We arrived a little before our teatime and they had the cart ready for us and said we could go out on the course . We were warmly greeted both inside the cart barn and by the staff that got the cart ready for us. He also explained that we could warm up using the driving range before we played. Compared to the other course, it was much less crowded, and we felt like it was also a larger course with larger more natural looking obstacles along the way. The carts are the most high-tech we've used with great little video displays of each hole along the way. There are also a little warning beep. Epps win a bathroom or a water station are coming up as well as the usual ice and a cooler on the back of the cart. We thought the course was very natural looking and spacious. We were well behind the golfers ahead of us. We also enjoyed the beautiful landscaping of the gardens of the homes we passed. The only negative was a little bit of sand covering some of the cart track. Will return here again to enjoy this golf course

Starter was friendly and offered great advice to play the course, and he let us tee off early or whenever we were ready. Course is in excellent condition with not a brown spot of grass to be seen. Typical Palm Springs course that is challenging but not punishing, relatively flat but with well placed bunkers and many holes along the waters edge. I cant wait to play it again soon!

He helped me with something that was incredibly gracious and kind of him, he went above and beyond what you'd expect from most golf resorts. There are many many properties out in the Palm Springs Palm Desert area. I've played at almost all of them. Desert Willow hands-down has the best team of people working and supporting their operations. And as anybody could probably tell you, kind, friendly, and attentive staff make all of the difference in having a mediocre experience or having an absolutely fantastic experience. We chose Escena Golf Club as our final round, expecting it to be a great way to end the trip. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an interaction with the Marshall as we were finishing our round. He made several condescending remarks regarding our pace of play, despite there being no groups waiting behind us or any apparent impact on other players. We were also falsely told that our round had taken 5.5 hours. We finished in about 4.5 despite there being extreme wind throughout the course. The first group of 4 wanted to wait after the 18th hole for our friends in the next group to finish, and we got ran off the course and told that everyone wants to go home. We fully understand and respect the importance of maintaining pace of play, but the manner in which this situation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational and detracted from what had otherwise been an enjoyable experience.

We were stopped at the turn and told we had to skip two holes due to complaints from the group behind that we were holding up play. The group behind was our friends who hadn't complained or waited for us all day. Instead of a reasonable conversation, the marshal informed us that we obviously don't play much (I was 2 over) and we didn't have a choice. As we drove down the 10th, we could see the group behind still playing approach shots to the 9th, and the group behind that wasn't even on the 9th yet. He led us to the twelfth hole, where there was a backup and we waited for every shot for the remainder of the round. I've never encountered a course employee with this type of attitude, let alone expecting it when paying this much to play.
