ultimate SFx lenses are tough and crystal clear. The customer support staff is very professional and quick to address concerns. Even when the mistake is all yours they will still work with you to get things sorted out. The prices are very reasonable and free shipping make these guys tough to beat. read more

I had two $300+ designer sunnies that I was ready to toss due to badly scratched lenses. The Sunglass Fix company replaced the damaged lenses at a fraction of the cost that I was quoted by the optometrist. In my opinion the replacement lenses look and feel like they're better quality than the originals. Throughout the process they were highly communicative, helpful and extremely responsive. I highly recommend this service. read more
