I accidentally shaved part of my hair and left myself a bad looking bald spot before an important event. I popped into the Dedham location right at closing time, desperate for any help I could get. Justin immediately agreed to help and he didn't complain that it was already 6pm. He was friendly and accommodating and did an amazing job blending in the spot I gave myself. To my surprise, he wouldn't even accept money when I tried to pay! He got me out of a serious pinch, and I couldn't be more grateful. Please give this place a shot if you're on the fence.

The open sign was lit and their door sign confirmed that they were supposed to be open. The phone number went to voicemail. Waited in the parking lot for half an hour, total waste of my time. Will not be back.

I don't work in Canton anymore--and am about an hour away--but, whenever it's haircut time, I battle I-95 and get to Frank and Vinny's. I want to share my experience with this barbershop…read more I was not given the haircut I asked for. The barber simply cut off almost all of my hair length, even though I clearly said I only wanted a very small trim. The whole time, she was chewing gum loudly with her mouth open right next to my ear, which was very uncomfortable. She handled my hair quite roughly, and in every movement it felt like she didn't care about what she was doing at all. There was no attention to detail or effort. At times, it even seemed like she was just pretending to work -- picking up tools and bringing them close to my head without actually doing anything meaningful. The final result is uneven and completely different from what I requested. I've had many bad and strange experiences at barbershops before, but this is the first time I've felt the need to leave a review.

We walked in on a busy Saturday morning and waited 20 minutes for our turn. Inside is very comfortable with leather chairs, premier league soccer on a big screen on, and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. The decor is modern yet welcoming with all the Boston sports teams pictures on the wall. For kids, they have a fun car shaped barber shop chair and a screen playing kids shows. Felt way less chaotic then going to a kids place like Snip Its. There were several kids there today also getting their hair cut so they definitely have experience. For $25, the price was reasonable and worth every penny for the positive experience we got where no tears were shed. I can also add they did a great job on the dads that were there too. Anyways if your toddler needs a kids haircut, skip the Snip It's and give Top Legend a visit.

(When I've found a barber or stylist over the years, I am very loyal and remain a customer for a long time, however given the circumstance I desperately need a cut and the need for this trumped my fear of trying a new barber sight unseen and without a recommendation. I am glad I did. The shop opened just four months ago and everything in the six-chair shop is brand-spankin' new. Despite this it has an old school barber shop vibe. They have a small fridge offering complimentary cold drinks, as well as candy, coffee, and have several large screen TVs showing various sports. Instead of the seventh chair, they have a replica Jeep to use for kids cuts. I waited for Elias (one of the owners) and found in him a very friendly, talented, detailed barber. Really though, and not to overstate, he is an artist. His thoroughness, attention to detail, and the care he offers each customer really makes him a true craftsman. I found him to be a throwback. He listens to what you want and works swiftly but does not make you feel rushed. The regular haircut is reasonably priced ($30.) and includes my favorite part -- a razor shave of the back of your neck including warm shaving cream. It's a slight bit of a drive for me to Top Legend from my home, but I believe I've found a new barber.

I've gotten my hair cut by 4 different barbers and can say that while every barber has their own style, they all have a pretty good handle on what they are doing. I usually pay about $25 for a tapered cut and beard outline. My one issue with this barbershop would be that they never truly adhere to appointments you make. I once booked an appointment for 5pm and didn't get seated until 5:30pm. My barber was cutting someone else's hair so it wasn't a big deal, but I would keep that factor in mind if you are hoping to get somewhere right after your cut. Knowing this, I usually plan to be at the shop for an extra 30 minutes after my cut should end so that it doesn't interfere with other plans. Lastly, customer service at this barbershop is fantastic. It was really refreshing to see that all the employees remained professional because most barbershops I have been to in the past were very disorganized, had inappropriate conversations in the open, and did not always have someone available to answer phone calls or greet you as you walked in. At Marvelous Cuts, there is usually someone available at their front desk to greet you as you walk-in, check you in if you have an appointment, and let you know how far behind in line you'd be if you didn't have an appointment.
